The area was silent as a cold breeze swept by, making dust billow in the air. The cold, emotionless voice of the calamity codex resounded from Dusken's soul.
[You have slain a level one awakened human.]
[Your abyss within grows darker.]
Dusken felt a surge of power running through him as all the negative emotions threatened to drown his senses in the river of insanity.
Along with the negative emotions came an undeniable power. Dusken's strength soared after killing the soldier. His opponent was at level two and so gave more abysmal points, causing his power to increase significantly.
His wounds were slowly being healed by the Abyssal Flame, but he felt something different. As the cold fire wrapped his wounds, causing him to shudder as they closed, he felt detachment.
