"I'll answer all of your questions. But not right away." Charles continued with a yawn, "- How much do you intend to listen today? I doubt you'll remember anything at this rate."
"Worry not, Charles. I may not look like it, but I'm very good at remembering important information. If you don't want to answer now, I won't bother you. But, I'll strike you with these questions later."
Morgan stood up. And the moment he did, an arrow almost shot him. But he ducked, just at the right moment. Two arrows came towards him.
He laid himself down. He closed his eyes as he told Charles, "Protect my body. I'll return after killing them."
Charles created a metal cover which was semi-circle shaped, enough to cover them from everywhere possible. "Hey, don't kill them if possible. Try to knock them out and bring them to me. We'll miss their points if you kill them. So, understand."
"OK, I'll try not to kill them. But I don't know if it's possible. Just protect my body for me."
"Man, I can't trust you. I'll come along, is what I wanted to say, but the enemies are at the east and the west of us."
Morgan slept and his soul came out. Before his soul could go out, Charles said, "I'll cover the east. I'll leave west to you."
"Okay."
Morgan went through the protection and headed west, looking at the dark sky and the constellations for guidance of direction.
The sky was so clear that thousands of stars were visible up in the sky. The complete structure and positioning of the stars and the constellation were different from that of the real world.
What should have been the moon was twice in size and was glowing greenish-blue. It seemed like an emerald was floating in the sky.
After a long dash, he reached the enemy's point. There were a total of 5 people. All of them were archers. They wore demon masks and woollen clothes.
On their hands, they held a crossbow and arrow. On their back, there was an arrow bag. They were spread within a 25 25-meter radius. Morgan grabbed a person and used him to shoot 4 of them in the head.
He killed him by twisting his neck. He thought, "Oh, damn. I mistakenly killed them. I should have got some Intel. I just hope that Charles is up for it."
He turned towards the fire and took a step forward. A sound of the gun's safety lock opening came. A man from behind shouted, "I'm taking your head, bitch!"
Morgan turned back and said, "You can see me? I can assume that you're their leader, can't I?"
The man shot a bullet. It went right through Morgan. He said, "You're right. I'm their leader, brat."
Morgan glared at him with cold eyes. "Who the fuck are you calling a brat? Say sorry right away and I'll consider not killing you."
The man coughed and laughed as he said, "How old you are? 23 or 28? I'm 50. You see, I'm older than your dad. You should be praying respect to me. Since I'm the one who decides your life here."
Morgan sprang forward in action. The man took out a pendant and pressed it. A strong flash glew, shining so bright that it blinded Morgan's eyes.
The man took a chance and hit Morgan's head with the pendant. It touched Morgan. The man punched him. The punch was heavy on Morgan. Morgan landed a few meters behind.
He was barely able to get up. When he got up, his back wasn't straight. He was coughing vigorously. He thought, "If I were in body form, that would be enough to kill me. This guy's too strong. Must be that pendant. I need to avoid it at any cost."
The man removed the ammo of the pistol and reloaded it with a new one. The man said, "MS-16 bullets. You must've heard of 'em."
"What are you talking about?"
"I see. The standards of Interpol have fallen this much. I didn't expect them to recruit someone as clueless as you in the first division."
"Wait, how do you know that?"
"You'll die anyways, so fuck it." The man rushed towards Morgan with the pistol held by both of his hands.
The man shot. Morgan ducked. The man said, "Good reflexes. But not as good as what a first division member should have."
The bullet came back from behind at double speed. Morgan couldn't dodge it. The bullet crashed on his left leg. "AHH!!"
The man took out another pistol and reloaded it. He held 2 guns. He shot 2 bullets. "Fine, if you'll play like that, I'll do the same."
Morgan flew up. The bullet went up, chasing him. He was struggling to breathe, and with a hole in his left leg, he could not move it. The bullet was stuck in his leg but was almost out.
He flew around at full speed. The man shot another pair of bullets. The bullets surrounded him in all directions. He went as high as possible. After a point, he could barely breathe.
He shot himself towards the ground. He thought, "I think this should work."
He went underground. The bullets crashed on the ground and chased him even underground. The bullets went about 10 meters underground before they finally stopped.
Morgan took a long way up and sneaked behind the man. When Morgan was about to place his hand on the man's throat, the man turned and pointed the gun at Morgan's forehead.
"Did you think you'd win me in an underground battle?" The man shot him. He blanked out. His soul slowly faded away. The man thought, "Charles, what kinda asshole have you taken as a student this time? With this, I've killed 100 of your students."
The man withdrew his gun and went away. He took out a cigarette and lit it.
Meanwhile...
Charles removed the shield and ran towards the archers. When he could see them, he took out a pistol and took perfect aim. When he was near enough to not miss, he shot all the archers.
He investigated their clothes. Every archer's clothes had something in common. There was a capital S with a strike-through arrow.
