"Let's minimize the risk of detection," Ryan said as he walked out of the bedroom with Samuel to assess how they could close the wall through inside.
Ryan and Samuel started to scan the room for anything out of the ordinary, their eyes scouring every inch. They moved to the entrance, searching for a button or lever that could seal the wall through inside.
"Look for a panel or a hidden switch like the ones at the tunnel," Ryan said as he moved over to the walls and scanned them.
Their footsteps were muffled by the rug as they searched. Ryan examined the wall, his fingers tracing on it.
"I think this is it," Ryan said to Samuel, looking at a small button that has those symbols etched on them.
"See one here too," Samuel replied, his eyes fixed on a similar button on the entrance wall, that was opened.
Ryan walked over to Samuel side "Where?" Samuel pointed to the small button on the wall, nearly invisible.
"I saw one on the corner of the room wall too," Ryan said, his gaze shifting to the corner where the other button was.
"So one here, and one on the corner," Samuel replied in thought, as they weighed their options in which one they should press?.
Ryan was hesitant, weighing the risks, his eyes darting between the two buttons. All his life, he had been taking risks, some leading to narrow escapes from death and others to salvation. Now, which would he pick?.
"Let's try both," Ryan said, His instincts screaming at him to be caution, but his gut told him to act.
Samuel looked at Ryan and nodded. "What about the lights at the tunnel?" Samuel asked cautious, the tunnel lights were still on, and if someone - or those creatures - mistakenly come down here, they would definitely find that this was not a normal place with lights on. The possibility of that was daring.
"Let's do this first and see," Ryan replied, still looking at the buttons with different possibilities. They needed to finish the one at hand before going to the next phase and it would do them more good if the lights were still on for now, Ryan thought and because they were about to press the buttons, the lights could serve as a beacon, guiding them through the darkness. And if it was their death that awaited them, the lights could provide a good advantage, allowing them to run well.
Samuel nodded and focused on the task ahead."Simultaneously?" Samuel asked, if they would press the buttons together.
Ryan shook his head, No "Let's try mine first and see," Ryan said, moving towards the wall at the corner back again.
"Alright, here we go," Samuel said as Ryan's hand hovered over the button on the corner of the room wall, his fingers moving slightly and he took a deep breath, counting down the seconds to their uncertain fate. This was it the moment they knew they fucked up.(^^)
With a swift motion, Ryan pressed the button. The sound of the ground shaking , growing louder with each passing second. The vibrations beneath their feet intensified, making the air vibrate with the force.
The wall slid open, revealing another hidden space beyond. Ryan and Samuel were left speechless once more, their jaws dangling in unison as they beheld the breathtaking sight before them.
"Click."The lights turned on, illuminating the space and revealing the secrets it held. The fluorescent tubes overhead flickered to life.
"This place keeps getting more exciting," Samuel said, filled with excitement, as he walked into the room with Ryan behind him.
"Exciting isn't the word I'd use," Ryan replied, his eye moving over the place, taking in the rows of tables that stretched out before them. If they could count correctly, they could say at least 20 tables were lined up, empty and silent.
A shelf was leaned against one end of the room, lined with rows of bottles. The dark glass containers reflected the fluorescent light, that wasn't shining like normal lights. Each bottle was labeled with letters.
Ryan and Samuel walked over to the shelf, their footsteps echoing off the silent room, passing all the tables to reach the shelf.
They stopped at the shelf and scanned it from the top to the bottom, taking in the sheer number of bottles.
"There must be hundreds of bottles here," Samuel whispered, calculating the bottles but there where to much to count with just his eyes.
Ryan nodded, his gaze sweeping across the shelf. Samuel's hand traced the curve of one bottle, his finger stopping at the label. "Wait, millet?" Samuel read the word aloud, his brow furrowed in confusion.
Ryan picked up one of the bottles, turning it well in his hand to study the label. "Rice," he read, scanning the tiny print. The bottles were all colored black, covering the contents within. Only the labels provided any clue as to what lay inside.
Ryan's curiosity got the better of him and he carefully twisted the cap from the bottle and the seal around it broke. A faint hiss escaped, releasing the pressure inside.
Ryan peered inside the bottle, his eyes gazing at the contents, he was met by rice seeds which were in a pale golden brown color.
"Rice seeds," Ryan said to Samuel, holding up the bottle for him to see.
Samuel walked closer to Ryan, carrying the millet-labeled bottle. "Let me see what's inside this one," Samuel said and he carefully twisted the cap.
Samuel peered inside and he saw millet seeds which were a light brown color.
"What do you think they're doing with all these seeds?" Samuel said dropping the bottle back to its original place.
"I don't know, but I thinking we're looking at a classy farm," Ryan answered with the rows of bottles looking back at them
"A classy fram?" Ryan gestured to the bottles. "Look at the setup, the tables and the bottles with seeds, this place was really thought out well."
