"Grrrrrrrrrr"
The creature's sharp leg stabbed into the ground mere inches from Samuel's legs, sending shivers down his spine. The sound of scraping on concrete echoed through the room, a chilling screech that seemed to shake the ground beneath their feets.
Samuel quickly leapt backward, trying to avoid the deadly blow by mere seconds.
"Fucking bastard," Samuel breathed, stabilizing his stance, his chest heaving as he looked with wide eyes, that bastard nearly stabbed me, he thought.
Aria's small torch light finally reached where the creature was, casting a glow on its twisted features. The light danced across the creature's body, highlighting its grotesque appearance.
"Grrrrr"
The creature's body was unlike anything Aria had ever seen. Its was lean, so fucking lean and it's somehow looking like a human but the torso seemed to defy its human body because of its monstrous appearance the legs told a different story. Eight razor sharp claws extended from each leg, gleaming in the torchlight. Each claw was shaped like a scimitar, curved and deadly, with a serrated edge.
The creature's skin was a mass of scars and dark, mottled scales. Its face was twisted, with sunken eyes that glowed like embers.
"What the hell is that thing?" Aria whispered, her hand that held the small torch light, trembled.
The creature's eyes seemed to pierce through the shadows and fixed on Aria with an unblinking stare.
The glow from the creatures eyes was illuminating the dark room like fire. "Grrrrr," the creature growled growled again as if challenging them.
Aria shuddered at the sound and the creature took a step closer, its razor sharp claws clicking on the concrete floor.
The creature's twisted and monstrous body seemed to be crafted from nightmares and that's going to be Aria's as she looked at the eight razor sharp legs again that was moving towards them.
Ryan and Aria's gun snapped up and they directly aimed at the creature, ready to shoot. The barrel trembled slightly at Aria's hand as it was reflecting the tension in her hands.
Ryan finger hovered over the trigger, poised to unleash a hell of bullets on the creature.
"Grrrrrrr!" The creature snarled, saliva dripping from its mouth, its razor sharp teeth showing in the faint light.
"BAM!"
"Motherfucker left his eyes off me!" Samuel exclaimed with a grin, swinging a shattered wooden chair leg at the creature's skull with all his might. The force of the blow sent the creature stumbling backward, its claws swiping wildly.
The chair leg that was used to strike the creature splintered, fragments flying everywhere, and the sound echoed through the room like a crack of thunder. Shards of wood embedded themselves in the walls, and the floor was littered with pieces.
"Grrrrrrrrrr!" the creature screamed in rage , its voice like a raging tempest. The creature's eyes blazed with fury and its sharp claws swiped out wildly in the air.
"Go, go, go!" Samuel shouted, dropping the small remaining piece of the wood in the chaos.
Ryan quickly scooped Aria up and positioned her on his back. Aria also quickly wrapped her injured leg and wrist around Ryan's torso, securing herself. Her face contorted in heavy pain at the quick movements.
"Hold tight!" Ryan said, sprinting towards the entrance of the cabin, Aria securely held to his back. The wooden floors creaked beneath his heavy steps he took and the walls seemed to blur together as they rushed past to the door.
"Grrrrrrr."
The creature's thunderous roar shook the cabin, causing the windows to rattle and the door to tremble.
Samuel quickly followed behind as Ryan burst through the door, slamming it open with a resounding crash that echoed through the forest. The sound waves of the creature rippled through the trees, causing leaves to rustle and branches to sway.
"Eat dust, fucker, hahaha" Samuel shouted, slamming the door shut behind them with a loud thud. The wooden door creaking under the force.
Ryan sprinted forward with Aria clinging tightly to his back. Her face pressed into his shoulder, her breath warm against his skin.
The creature's thunderous roar shook the cabin. Samuel could feel the creature's fury.
"Off the torch light!" Samuel yelled scanning the surroundings. The forest loomed before them, dark and foreboding. Shadows hid unknown dangers, and the trees seemed to twist and writhe in the flickering moonlight. The air was thick with tension.
Aria quickly switched off her small torchlight, plunging their surroundings into darkness. The sudden absence of light made the darkness feel oppressive, like a physical weight pressing down on them with only the moon.
"Keep going!" Samuel shouted from behind.
Ryan's boots pounded the earth, sending shockwaves through his legs. His lungs burned, and sweats dripped from his brows.
Aria's grip tightened around Ryan's body, her arms wrapped securely around his neck. Her face pressed into his shoulder.
"I've got you," Ryan whispered to Aria as they ran, the creature's enraged bellows echoed through the forests.
The trees seemed to close in around them, branches snagging at their clothes and scratching at their skin. Thorns and brambles tangled around their ankles.
The brushes were thick, slowing down their pace. Samuel lungs burned, his breath coming in ragged gasps while their footsteps echoed through the forest.
The night air was chilly as they ran, the crispness biting at their skin, sending shivers down their spines but despite the chilling air, sweat still dripped down from their brows, mixing with the dirt on their faces.
Their breath was visible in the cold air as they panted heavily, their chests heaving up and down.
The forest trees before them stood like sentinels, their towering trunks shrouded in darkness, branches twisted and gnarled like skeletal fingers.(^^)
Leaves rustled through the wind, casting long, shadows on the ground. The darkness seemed to pulse with a life of its own, as if the very forest itself was alive and hostile.
"Grrrrrrr", the creature's enraged bellows echoed through the forest, a chilling reminder of its presence.
Its thunderous roar grew louder, shaking the earth.
