Lucas looked around, taking in the scene. Nami was clutching the log pose, trying to steady herself, while Luffy shook off the remaining droplets of seawater, his usual grin replaced by a serious expression.
Sanji, had positioned himself in front of Robin, ready to defend at a moment's notice. Zoro's hand still hovered near his sword, his eyes scanning the horizon for any further threats. Chopper was huddled beside Usopp, his tiny body still trembling, while Robin maintained her usual calm demeanor, her eyes revealing a hint of concern.
"How did a ship this big end up in the sky?" Usopp wondered aloud, staring at the giant ship as it slowly sank beneath the waves.
"Talk about bizarre," Sanji noted, shaking his head in disbelief.
"Ms. Navigator, you said something about the log pose pointing up?" Robin asked, her curiosity piqued.
"Hmm, oh yeah, and it's still doing so," Nami replied, glancing at the log pose. "Could it really be broken?" she wondered aloud.
"Maybe..." Robin muttered, her eyes thoughtful.
"You know something," Lucas asked, picking up on her hesitation.
"It could be that the log pose has locked onto the island in the sky known as Sky Island," Robin said, looking up towards the sky.
"An island in the sky?" Usopp wondered, his eyes widening in amazement.
"So cool, let's go there now!" Luffy said enthusiastically, practically bouncing with excitement.
"Yeah, let's turn the rudders upwards," Usopp suggested, equally thrilled.
"You don't even know how to get there," Lucas remarked, his tone half-amused.
"Besides, the rudders don't even turn that way, Cap," Sanji added, shaking his head.
"Say it's not true," Usopp wailed, collapsing to the ground dramatically.
"I'm sure the log pose will start working properly again. It's just broken," Nami said, trying to reassure herself as much as the others.
"Has there ever been such a case?" Lucas asked, his curiosity mirroring the navigator's concern.
"I concur, Ms. Navigator. Instead of being in disbelief, we should try to figure out how to reach the direction the log pose is pointing towards—unless you're certain that the log pose is broken and you can fix it," Robin suggested, putting Nami in a tough spot.
"Come on already. Did you forget?" Lucas spoke up, breaking the momentary silence. "We were told constantly when entering the Grand Line that things don't make much sense here. And didn't we go to a prehistoric island already? What's with that lack of belief?" Usopp and Luffy adamantly agreed, while Nami reluctantly nodded.
"Haaa, fine," Nami conceded.
"Yeah, we're going to Sky Island! We're going to Sky Island!" Usopp and Luffy sang in joy, their enthusiasm infectious.
"Anyway, for now, let's get as much evidence as we can," Robin said, pointing at the nearly sunken ship.
"Well, I guess I should also help out," Lucas said, stepping forward. He transformed into Gravattack, the ship billowing under the change of his weight.
"Hey, could you warn us before doing that?" Nami yelled, her voice tinged with irritation.
"Haha, sorry about that," Lucas replied, his tone light-hearted.
"Cool! What can this guy do?" Luffy and Usopp crowded around Lucas, their eyes wide with curiosity.
"What a strange ability you have," Robin remarked, her eyes studying Lucas intently.
Lucas was about to curl into a ball but then paused. "You know what? I don't think I've used the ultimate function yet," he said, leading the others to look at him in confusion.
"Hold on a sec," he said as he reached for the Omnitrix, turning it.
"What's he doing?" Usopp wondered aloud.
"That symbol—it's that weird watch he always wears," Nami said, her eyes narrowing in realization. "Come to think of it, he always has it on, even when he's in those weird forms," she added.
"Could it be the source of his powers?" they wondered collectively as Lucas pressed it, transforming into the ultimate form of Gravattack. He hovered above the Merry as the ship began to rise from the waters.
"So cool! I don't know what you just did, but now you look a hundred percent cooler," Luffy remarked, his eyes gleaming with excitement. The ship rose in an unbelievable way, the water not displaced at all as Lucas manipulated both the ship and water, not stirring waves as he lifted it up and brought it closer to the Merry.
"There you go, now you can explore the ship to your heart's content," Lucas said with a grin.
"Cool, guys, look! The ship is floating!" Luffy, already onboard, exclaimed joyously.
Robin and Sanji went onto the ship, followed by Usopp and Chopper, who wanted to play along with Luffy. Robin and Sanji took anything they found that could carry information about the ship.
"It's been a while now. Aren't you tired or something?" Zoro asked, his curiosity piqued.
"Well, I am a living planet and an ultimate peak one at that," Lucas replied in his mind. "This is nothing," he said aloud.
Robin and Sanji settled back on the Merry, examining everything they had taken. "Haaa! Guys, look!" Luffy called out, holding up a treasure map.
"Skypiea?" Nami wondered as she read the map.
"Look, the clouds and everything. It must be the Sky Island," Luffy said excitedly.
"So it really does exist," Usopp remarked, his eyes wide with wonder.
"Wait, don't get your hopes up. What if this is a fake map..." Nami began, but as she looked at the three, she saw they were struck with depression by her words. "W-wait, it's not like I'm a hundred percent sure," she said, trying to lift their spirits.
"Well, that settles it then," Luffy declared. "Nami, set course to Skypiea!"
Nami clobbered Luffy on the head. "Weren't you listening? I have no idea how to get there," she said, exasperated.
"Fuwuu! In any case, it's not like we're going anywhere else with the log pose pointing up," she conceded.
"I think we've got everything we can take from the ship," Robin informed Lucas.
"Oh, right," Lucas said, still holding the ship. He dropped it slowly, not startling the water.
"Huh, do you guys hear that?" Chopper said, his ears perking up.
"What are you talking about?" Usopp asked.
"No, listen," Chopper insisted.
"Salvage! Salvage! Salvage!" A chant started ringing louder and louder.
"Look," Zoro pointed.
"Bananas?" Luffy remarked, confused.
"Now men! Prepare to lift the ship! You all know it, right? Every sunken ship is mine!" a voice shouted from a banana-shaped ship, echoed by the crew.
"Is this place only filled with weirdos?" Nami remarked, exasperated.
"Huh, you there! What are you doing? This is my territory, and that ship is mine," a monkey-like man yelled.
"Haa, oh sorry about that. We're new here, you see," Lucas replied as he let the ship sink on its own. Once it was completely submerged, he turned back to normal. "Anyway, we don't want anything to do with that ship, so we'll be on our way now," he added.
"Well, then it was nice meeting you," the monkey man said.
"Is that what you thought I'd say? I can see the stuff you salvaged from the ship!" he yelled, his eyes narrowing as he realized what they had taken.
