Chapter 24: A Mysterious Past
As Yun-ho, Nova, and Ethan prepared to leave the academy, Anya approached them with a determined look in her eyes.
"I want to come with you," she said. "I think I can be of help."
Yun-ho and Nova exchanged glances. Anya was a talented mage, and her skills could be invaluable on their mission.
"Are you sure?" Yun-ho asked. "It could be dangerous."
Anya nodded. "I'm ready. I've been training hard, and I think I can hold my own."
With that, the group decided to postpone their departure from the academy. They knew that they would need to gather more information and supplies before they embarked on their journey.
As they continued to explore the library, Yun-ho couldn't help but feel a sense of curiosity about Anya. She was a mysterious figure, always keeping her cards close to her chest.
One evening, while they were studying in the library, Yun-ho decided to ask Anya about her past.
"Anya, where are you from?" he asked.
Anya hesitated for a moment. "I don't remember much about my childhood," she said. "All I know is that I was found abandoned in the woods, near the academy."
Yun-ho was intrigued. "Do you think you might have been connected to the academy in some way?"
Anya shrugged. "It's possible. I've always felt a strange connection to this place."
Yun-ho nodded. "Maybe there's something in your past that could help us on our mission."
As Yun-ho, Nova, and Ethan prepared to leave the library, Anya suggested they take a break and explore the academy grounds. She had heard a rumor about a hidden garden behind the library, and she was curious to see it for herself.
Following Anya's lead, they ventured into the hidden garden. It was a peaceful oasis, filled with colorful flowers and a babbling brook. As they strolled through the garden, they discussed their plans for the future.
"I think we should focus on gathering more information about the Heart of Darkness," Yun-ho said. "We need to know as much as possible before we set out on our journey."
Nova agreed. "And we should also continue to train. The challenges we'll face will be difficult."
As they walked through the garden, Yun-ho couldn't help but feel a sense of hope. He knew that with his friends by his side, he could overcome any obstacle.
