Blood dripping on the ground was all that could be heard, as a vision of Haru began to appear standing with the spear within his chest.
(Haru's View.)
Staring into the distance at this general I could see myself fighting him. This wasn't the end for me, I couldn't just die here.
I've got to make a name for myself, I have to protect Lena, and I need to kill the demon lord myself.
Haru began to pull the spear out of his chest as blood spurt out of his chest onto the ground.
Splat!
"I can help. Please let me-
Haru didn't even let her finish speaking.
"I've got this." Haru says as he wipes blood from his mouth.
Realizing that he never dropped his sword, it was an eye opener for him. He knew that his battle wasn't over.
I don't know how I'm still breathing just yet but I'm not done with this journey of mine.
He began to grip his sword and started walking towards the demon general before him. The blood was still going down his gear as he continued his walk but something was keeping him going.
Whether it was his drive to stop the demon lord, to save Mai, protect Lena, it was something strong.
I can focus on a light heal to stop the bleeding but I haven't brushed up on my healing magic in a long time. A taboo for someone to wield as many skills as me, but no one needs to know of it.
I'm unsure if I'll be able to kill him but if I can at least fend him off hard enough for him to retreat that'll be enough.
Dash!!! Running in as fast as he could towards the general the sky had begun falling once more. Chunks of rocks had been the next option of choice in this spell.
Swiftly dodging each one with ease he was starting to warm up to this battle with each second. As much as the spear hurt with its fire wrapped around it, Haru was determined.
This feeling was one I waited for, the feeling of a good battle. Someone worthy of the power I can wield, that is something I needed to do.
I'm not an S class hero for nothing, even my current skills are enough to make me worthy of the class. Those other skills are just extras to make me even stronger.
*S Class skill, Heavens Strength * (A skill used to buff the hero's overall strength, speed, and reflexes.)
Breathe in, breathe out.
Appearing behind the general within moments he could feel the difference in Haru immediately. The white aura that started to emit from Haru was a sign of his strength increasing.
"I'm afraid I don't die that easily." Haru says while slashing his blade downward.
Slashing down the back of the general he could see blood spurt out his back and onto the ground before the general teleports a couple of feet away.
"Bravo. I see more of the hero that I was looking for, it definitely shows in your attack." The General says while in pain.
No reason to talk. Don't play like them.
Swoosh!! Right before the demons eyes he could see Haru's cold, lifeless eyes as his sword pierced his stomach.
"Cough. Cough. Wow, you really are what they say you are." The General says while coughing up blood.
The Demon began to laugh after he finished his statement and pulled back as far as he could from Haru. But it wasn't working in his favor, each time he was pursued with no way to recover.
Small shockwaves would echo throughout the area with each time Haru attacked the general.
Clang!!!!! Finally the general had blocked Haru's attack with his gauntlet, yet the general was covered in wounds from the flurry of attacks that had been left on him from Haru's pressure.
Not giving him any chance to recover has left him in a vulnerable spot that no one would want to be in.
"I can't die here today Mr. Hero. But I can fight you another day when my lord deems it necessary." The General says before disappearing.
Gashes, stab wounds, and just blood were all over that damn guy. I could've killed him right?
Thud. Haru had fallen into the ground without realizing it.
I healed the wound but I'm sure I lost a lot of blood before that so it's only natural that my body would give out eventually.
"Haru!" Mai shouts in the distance.
A demon army was slaughtered today, a general was pushed back, and I came out with scrapes and bruises. I'd say that it was a good day after all.
The sky wasn't so dark anymore either, maybe a peaceful nap would help.
Haru drifted off after that for awhile, laying amongst the demons he slayed with Mai. It didn't take long for her to get to him but he was just out cold.
His wound had been sealed from his light healing magic and kept him from dying but it doesn't recover all the blood he lost.
"You really know how to scare people you dummy." Mai says while sitting next to Haru.
She examined his wound to see it was healed but then all the other scars were revealed to her. Cuts across his chest, by his stomach, the most noticeable one on his face.
He really was a battle worn hero and she was starting to get that idea in her head after seeing all these scars.
(A couple of hours go by.) A small camp Further north from the fields where the demons were slain.
"Gah. Where am I?" Haru asks while sitting up, feeling the slight pain in his chest.
He took notice of the small tent he was in and realized that Mai had been sitting in a chair next to him.
"I setup a camp for us while you were asleep. You really are something, I don't even know how you're alive." Mai responds while looking up and down Haru.
Hmm, I wonder that same thing all the time.
