Ling Wei arrived at Jiang Jian's luxurious residence, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. The evening unfolded with laughter and easy conversation as they savored the hotpot filled with tender beef, succulent shrimp, and flavorful vegetables.
As they drank wine, Ling Wei's cheeks flushed, her words slurring. Jiang Jian's eyes crinkled at the corners as he smiled.
"Maybe you've had enough," he teased, gently taking the glass from her hand.
Ling Wei's giggles turned to soft murmurs as she leaned against him. Jiang Jian's expression softened; he scooped her up, carrying her to the extra bedroom.
The next morning, Ling Wei woke, disoriented. Her eyes widened as she realized she was still in Jiang Jian's house – and wearing a silky nightie.
"Jiang Jian!" she thundered, storming out of bed. "You bastard, what did you do to me?"
Jiang Jian leaned against the doorframe, smirking. "Don't worry, I got someone to change your clothes."
Ling Wei's face burned with embarrassment. "Thank you."
"I made breakfast; come downstairs," Jiang Jian said, disappearing.
After a refreshing shower, Ling Wei descended to the kitchen, where Jiang Jian presented a mouthwatering spread.
"I didn't know a CEO could cook," she marveled, tasting the fluffy rice.
Just as they finished, Gu Xun burst in, eyes wide.
"You...two," he stammered.
Ling Wei's face ignited; she grabbed her purse, covering her face, and fled.
Jiang Jian chuckled, shrugging at Gu Xun. "See you later."
He dropped Ling Wei at work, the tension palpable.
"Goodbye, Mr. Jiang. Thank you for the ride," she said hastily, jumping out of the car.
Jiang Jian smiled, watching her hurry away.
