Ethan's hands froze in place, and sooner than ever, he came back from his reverie.
He placed the bottle of wine on the centre table before pouring it into the two glasses he had brought.
The droplets of wine only added to the tension in the room, the air thickening as Zayden waited for a reply impatiently.
Ethan settled down beside Zayden, handing him the half-filled glass of red wine, his face a stern mask and his eyes narrowed.
Zayden accepted the glass but didn't sip from it; the matter at hand was more important than anything else.
"Did it have anything to do with Zara?" Zayden asked, impatience lacing his voice and curiosity filling his eyes.
"I did my research, and I discovered that Mr. Reed is just a small business owner of a bakery mall," Alex said, taking a sip of his wine.
"A bakery mall?" Zayden asked, squinting his eyes.
