My phone is placed on my ear. I can't help but pace forth and back hoping he picks up soon.
Last night still looks like a dream to me, seeing someone shot and also a bullet pulled out of the same person, his groan still hunting my ears.
I paced back and forth in my room, my phone clenched in my hand as I waited for Lorenzo to pick it up.
But despite my repeated attempts, he wasn't responding. I tried to push aside the worry that was growing inside me, telling myself that he was probably just busy with work. But I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off again.
He must have gone to his crazy warehouse again and maybe put himself through some dirty troubles that would cause him to get chased or attacked by his rivals.
I have always watched this on TV and read books, but never in my wildest dream did I know I would be experiencing this in reality.
