ISABELLA
As I packed up my things, preparing to head home from the office, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease.
It had been a long day, and the encounter with Livia in the courtroom earlier had left a sour taste in my mouth.
Just as I was about to leave, I saw Livia approaching me again. "Why are you still here?" she asked, her voice laced with concern. "Are you trying to go home late?"
I raised an eyebrow, feeling a surge of annoyance, why the fuvk does she care?
"My husband never told you to watch over me, so I don't see why you're asking me that sly question," I replied, my tone firm but polite.
Livia's face fell, and she looked embarrassed. She glanced around nervously, noticing the people passing by.
"I didn't mean to overstep," she said, trying to save face. "I just wanted to make sure you are okay, you are my sister still you don't want to have a good relationship with me"
