Endius' PoV
Given my personality, it had been hard to make friends and that explains why I am not so close to Charlotte and Anguis. I am not a shy person but that doesn't mean I like to talk to people in general. My close bonding to Selene had been a result of a traumatic experience we both shared. We were now close allies and she has been the only female who I have been close friends with.
So that explains the situation I am in right now, with Diana's head on my shoulder, crying her eyes out. Let me tell you how it all started. After the breakfast, I had decided to return to my room to relax for a little while. On my way back, I saw a crying Diana sitting in the corner, on a bench. It was on the backside of the academy so not many people were present.
At first, I thought that I should ignore her but I couldn't leave her alone there. With that, I approached her but without preparing any sort of script, leaving me blank when the time to ask her what's wrong came. After a few minutes of thinking, I finally uttered few words to "supposedly" console her.
"Y-you okay?" I couldn't help but stutter. How was I suppose a person, that to a female? Still I decided to go with the flow. You can do it Endius!
"Do I look like I am okay?" She shouted, still whipping. How else was I supposed to start a conversation? I think I am about to cry. And I can't just abruptly leave now, can I? Way to go!
"I-I am… sorry! I didn't mean to offend you. I was just concerned." I tried to be as polite as I could be.
"If you want, you can cry on my shoulders as your hands must be paining and also you would have free tissue paper." I tried to joke I guess. It wasn't funny though but still it brought a smile on her face. I sighed softly yet discreetly, on seeing her smile.
"Remember, it was you who suggested this, not me. So don't blame me if your clothes get dirty." With that she placed her head on my shoulder. I couldn't help but laugh on what she had said.
"Yes yes, I won't blame you for it." The conversation had lightened up the mood to some extent. Though I was curious to know why she had been crying so much but decided not. She needed space at this point.
We sat like this for a long time. Her long, scarlet hair were constantly grazing my hand, leaving a ticklish feeling behind. I had never seen such an alluring hair colour before even though it was not uncommon in Lunor to have different hair colour.
But her hair looked so well maintained and they were soft. I must say she looked quite ravishing.
Suddenly I heard a slight ruffling noise from my side. I looked at Diana ,who had still kept her head on my shoulder, unaware of her surroundings, before I turned on my side to look at my side to see who it was. My eyes met Alex's eyes. He had this unusual expression on his face and when he looked at us , he left but not before…. glaring at me?
Now what did I do wrong? I just can't understand anyone here. Diana clutched my arm all of a sudden and looked up at me. Her eyes had puffed up and had her nose had turned bright red from all that crying. She looked cute.
"Thank you so much for comforting me. And also, sorry for shouting at you . I just couldn't handle it anymore. Also can you please keep this a secret?" She asked me.
"No, it's alright and don't worry, I wont tell anyone about today but if you won't mind me asking, can you tell what happened?" Generally, I am not so curious but today has been an exception, I guess.
She then proceeded to tell me about her feelings for Alex and rest of the things. I must admit, I found everything kind of funny. Both brother and sister have a common taste. But if I say that out loud, today would be my last day in this world. We talked a little more before we realised that we were running late.
I think I made a friend today. It feels…good?

Alexander's PoV
After she had left the table, I decided to go behind her. But as she had not eaten her breakfast properly, I thought it would be better to buy her something before that and then approach her. So I ordered a bottle of juice and two strawberry pastries for her. She loves strawberry pastry. The order took a little while but the wait had been worth it.
As soon as I prepared everything, I walked along the path that she had taken. I was thinking about how I should proceed with my confession when I saw her in Endius' arm. They were sharing an intimate moment, her head on his shoulder, the site of which had shattered my heart into millions of pieces. My body flared up with rage. I felt betrayed even though we were not together. If I had stayed there for even a minute longer, I would have lost my control over my powers.
So I ran away from there, towards my room, to calm myself down or else it would be dangerous if I lost my control. Nothing felt right. All I could feel was pain…
