Flustered, that's what I felt when Anguis pecked me all of the sudden. I know we had decided to give our relationship a chance but wasn't the pace a little too fast?
And as if I wasn't shocked enough, he suddenly grabbed my hands under the table and whispered so seductively, I had goosebumps all over my body. I would be lying if I said I didn't like it but you need to tell me beforehand so that I can prepare my heart.
It was almost time for the lecture, when I reached the class. I had packed my bag as we were going stay in human world for about two night and three days. Our class had sixteen students in it, which was not less considering the low acceptance rate of the academy. The maximum student allowed in each class were twenty.
I saw Diana sitting there, her expression stating that her mood had improved considerably. I approached her with a small hello. To which she replied back with a hello. I started initiating small talks before the class started, in order to relax her. We were about to go to the human world for the first time, I didn't want her to be upset all the while there. We need to enjoy our youth as much as we can.
The class started as the teacher had entered the class.
"Good morning everyone, as you all know in today's class we have decided to go to the human realm, the first hour of the class will be dedicated to introducing human realm to you before we actually visit it.
For the starters, I want everyone to collect their respective watches and fatebook before we start the class."
We began to collect the items and went back to our seats.
Then she continued, "Let me explain to you what is the function of the watch and fatebook. The watch here is crafted to monitor your power levels and the effiency of tasks. It runs on magic gem. You must wear it all the time. The spell ensures your privacy, so don't worry about that. In case of any emergency, you shall press the button on your right hand side.
Now about the fatebook, it is the book that will inform you about the couples you need to unite or break. Their personal details like age, occupation etc. are written in it. With the help of this information, you need to blend in their surroundings and stabilise them enough to perform spells on them.
Now what does stabilising mean?
As you know, human bodies are not adapted to magic. So when you directly perform a spell on them, they might not able to sustain it. So we stabilise their inner energy levels using the spell given in the fatebook for your reference. When you feel that the energy level is sustained to a neutral state, you put or remove the match making ring from their body.
Each couple in this world has their respective set of rings that are invisible to them. When these rings are removed from them, they disintegrate stating the end of their relationship. If after removal, the rings become slightly faded, this means that they are bound to have a reunion. In extremely rare cases, a existing relationship can have a new set of ring after breaking up."
Like I said, how can these people speak so much, without any break! That was too much information at once. She again started talking, about the rule this time.
"As this your first time in human world, I will be telling you some rules that need to be followed each and every time.
1. You must not disclose your identity in front of any human being.
2. You must not use your powers in such a way that it can harm any human being.
3. You are not allowed to indulge in any sort of romantic relationship with the human beings. You are allowed to be friends or acquaintances with them but you should be aware of your limits.
4. When you reach the human realm, you will be assigned a job in order for you to be around your target. Please do the assigned task dedicatedly.
You must know that there are people from heaven [Communication course] who are assigned to stay in human realm and control the situation over there. These are the people who assign jobs to other members in order to facilitate the task of matchmaking/ defense/ psychic control more easily. You must abide with their command and inform them in case of any mishaps.
Now, please take a look to which group you are assigned to and sit with your respective partners."
I looked for my name and found it in the match breaking column. I was in group three and my partner for today was Diana. There were total of eight groups, four groups for match making and four group for match breaking. In each group there were two people. I was happy that I got Diana as my partners.
I sat next to her and that's when we recieved our guide to the human. I started reading it and I was shocked to see who our targeted couple was….
