Chapter 5 - 5. Belivers? Gacha?

Ok Thais is some kind of joke or what?

I was "playing" this for 5 days and nothing happened, then out of nowhere a stupid fat nobleman appears (probably) who uses authority (coercion by force) to take advantage of the innocent villagers (in this case, just try, right), then I I finish him and his henchmen and level up (cool), something I honestly didn't even know you could do in this game and I still got some skills.

Okay some boring but I could live with that, but then what happens right after?

After 5 days of nothing?

I leveled up a second time at the same time, literally not even 5 after leveling up for the first time.... WHAT IS IN THE MIND OF THE CRAZIES WHO MADE THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!

.....

Ok, little tantrum and lack of control over, now let's focus on the present.

Fact, now some game-type things have happened, which is great, so let's do the logical thing and see the effects of the new ability.

[Eyes of the Judge: gives the ability to see the intensity of karma, positive and negative, that intelligent beings accumulate throughout their lives (living beings without intelligence do not count as they are guided by instinct and therefore cannot be held responsible for their actions)

•Blue aura = positive karma

•Red aura = negative karma.]

Hmm, so it's the perfect complement to my Punishment skill, now I'll be able to be more sure of who to punish without worrying too much. That's what I thought until I activated the ability and saw the NPCs that were still in the tavern.

They all had a blue aura and a red aura mixed together, being specific they all had a blue aura "emanating" from them like fire but they all had a red outline at the end with varying shades of red. I can only imagine that this is the way of saying that no one is completely something and what is always more of a tendency than a certainty in behavior.

Well for the majority, the dead knights and nobleman all had blood red auras still visible even if their figures were black, one or another knight would have a very (very) light tone of blue outline but it was honestly negligible, well sort of apart. of vapor before dissipating into the air.

Strangely, I even felt a little bad for killing you, maybe they could have given you the chance to redeem themselves if they had the opportunity, maybe.

But regretting the past doesn't help the future, and if they really wanted the opportunity to repent they could have tried to placate their bosses even a little, sure they would probably get a spanking or something but they would have had a clear conscience before doing so. die.... Not that they expected to die today and like this, but....

While I was having yet another philosophical and moralistic debate with myself (seriously because I've been doing this so much lately), a new notification appeared.

[A mortal soul is praying with all its being for the help of the gods. Do you wish to fulfill this request?]

A mortal soul?

As soon as the tavern returned to the screen I could see one of the female figures with a "?!" just above the head. More specifically one of the figures who hit one of the knights in the head with a chair.

Clicking on it another window appeared.

[Hannah begs the heavens to save her dying friend.]

It was soon followed by the first mission I received since I started playing.

[Mission: Prayer to the heavens

Description: Hannah never believed in forces greater than those on earth, but after witnessing a group of 1st star knights die inexplicably alongside their master, this belief was shaken. Now as a last hope she asks the beings who helped them to give a little more of their attention and save Conrad.

Rewards: + believer, ???, random skill.

Failed: Account deleted.

...

Wow

Another thing I didn't know this game had, missions. As soon as I leveled up to level 2, another icon appeared on the screen, a little scroll that anyone who has played RPG recognizes as the session of this, needless to say but until now there has never been any mission.

And this is a description that is not a bit heavy, and speaking of heavy, this penalty is not exaggerated, right?!!!

And how do you expect me to help save the guy who's bleeding on the floor there, huh?!

In fact, another point for the developers for the animation, but did it have to leave the blood flowing in such a realistic way?!

But back to the problem, I don't have

way to help, my skills are basically to observe and punish, there is nothing to cure or protect unfortunately. But I want to know where this story goes and like any player I want the rewards, so doing nothing is also out of the question, not to mention that I personally respect the guy for trying to defend his family even though he knew something like this could happen.

Uffff what to do....?!

Then I remembered the first level UP, it said that I unlocked a store, right, I won't be so unlucky that there won't be any type of healing item there, right?

I know, I know, I'm raising a flag, I know, but this is real life, it even seems like it's going to be that bad.

And three seconds later I want to punch myself for that thought. Good news and bad news.

Good news, there are healing items, so I wasn't completely wrong.

Bad news, I don't have the "money" necessary to buy it.

Almost every item in the store needs something called sacrificial coins, not divinity points that I have, meaning it was probably some kind of Premium currency or that I only got through events which obviously I don't even know if it will get you something like that here.

Another good news, there is even a healing item for divinity points along with some other things that can be purchased with divinity on just one of the store's shelves. Another bad news all the items on that shelf so far above my pay list, how far above? About 498 thousand above the minimum.

And more bad news, as soon as I closed the mission tab to see if there were items that could be used in the store, the game interpreted it as acceptance of the mission. Of course I wasn't wrong but I couldn't just give myself a moment to plan, it wasn't meant to be a more idle game, it doesn't seem very idle to me now!!!!

While I was complaining internally, things continued to go on in the tavern and I was feeling pressure due to the timer that appeared with the mission accepted.

[3:00

2:57....

Now I only have less than a minute before the guy gets over this for the better. Let's think, think, think. I was moving my fingers as fast as I thought possible trying to see if there was anything to help but nothing.

There was only one option left, the worst option for those who like to plan things, but the best for those who like the thrill of facing the unknown. Gacha

Yes, I also considered the gacha as soon as the timer started running, but the reason I didn't do it is quite simple. Need to pay.

There is not even an option for a free spin for the first unlock or daily limit, but it is only accessible by paying, at least it is a draw of 10 attempts at once so you would be sure of at least one rare item. You would think so, but not only is this only accessible by paying, it also does not guarantees a rare draw, but again there is no limit so you can keep doing the gacha until you get something good as long as the money in your account can last.

....

Rethinking things, do I really care so much about an NPC that I would spend money to save him? I considered it for a moment and the answer is.. yes I care.

Then I just hope they don't charge too much. Please oh Lord above, let it not be a big robbery I ask you.

I ordered while with a heavy heart I clicked on the roulette wheel.
