Chapter 36 - Aizawa x Y/N

It was the beginning of November at U.A. High School, and the once seasoned teachers of hero training were feeling a familiar buzz in the air. With the entrance of the new month came an exhilarating challenge that had the staff slightly uneasy yet oddly excited: NNN, or No Nut November. The idea of abstaining from certain... activities for the month had floated around the hero community long enough for it to become a tradition, even among the teaching staff.

Midnight breezed into the teacher's lounge, her signature playful smirk on display. "Alright, everyone! November is finally here, which means it's time for NNN!" she announced, her voice dripping with enthusiasm.

Aizawa, lounging on one of the comfortable couches with his usual tired demeanor, rolled his eyes. "Do we really have to make a big deal out of this?" he muttered, trying to maintain his aloof front, though the side of his mouth twitched slightly upward at the corners.

Y/N, a new teacher at U.A. with a passion for nurturing young heroes, looked up from her mug of coffee, clearly baffled. She was a little naive to the playful banter and inside jokes of the staff and found herself lost in the conversation. "What's NNN?" she asked, a hint of curiosity mixed with confusion in her tone.

Midnight's smirk widened as she stepped closer. "Oh, sweet Y/N, it's a little challenge where you try to abstain from, well, you know… for the entire month! It's a test of willpower," she explained, her voice almost conspiratorial.

Y/N felt a blush creep up her cheeks at the implication, but the thrill of the challenge piqued her interest. The other teachers exchanged glances, and in a wave of camaraderie, they agreed to join in for fun, even encouraging Endeavor and All Might to participate. Aizawa merely sighed, but deep down, he felt a twinge of protective instincts flicker as he watched Y/N blush.

As the days passed, the atmosphere at U.A. shifted. There were jesting bets and lighthearted teasing among the staff, making lessons more enjoyable for the students. However, not everything remained serene. By the end of the week, a demonstration in Class 1-A went awry when one of the new students—an energetic boy named Kenta—accidentally unleashed his quirk. Kenta's quirk, a peculiar combination of charm and allure, unintentionally sparked a massive wave of romantic longing among those in close proximity.

Aizawa, minding his own business at the front of the classroom, suddenly felt the effect of the quirk wash over him. His stoic demeanor cracked as he turned his gaze towards Y/N, who was in deep conversation with Midoriya about hero strategies. The allure of the quirk pulled him toward her, amplifying his usually controlled impulses.

"Y/N…" he murmured mindlessly, stepping closer, his normally careful barriers crumbling under the weight of Kenta's unintended magic.

Y/N, initially bewildered, felt her heart race as Aizawa's focus narrowed solely on her. "Uh, Shouta? Are you okay?" She wasn't entirely sure what to make of the tangled emotions swirling in the room, nor his intent gaze that felt too intense.

But Aizawa, lost in the haze of the quirk's influence, did something entirely uncharacteristic. He leaned in, closing the space between them, and pressed his lips against hers. The kiss caught Y/N by surprise, igniting her initial confusion into a flurry of warmth and stunned reaction.

In a split second elbow instinct, Y/N nudged him lightly, and somehow that motion snapped Aizawa back to his senses. The effect of the quirk dissipated, leaving him standing there, frozen, as the full reality of what had just transpired crashed down on both of them.

"W-What was that?" Aizawa stammered, his face flushed. He never stuttered. Not even when he was annoyed.

Y/N blinked, processing everything as her cheeks burned. "I… I'm not sure I know," she replied shyly, stealing a glance at the other teachers, whose eyes were wide with both surprise and amusement.

Classes resumed, but a new tension simmered between the two teachers. As the days of November wore on, their interactions hinted at something unspoken, and by the end of the month, Y/N and Aizawa found themselves grappling not only with their respective challenges but also with the palpable chemistry that had blossomed between them in that unexpected moment.

As the NNN challenge came to a close, what had started as a lighthearted bet transformed into a deeper connection, bridging the gap of awkwardness, speculation, and their heartfelt professionalism. And while neither of them dared to speak of the kiss, both knew they would remember it forever—a new beginning hidden amid chaos, laughter, and an inexplicable bond that none of the students could ever comprehend.
