Chapter 38 - Class 1 A

As the sun spilled golden light across U.A. High School on the first of November, the halls buzzed with excitement and a hint of nostalgia. Class 1-A had just finished clearing away the remnants of Halloween—cobwebs, plastic skeletons, and piles of candy wrappers—and were now adorned with autumn leaves and pumpkins strategically placed in the corners of their classroom.

Mina Ashido burst through the door, her vibrant pink hair bouncing with every step. "Guys, guess what! It's NNN!" she announced, a wide grin plastered across her face.

Kaminari's eyes narrowed, and Mineta groaned dramatically. "Not No Nut November!" he moaned.

Some of the girls giggled while a few others shared Mineta's pained expression, dreading the month ahead. However, the excitement in the room was palpable as Class 1-A decided together that if they were going to face the challenge, they would do it as a team. Everyone paired up for accountability: Bakugo grudgingly teamed up with Kirishima; Todoroki bore an expression of stoic determination alongside Deku; and Kaminari found a surprising ally in Shinso and the others chose their partners.

The first week sailed by smoothly. They encouraged each other through the trials of temptation—ensuring their resolve was strong and their determination unwavering. Days morphed into a rhythm filled with the camaraderie of shared snacks during lunch, motivational talks in the library, and relentless practice of their quirks.

But by the second week, fatigue began to set in. The class rooms, filled with laughter and banter from all the other classes, served as a threat to their focus. There were whispers of plans for a secret party, and Mina insisted that they could stop for just one bite of sweets to fuel their energy—an idea both irresistibly tempting and completely against the rules.

"C'mon guys! Just one piece won't hurt!" she pleaded, her sweet tooth almost overpowering her resolve.

"No!" Bakugo barked, flames flickering in his eyes. "We said we'd do it, didn't we? Just because it's hard doesn't mean we can quit! Right, Shitty hair!?"

"Right!" Kirishima chimed in, his boisterous energy keeping them motivated.

But despite their fiery spirits, practice sessions turned into stumbling blocks. Their training included combat exercises that required close-quarters movements, leading to accidental brushes and flustered reactions. The sight of Midoriya blushing furiously after a near miss with Todoroki sent shockwaves of collective awkwardness through the group as they grappled with their emotions alongside their quirk training.

As they trudged into the third week, the initial excitement waned. Temptation surged; it felt as if everyone teetered on the brink of giving up. Panic flickered in the eyes of many, including Kaminari and Shinso.

"Dude, I don't think I can do it," Kaminari admitted one afternoon as he flopped onto their shared table in the cafeteria.

"Come on, kaminari. Don't be a baby, We committed to this. Just stick it out another week." Shinso encouraged, his voice steady, despite the temptation that weighed on them both.

In moments of vulnerability, their partnerships became indispensable. Encouragement shifted from mere chatter to genuine support; they rallied together and pushed each other on, innovating new ways to tackle the month—as tactical partners, not just classmates.

As they ventured into the final stretch of November, solidarity sparked ferociously among Class 1-A. Group workouts became a source of inspiration, and their weekends were filled with team activities that left them exhausted but proud of what they had accomplished together.

By the time the last day of the challenge arrived, resolve had transformed into resilience. The class gathered in their revamped room, laughter echoing off the walls, each share reflecting a personal story of triumph. Mina, of course, had some candy left over from their collective efforts—the ultimate prize for surviving NNN together.

"Alright!" she called, holding the treasure aloft. "Now, we indulge!"

Bakugo crossed his arms, smirking. "Told you it was no big deal. We're heroes; we can handle anything."

Class 1-A cheered, their spirits as colorful as the autumn leaves surrounding them, knowing they had not only conquered the challenge but had forged unbreakable bonds along the way. In that moment, they understood that strength comes not only from their quirks, but from each other.
