Chapter 1 - Halloween Movie Day 1 (part 1)

It was a thrilling afternoon at U.A. High School, particularly in Class 1-A, as they prepared for their epic Halloween celebrations. The classroom was buzzing with energy.

Streamers in shades of orange and black cascaded from the ceiling, paper bats and ghosts clung to the walls, and a massive pumpkin sat proudly on a desk, grinning with a carved smile. The air was filled with the sound of Halloween music, a mix of spooky tunes and upbeat classics that got everyone into the spirit.

"Okay, we need to set up the projector next!" Momo said, directing her classmates as they worked to transform their homeroom into a makeshift movie theater.

"Can't wait for the popcorn!" Mina squealed, already donning a witch's hat that was slightly too big for her head. "And I brought gummy worms for snacks!"

"I got spooky cupcakes!" Jirou chimed in, holding up a box decorated with little spider toppings.

As the snack table came together, Deku adjusted the projector, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. "Are you sure Friday the 13th is the best first choice for our Halloween movie marathon?" he asked, his mind racing with the thrill of a horror film but also the dread of what was to come.

"I mean, come on! It's Halloween!" Kaminari said, balancing on the ball of his heel. "We gotta start with a classic!"

"Yeah, it'll be fine!" Sero added, his tone dripping with mischief. The two looked at each other, planning something of their own while everyone else focused on the movie setup.

Finally, they got everything ready, and the lights dimmed as they settled into their seats. The opening credits of Friday the 13th started, and a collective shiver of anticipation ran through Class 1-A.

As the plot unfolded, tension filled the room. Jump scares made the group jump from their seats, and nervous laughter soon turned into moments of silence as the horror escalated. It was during one particularly intense scene—a moment when one character was about to meet a grim fate—that Kaminari and Sero decided to put their plan into action.

"Now!" Sero whispered to Kaminari, who nodded with a barely contained grin. They crept up behind their unsuspecting classmates.

The jump scare came. The music crescendoed, and the screen flashed ominously. It was the perfect moment. Kaminari and Sero screamed at the top of their lungs, "Look out!"

Bakugo, who had been silently watching, erupted with a colorful barrage of curses that echoed in the classroom, "What the hell?!"

Deku, who had been inching closer to the edge of his seat as the suspense built, let out an involuntary scream, jumping back in pure shock. "K-Kaminari?! Sero?!"

Screams erupted from the rest of Class 1-A as they too were caught off guard, the sound bouncing off the walls as they leapt into the air. Jirou clutched Mina, who had instinctively pulled her blanket closer, and Todoroki blinked in confusion before shaking his head, clearly unimpressed yet somehow amused.

Kaminari and Sero doubled over with laughter, slapping their knees as they watched their classmates in a feigned panic. "Gotcha!" Kaminari wheezed between fits of laughter.

"Totally worth it!" Sero added, his eyes gleaming with mischief.

As everyone calmed down, laughter slowly replaced the initial screams, and they settled back into their seats, all buzzing with extra energy. "Alright, alright, let's keep watching—just try not to scare us again!" Kirishima said, grinning as he brushed off the adrenaline.

The film continued, but this time, there was a new layer of camaraderie in the room. It wasn't just about the horror on screen; it was about sharing the thrills and chills with friends. Even Bakugo had a small smirk on his face as he rolled his eyes; he couldn't stay mad when everyone was having so much fun.

The first day of their Halloween movie marathon was undeniably a success, and with plenty more horror to come in the days ahead, Class 1-A eagerly awaited what other frights would grab them next—both on screen and off. As the credits rolled, the promise of 30 more days of movie madness hung in the air, leaving them all excited for what was to come.
