Chapter 6 - Chapter 6:The Quest for the Coral Serpent: Part 2.

As he made his way through the thick underbrush, shadows seemed to shift around him, and Su Bai felt like he was on the verge of discovering something far greater than simply collecting Snake Gallbladde.

For Su Bai, this piece of armor can only be used for defense and a little more physique.

Well~

That's better than nothing.

Su Bai added a lot of attributes to his equipment.

Life and defense are finally higher, so this is even more appropriate!

Su Bai was full of confidence and went out into the wild.

 ——

It wasn't long before Su Bai arrived at the coral snake area again.

Start spawning monsters!

He took out a silver ring snake and struck hard.

-235

Although the damage mechanism wasn't activated, the damage was 235.

The weapon is terrifying!

If Su Bai had been holding an ordinary or lower-level sword, the damage wouldn't have exceeded 50 points.

-184

-186

-191

-193

After several hits, another Silver Ringed Snake fell under Su Bai's attack, granting him 40 experience points.

Picking up the snake's gallbladder and some copper coins, Su Bai continued on.

...

Thanks to the Heavenly Cloud Sword's terrifying damage, Su Bai's process of spawning monsters was easy and enjoyable.

In about a minute, he was able to take out a Coral Snake.

After killing more than twenty Silver Ringed Snakes, Su Bai leveled up again.

LV4

With 5 free attribute points, Su Bai continued to increase his strength.

After adding up the points, he continued on!

The Coral Snake is LV3, and Su Bai is now LV4.

By surpassing the Coral Snake's level, Su Bai has a level advantage over it.

Damage has a bonus and the Heavenly Cloud Sword has also leveled up!

Su Bai's physical attack exceeded 250, and everything was even easier!

However, the income dropped drastically.

First, the copper coins dropped by a third less.

Then, the experience gained from killing was halved, gaining only 20 experience points.

Killing one will not increase Su Bai's experience bar by 2%...

But there's nothing to do, there's a quest.

The meeting is a pity.

...

Almost an hour passed.

Su Bai's body was shining with golden light and he leveled up.

LV5

5 free attribute points and additional strength as always.

At the same time, the Heavenly Cloud Sword also rose to LV5 and its attributes increased greatly.

Strength +34, physical attack +105.

With various blessings, Su Bai's power attribute exceeded 70 points!

Added to the level advantage...

-378

This is the damage of his normal attack.

A coral snake with 800 health will die in three hits.

-758 Weak Crit!

If there is a weak crit, the second sword will kill it!

-1702 Fatal Crit!

If a fatal crit is triggered, it will be a fatal hit!

The speed of monster spawning is several times faster.

The experience gained...

Even less, only 5 experience points.

Copper coins only appeared two or three, sometimes they didn't even appear.

...

After more than ten minutes, Su Bai stopped.

He had just picked up a silver ringed snake gallbladder.

"100 coral snakes completed, but the question is, where can I find elite coral snakes?"

Su Bai put the ringed snake gallbladder into his backpack and scratched his head. He was still missing an Elite Coral Snake Gallbladder.

The surrounding coral snakes were almost all eliminated by Su Bai, and he had already gone deep into this jungle.

However, he had not found any Elite Coral Snakes.

"Well, I'll take a closer look and see if I can find any," Su Bai thought, walking deeper into the forest.

As Su Bai walked deeper into the dense forest, a palpable tension filled the air. He knew he was approaching an area known to harbor dangerous creatures.

As he walked, Su Bai heard a rustling sound and felt a gust of foul wind blow past him.

"Puff~~" Without a second thought, Su Bai rolled on the spot and dodged.

The atmosphere in the dense forest grew tense as Su Bai came face to face with the Mutated Coral Snake, a LV5 elite monster that stared at him with cold, triangular eyes, ready to strike. The snake, approximately three to four meters long, quickly slithered across the leaf-covered ground, leaving a trail of demonic energy in its wake.

Aware of his surroundings and eager to prepare himself properly, he decided to use his Scout skill.

Upon seeing the template, Su Bai felt a chill. "4200 HP... This is not an easy fight." Despite the alarming information, his determination remained strong. "I have to be strategic. I need to use everything I have to win."

With his plan in mind, Su Bai prepared for battle. The snake, noticing his movements, let out a threatening hiss and lunged at him with astonishing speed.

Su Bai dodged the snake's bite just in time and executed a diagonal slash with his Celestial CloudSword. The blade glimmered as it sank into the snake's flesh, but his attack failed; the snake had anticipated his move and slithered to the side.

"I can't underestimate its speed!" thought Su Bai, feeling adrenaline begin to flood his body. The snake countered, swinging its tail forcefully at Su Bai. The blow impacted his torso, inflicting -80 HP, dropping him from 800 to 720 HP. Su Bai screamed in pain, but his mind remained clear.

With renewed determination, Su Bai seized the momentum. "I'm going to need a plan!" he thought as he retreated from the snake. In a moment of clarity, he remembered that he had purchased an antidote before entering the battle. However, he knew he would have to confront the snake first.

But the snake was not going to give up easily. It made a quick move, unleashing its Poison Arrow ability. A couple of venom projectiles shot from its mouth, hitting Su Bai and causing -58 HP. The poison began to spread, and Su Bai felt an intense burning sensation, reducing his health to 682 HP. "I need to be quick, or this poison will exact a heavy toll on me," he told himself.

With his health at stake, Su Bai decided to use his Constant Strike ability. With this move, he prepared for a relentless attack. He increased his strength and speed, repeatedly striking with his Celestial CloudSword, hitting the snake over and over. Each blow dealt -50 HP to the snake, accumulating a total of -200 HP over several rapid attacks. The snake staggered, clearly affected by the barrage.

With the snake weakened, Su Bai decided to take a risk. Taking a deep breath, he lunged forward, trying to dodge the snake's attack. The snake, seeing Su Bai approaching, countered with its tail, impacting him again, but this time with less force: -50 HP, bringing him down to 632 HP.

Su Bai felt momentarily overwhelmed by the pain, but he didn't stop. In his mind, he repeated the mantra: "Fear is nothing but an illusion." With one last push, he raised the Celestial CloudSword above his head, channeling all his energy into a decisive strike. "It's now or never!" he shouted as he brought his sword down.

The blade sank into the snake's flesh, delivering a devastating blow: -300 HP. The mutated coral snake, with its health bar now empty, collapsed to the ground, trembling before becoming still.

Exhausted, Su Bai felt relief at his victory, but his relief was short-lived. The snake's poison was still coursing through his body.

Su Bai's health began to drop rapidly, from 632 to 600 HP. "No... it can't be..." he murmured, feeling the burning in his chest. "Why didn't I buy antidote potions? How could I underestimate such a dangerous creature?"

His heart raced as he counted the seconds. "If I don't find an antidote soon, this could be the end…" His health continued to plummet, 580 HP… 550 HP. With each passing second, he felt the reality of the game becoming more and more tangible.

"This is not just a simulation," he thought, lamenting his lack of preparation. "Dying in this game means losing everything I've achieved. I can't let it end like this!"

His health kept decreasing, now at 500 HP. "I've always been a bit careless, thinking the game was just entertainment. Now I know… I need to be more cautious, more strategic. I can't make the same mistake again."

Finally, just as he was about to lose hope, his gaze landed on the snake's corpse. There, a vial shimmered with a glowing green liquid—a rare antidote. "It can't be! It's an antidote!" he shouted, relief flooding his voice as he rushed toward the object.

[Snake Antidote]

Grade: Rare

Category: Consumable

Effect: Neutralizes poison, restoring 150 HP.

Note: This antidote is rare to find, but it is said that mutated coral snakes sometimes drop it. Luck has been on your side!

With trembling hands, Su Bai opened the vial and drank the antidote. Instantly, he felt the burning of the poison slowly fade away, and his health began to restore, rising to 650 HP. "Thank heavens!" he exclaimed, feeling a wave of relief wash over him.

"That was too close," he thought as he leaned against a tree, catching his breath. "After this, not only will I bring health potions, but I'll also bring antidote potions; I will definitely be more cautious. I can't afford to underestimate the reality of the game. Next time, I will always be prepared."
