"What now?" I asked Rex after uploading my music video on my YouTube account. The whole thing is a little anticlimactic as nothing happened after it was uploaded. If I'm being honest I was expecting some sort of fanfare after uploading my first video.

"Pretty much, Not sure what you expected, I can get you a cupcake if that makes you feel better," Ella commented in an amused tone snapping me out of my current train of thought.

Sighing after hearing her quip I quickly came back to reality knowing I would have to work hard if I wanted to be successful. One thing I know well in life is how to grind I've practically been doing it my entire life. This has more longevity since I'm less likely to end up spending life in prison. Dying young is a real possibility since according to Rex legends die young.

Seeing that there is nothing to be done other than wait for it to gain some traffic I decided to just take it easy. "I might as well work on more songs," I mumbled to my selves as I pulled up the music software called Sound. According to Rex and Ella, this is a more comprehensive version of Garageband costing a lot of money.

To me, it doesn't really matter since Rex is the one making our beats so ts good that he likes it. "I'll give you some space then, I will share your MV on my socials maybe that will help," Ella stated as she headed for the door probably looking to get back to her work which she had been putting off.

"Thanks," I absent-mindedly replied as I pulled out the keyboard at the side connecting it to the PC. Rex says we shouldn't put out the same style of the song as First Day Out. Apparently, the industry and fans will subconsciously associate us with that style making it difficult to be more versatile. That is one of the reasons we didn't start with drill music which is quite a niche genre.

"Before I forget you start school on Wednesday," Ella suddenly stated quickly snapping out all thoughts of music. I don't mind the idea of school, go knowledge and all that BS.

Just the Idea of going back to school is something I hadn't planned on doing after leaving Juvie. Don't get me wrong I'm not a bad student at all as I managed to get above-average grades when I attended. I just haven't been to school for a while after Alex got shot. He was the whole reason I started trying in school since kids would try to pick on him when I wasn't there.

According to him being dumb ain't cool no matter how hard the popular kids make it out to be. He was right as Just thinking of the stupefied look on my teachers when I got my first B on a test brings a smile to my face. The expression your teachers give you once you outperform their expectations is hilarious. They start looking at you as if you are a vegetarian lion and walk on eggshells around you until they make sense of it.

"Do I have to, it's just senior year," I asked her not really seeing the need to spend another year in a classroom when I could just pursue music full-time.

"I checked your school records and you have good grades so you might as well see it to the end." She retorted in a matter of fact leaving no room for me to complain or change her mind. Seeing that I couldn't change the situation I just turned around and focused back on the screen.

Pulling out my busted-up iPhone 4 I logged into my Instagram which has been inactive for the past year or so. Quickly going through the process of changing my Username to Drako I deleted all my past posts under Rex's urging. Apparently, pictures of me and some guys flashing a Smith & Wesson and a Glock 40 are considered bad publicity.

Here I thought all publicity was good, but apparently not if I want to get sponsors. For now, I don't really care about sponsors but it's better to be safe rather than regret it later. After wiping my page clean I quickly posted a snippet of the music video with the link attached to my story.

Although I only have about a hundred followers it's better than just waiting for word of mouth to spread. Doing the same for my Snap and Twitter I turned my phone off ready to focus on work. Letting Rex assume control he got to work creating beats. We had decided to just let him create a bunch of beats and worry about turning them into songs later.

"(Yawn) How did I end up in bed," I mumbled to myself as I sat up on the bed pushing the blanket off me. I was still wearing my clothes which explains why I'm so warm.

{We passed out around 1 am, One moment I was syncing the bass with the beat then a wave of fatigue hit and you fell asleep.} Rex promptly explained helping me piece together why I feel like I've just woken up from a much-needed rest.

"That doesn't explain how I went from the basement to the second floor?" I questioned since I don't have the habit of walking in my sleep. Then again they do say people who have spent time in prison are crazy. Although Juvie is not quite the same as prison it's the equivalent of high school if prison was college.

{About that Ella found you and dragged you up the stairs, that woman is stronger than she looks,} he answered me sounding genuinely impressed by her strength. Not knowing how to react to this information I brushed it aside deciding to get on with my morning routine.

Once I was done brushing my teeth and applying wax on my locs I quickly changed into swim shorts. I've never been swimming but since there is a pool out there I might as well give it a try. Grabbing a change of clothes and my phone I wasted no time heading outside.

The house was empty again as Ella seemed to have headed to work which made sense since it was already noon. Heading for the backyard in the the pair of Crocs I got yesterday I settled my thing on one of the two sun chairs. I didn't jump into the water, choosing to head to the outdoor gym and get a workout done.

Not having worked out for the past two days, my body is twitching to release some stress. Since I've been busy with music stuff from the moment I got out. Throwing my top to the side revealing my shredded upper body with a crisp six-pack I got to work. The benefit of prison life is that you get to work out whenever you want.

Starting with a dynamic workout to build up my stamina I started with a light workout. Since I didn't do much running in juvie I need to do some work on my stamina, especially my breathing. Working on my vocal range and strength is gonna be best for me in the long run.

Around forty-five minutes later I finished my callisthenics workout drenched in my sweat. Taking a second to catch my breath I promptly headed for the outdoor showers. Although I would get cleaned up the moment I jumped into the pool going in sweaty just feels wrong.

Feeling the cold water falling on me from above an instant feeling of relief washed over me. The cool sensation of my roasting body cooling down is something I can addicted to. Quickly cleaning myself off I entered the pool taking it easy just in case it's too deep.

Luckily it's not deep only reaching just above my neck at the deep end allowing me to walk. Trying my hand at swimming didn't turn out so well as I flailed about like a boiled chicken. Instead of helping me, Rex was having the time of his life at my misery.
