After having her bath, she had her dinner in her room, she felt satisfied and comfortable. And finally had a chance to look through her newly acquired space bag.
Sitting on the bed, she poured out everything from the bag. Daggers, a black whip, a bulging pouch and glass filled with substance she knows nothing about.
She rummaged through the bag and from her mind's eyes only the spider's corpse remained. She blinked in disbelief, 'I thought thieves were supposed to be rich. Poor fellows.'
Her gaze darted to the few things on the ground and picked up the pouch. Opening the zipper, golden lights shone on her face. A giggle left her lips, as she stared at the pouch filled with gold coins.
The clanging sound of coins filled the room as she counted the coins, she found a total of five thousand gold coins. ''haha… I'm rich.'' She screamed, rolling all over the bed in elation, her heart beating fast with giggles leaving her lips.
She sat up, her hair falling over her face as she counted the coins again. 'What to buy...hmm… meat! then meat.' These were the only thoughts in her mind, forgetting dungeon equipment, vitamins, and other important things.
Later when she subtracted everything, she knew this money couldn't last a month. What a devastating discovery.
Now, Eva was filled with joy, zipping the pouch carefully and placing it into her space bag with gentle movements like she was handling an egg. A yawn left her lips, exhaustion finally catching up to her, she blinked and packed the remaining things back before lying on the bed.
As soon as her head touched the pillow she drifted into sleep. After a while the mansion grew quiet, lights turned off.
But in Eva's room. The black teardrop tattoo thumped like it was alive, it slithered along her veins, and Eva felt nothing as she slept.
It moved towards her heart, going to her power sources, a green crystal beside her heart. This crystal is where the power is stored to be harnessed by the power human.
The tattoo moved closer, wisps of green light left the crystal into the black tattoo. Its colour became darker and bigger before dividing into two.
Eva frowned in her sleep feeling uncomfortable but she didn't wake up. After taking the enough energy it needed, it left. One heading back to her finger, the other stopping on her back.
They blended perfectly into her body. Eva turned in her sleep, finding a comfortable position, unaware that her powers were drained.

The next day, the morning sun was turned on, and people woke up. Eva stirred, her eyes opening slowly. ''mm…'' she moaned in pain as she wanted to turn over. It felt like a heavy weight was pressing on her, she frowned and tried to turn slowly.
''Ow! Damn it!'' she cursed into the pillow, her body ached. 'What's going on, is this body defective?' she shook that thought knowing she had woken up yesterday with no issues, then she remembered the battle she had with those dungeon monsters.
She then dismissed it as just the aftereffects of battle, not knowing it was a feeling of power exhaustion.
She gritted her teeth, rolling slowly to the edge. Slowly she placed her hands on the floor and crawled out of the bed, with yelps of pain leaving her lips.
But seeing the distance to the bathroom door she nearly cried in frustration, it felt like being a newly turned Zombie, at least then, she didn't feel any pain.
She puffed out her hair away from her face and stared blankly at the ceiling, contemplating life. She wished at this moment she had the powers to fly.
'But wait! Don't I have powers?!' she took a deep breath, and slowly sucked the energy in the air, her hair glowed as a wisp of energy floated into her body, nourishing her. Sigh… a comfortable sigh left her lips and she sat up, feeling energized.
Then flashbacks of her unnecessary painful action of getting out of bed appeared in her mind, she facepalmed and wanted to go back in time and slap her past self for putting her through pain for nothing. She shook away her thought, grateful no one was here to witness her shameful moment.
In the study Julian was sprawled against the chair with Ethan going through the list of monsters the scientist asked them to kill. ''what do you think she's doing now?'' Julian asked abruptly, Ethan looked up from the file and glanced at him before going back to what he was doing.
''There's no point looking through the list, it's not in our hands to choose what we encounter in the dungeon,'' Julian muttered, straightening up in his seat. He was feeling bored already, fighting the dungeon beast was more interesting.
Ethan dropped the file and rubbed between his brows, ''Did you forget we now have a new teammate?'' Ethan asked in a tired tone. Realization dawned on Julian, they had to find the lowest of SSS-ranked monsters since she was only a level four powerhouse.
They could protect her fine enough, but not from the poison air that emits from them. Both of them are immune to the monster's poison due to their level. ''Then we don't go into the SSS ranked monsters floor,'' Julian suggested after much thought, they could only hope she improves her powers quickly.
''That's easier said than done. Remember to stock up on antidote potions.'' Ethan said as he got up from his seat. One can't follow their trust of knowing the dungeon floors, it can change time or high-ranked monsters would have been spawned.
Julian ran his hands under his breath and knew his earlier words were giving him false hope, he picked up his phone and texted one of his potion suppliers. She can only cope with these potions for a while.
Eva got down the stairs, she saw new faces she hadn't seen yesterday. They seem to be day staff. They looked over curiously but turned away, facing Blaine who gave them seeds to plant.
''The other acres of crops are due harvesting. These seeds should be planted with great care, they are herbs so don't damage them.'' Blaine warned in a stern tone as he stared at the wood power users.
''Any damage, half of your salary and crops distribution, gone.'' He stated and gave the head of the group the seed pouch. This seed was a drop item of an SS-ranked monster and warrants care when handling it since it was hard to kill.
Sending them off, he turned to see Eva sitting in the dining area, blinking her eyes innocently at him. His lips twitched knowing she wanted to be served breakfast.
He wondered what was special about the woman who made his masters form a team of three. The other aristocratic family that wants their children to form a team with Julian and Ethan would be pissed.
