Marcus was so shocked by Julian's words that he forgot his fearful reaction to his wife finding out he snuck into the dungeon. He looked over to Ethan who nodded. Marcus looked out the window and saw it was morning light, so he was not dreaming.
''Old man, what's with your reaction? Is it so impossible for us to have a teammate?'' Julian said taping the counter to snap Marcus out of his exaggerated expression.
''Child, blink, if his forcing you to tell lies.'' Marcus looked over to the petite girl and spoke softly. Eva was speechless by his words and could only say, ''I'm not forced,'' the older man glanced at her, half believing her words before looking over to Ethan and Julian, who looked at him with a flat expression; and Julian's threat clicked in his mind.
