Daniel didn't twice before responding in agreement.
He didn't understand it fully. But from everything he had seen this week, he came to know Kelsie and Jett didn't know each other.
But for some reason, they had children together. It was too confusing.
He didn't care about their backstory or how the triplets came to be born. He only cared about getting the man and woman together so he could visit the triplets whenever he wanted.
He was so scared of Kelsie beating him up that he didn't dare to go see them whenever she was around.
And he was missing them every minute they were away from him.
He was about to head into the room again when a call came into the phone.
He glanced down at it and immediately hung up when he saw it was his school calling.
He blocked their number and slipped the phone into his pocket before proceeding to walk back into the room.
When Jett saw him again, he frowned slightly.
Daniel awkwardly slipped a hand into his pockets and felt the bridge of his nose with the other as he cleared his throat noisily.
"I was thinking of strolling around the city today. It's been long I went anywhere and I'm beginning to forget what they look like."
"In fact, I fear I'd lose my way if I go alone. So why don't you come with me? This way, we can strengthen our bond as brothers?"
Jett scoffed lightly and was about to refuse when Daniel suddenly ran out of the room, shouting the words, "I know you don't have anything on your schedule today! Say no to me and I'll report you to grandmother for maltreating me!"
Left with no choice, Jett prepared and left the apartment with him.
As they got into the elevator and headed down, Kelsie was on her way up to her apartment.
The triplets made an attempt to dress themselves, but no matter how smart they were, they were still children and couldn't do everything by themself.
She helped them dress properly before they left their apartment.
Keira had created a group chat where she added her brothers and Daniel. And the name of the group chat was something Jesse found ridiculous.
"Didn't you say we were going on a stroll? Why do we have to stand here when we should've left the compound and gone far by now?" Outside, Jett asked in confusion after standing in the parking lot for over five minutes.
When he saw Daniel checking his phone all the time, he closed the distance between them and tried to see what he was doing, but the man instantly distanced himself from him and rasped nervously.
"Hey, how could you peep into my phone? Does privacy mean nothing to you? Hmph!"
Jett was taken aback wondering why his little brother was suddenly yelling at him.
"Hey, don't forget I'm doing you a great favor by…" He trailed off in disbelief when Daniel hurriedly looked away from him to stare down at his phone.
Finally, a message came in from 'Getting Us A Daddy!' group chat.
Zade had sent a message telling him they would be starting their stroll from the street behind them since it directly led to an amusement park.
To make it look like a coincidence, Daniel was to come with Jett a few minutes after they had gotten to the park so neither of their targets would grow suspicious of the other.
Daniel agreed and waited for several more minutes before getting into the car with an even more confused Jett.
"Isn't this supposed to be a stroll?"
"It is, I just remembered you're a busy man and can be called anytime by your business partner." Daniel answered naturally, lying through his teeth.
He made Eric drive slowly in two streets asking him to take them to the amusement park.
Meanwhile, the family of four walked for several minutes.
The route to the amusement park wasn't far. On foot, it would take 7 minutes, but going at the pace they were moving, it was bound to take longer.
When they walked into a street, Kelsie turned to her children and cooed softly, "If you're tired, tell me and I'll call a cab."
"Mommy, why don't you buy a car?" Keira held Kelsie's hand and asked curiously.
The question has just rolled off her tongue when Zade huffed slightly, "What are you talking about? A car is an unnecessary expense."
Kelsie turned to him, her brown knitted together in slight confusion.
"Unnecessary expense? How's that?"
Zade went on to explain, "She'll have to pay a lot of fee. And besides, why do you suddenly want to get into a car? This is a stroll, you shouldn't be thinking of being given a rider."
Jesse, who had been silent the whole time, hummed and chimed in, "If you were going to get tired so quickly, why then did you agree to come stroll?"
Keira couldn't help feeling offended seeing as both her brothers ganged up on her.
She lowered her eyes to the ground and grumbled audibly, "You both keep talking to me like I'm a total idiot. I know this is a stroll. It's just mommy's legs are so long and pretty, she shouldn't be dirtying it in this ground. Sighs."
As she spoke, she reached out to pat it gently.
Kelsie smiled at this action and patted her head gently, then parted her lips to say something.
Zade saw this and thinking she was about to agree to Keira's request, spoke up quickly.
"I ageee. Mommy deserves the most expensive car in the world! If I had my way, I wouldn't let her walk on the ground."
Once again, Jesse nodded in agreement.
"I agree. I'll buy her a private jet in the future."
A mischievous glint flashed past Zade's eyes as he suddenly stopped walking and grabbed Kelsie's leg, abruptly bringing her to a halt.
"Zade, what is it?" She asked, glancing at him in confusion.
The little boy clung to her tightly and batted his lashes charmingly as he asked, "Mommy, before Jesse and I become adults and get you cars and private jets, don't you think you deserve to be carried in bridal style by our daddy who has a broad back and sturdy arms?"
