Shadows of Truth
The betrayal by Kyle weighed heavily on the pack. Though the traitor had been captured and the rogues temporarily repelled, the fractures in trust and unity lingered. Alpha Eric knew they needed to strengthen their defenses, but before that, he had to repair the spirit of the pack.
In the dim light of the council chamber, Eric gathered his inner circle: his Beta, Daniel; his mate, Ella; and a few senior warriors. The air was tense, heavy with unspoken fears.
A Divided Pack
Daniel spoke first. "Alpha, the pack is restless. Some are questioning our ability to protect them. The betrayal has sown doubt."
Eric's jaw tightened. "That's exactly what the rogues want. If we let doubt fester, we're playing into their hands."
Ella interjected, her voice calm yet resolute. "We need to restore their trust. Transparency will help. Let them know we're investigating thoroughly. Show them that we're prepared for any future attacks."
