Inside the Oscorp headquarters, in a certain studio. 

Ye Hai sat upright in his chair, looking ahead at the table where the interviewer was seated. The interviewer was a middle-aged man with a stern expression, wearing a lab coat. Notably, his right arm was missing. 

This man was Dr. Curt Connors, the Lizard from Spider-Man. Today was Ye Hai's final interview, and if he could impress Dr. Connors, he would become Dr. Connors's assistant at Oscorp. 

About a month ago, Ye Hai had crossed over into this Marvel universe, becoming a graduate in Biological Sciences from Harvard University. The young man he had become was a twenty-year-old Chinese named Ye Hai, whose appearance bore some resemblance to his original self. This resemblance made him believe that his crossing over was no coincidence; some powerful entity must have orchestrated this incredible journey into another world for him. 

"Are you Ye Hai?" Dr. Connors asked, holding up Ye Hai's resume. "A top student from Harvard University's Life Sciences program… I've read through your materials and some of your papers. You have some interesting ideas about gene fusion, which is why you're here for an interview with me." 

"Thank you, Dr. Connors, for your appreciation. I've read many of your papers and books, and I'm very interested in your ideas about integrating animal genes into the human body," Ye Hai replied with a slight smile, trying to appear polite and natural. "Although humans possess intelligent minds, we are physically lacking. If we could extract and fuse the special traits of animal genes into humans, it would bring about a transformation, making humanity more perfect. Of course, it could also solve many of humanity's regrets, such as… your own, Dr. Connors…" 

Ye Hai's gaze settled on Dr. Connors's right arm. 

Dr. Connors didn't mind Ye Hai's focus on his disability; instead, an interested expression appeared on his face. "Oh? What animal's genes do you think would be suitable for repairing my arm?" 

"How about a lizard?" Ye Hai answered without hesitation. 

Dr. Connors was taken aback for a moment. This idea coincided with his own conclusions, reached through complex calculations and experiments, which he had only recently concluded. There was no way this young man could have stolen that information from the inside. Thus, the only possibility left was that this young man had a deep understanding of animal genes and possessed a clever, agile mind. 

With this thought, Dr. Connors was already quite fond of this young man before him. Having passed many hurdles to get to this interview, Ye Hai's professional knowledge was certainly not in question. What Dr. Connors was looking for was whether the interviewee had genius ideas, and Ye Hai's mention of the lizard indicated that his mind was indeed flexible enough. 

Next, Dr. Connors posed several experimental questions that were not very technical, aimed at testing the candidate's creativity and insight. 

Fortunately, the body that Ye Hai was now inhabiting had indeed been an academic achiever. Combined with Ye Hai's own intelligence, he passed Dr. Connors's scrutiny one by one. 

Finally, Dr. Connors stood up, extended his remaining left hand, and said, "Congratulations, young man! I have high hopes for you, and you have been accepted!" 

"Ding! The host has received recognition from a renowned scientist and has entered Oscorp Industries, passing the system's test. The Great Scientist System is now officially activated…" 

"Is this a cheat?" Ye Hai couldn't hide his joy. "So I also have a cheat, and it's the Great Scientist System? That sounds related to my profession." 

Dr. Connors smiled and said, "Alright, Ye, I know you're very happy, but I still have a few more people to interview. You can go report to the HR department now!" 

Snapping back to reality, Ye Hai nodded with a smile. "Thank you, Dr. Connors. I'll take my leave now. Goodbye!" 

"Goodbye, Ye! I hope we can have a pleasant collaboration!" Dr. Connors waved his hand and sat back down. 

After leaving the interview room, Ye Hai walked into the hallway, at which point he heard the system's voice again. 

"Ding! The Great Scientist System has been fully activated. Hello, host. The system is here to serve you sincerely!" 

"System, did you bring me to this Marvel world?" Ye Hai asked cautiously. "What are you?" 

"The host has been selected by this system to become a time-space immigrant. As for what this system is, the host's current level is too low, and your permissions are insufficient!" 

The system's voice was clear and pleasant, yet it sounded mechanical and cold, suggesting it was an intelligent entity with high intelligence. 

"Then what do you want me to do in this world?" Ye Hai asked anxiously. 

"The host needs to complete tasks to become a powerful scientist."

As Ye Hai continued his conversation with the system, he walked down the hallway and took the elevator downstairs to enter the HR department of Oscorp, completing some formalities. The HR manager informed him that he would start working in two days.
