Chapter 54 - Aftermath

The protagonist stood victorious, his chest heaving with exhaustion. He had defeated the Goblin mage, and the remaining goblins had fled in terror. The village was finally safe.

The protagonist breathed a sigh of relief and started to make his way towards the center of the cage. As he entered the cage, he found the person he was looking for - Thorne. But to his surprise, he also found three other people who were also missing. They were all huddled together, looking relieved to see the protagonist.

The protagonist's heart swelled with relief as he saw Thorne safe and sound. He rushed over to him and clapped him on the back. "I'm so glad I found you," he said, tears of joy welling up in his eyes.

Thorne smiled weakly and nodded. "I was so scared," he said. "I thought I was going to die."

The protagonist held out a hand to help Thorne up. "You're safe now," he said. "I've got you."

As they stood up, the other three people approached them. They introduced themselves as villagers who had also been kidnapped by the goblins. The protagonist was relieved to have found them all safe and sound.

With the villagers reunited, they started to make their way towards the village of Oakwood. As they journeyed, the system notified the protagonist that his talent had copied the skill of the Goblin mage. The skill was called Energy Bolt, and the host could acquire it by spending 80 MP.

The protagonist's eyes lit up with excitement. He had always wanted a ranged attack skill, and Energy Bolt seemed like the perfect fit. He decided to acquire the skill, spending 80 MP to add it to his arsenal.

With his new skill in hand, the protagonist felt a sense of confidence and power. He was ready to take on whatever challenges lay ahead, knowing that he had the skills and abilities to overcome them.

As they approached the village of Oakwood, the protagonist couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and accomplishment. He had saved the day, and he had found the people he was looking for.
