The remaining wolves, startled by the sudden display of power, retreated momentarily. Kaito took advantage of the reprieve, charging forward with his sword. He struck down two wolves with swift, precise blows, and the remaining two fled into the forest, their tails between their legs.
The carriage driver, still shaken, stared at Kaito in awe. "By the gods, you're a true hero," he muttered, his voice trembling.
