Chapter 57 - New Quests and Departure

Kaito entered the chief's hut, feeling a sense of excitement and anticipation. The chief greeted him with a warm smile, and Kaito could see the village scouts standing behind him, their faces serious and determined.

"Ah, Kaito, I see you're ready to face the day," the chief said, his eyes shining with gratitude. "Our scouts have returned, and we have confirmed the location of the Goblin village. You have done a great service to our village, and we are forever in your debt."

The chief pulled out two parchments, adorned with the village's seal. "I have two things to give you, Kaito. First, this parchment is a record of your achievements. It details your bravery in killing the goblins and discovering the Goblin village. You can use this to prove your worth to the city guard and to any other village or town you may visit."

Kaito accepted the parchment, feeling a sense of pride and accomplishment. He looked down at the parchment, reading the words that described his actions in the forest.

The chief continued, "And second, this parchment is a request for further assistance. We have reason to believe that there are still many goblins remaining in the forest, and we need brave adventurers like yourself to help us eradicate them. We are asking you to continue your quest, to seek out and destroy the remaining goblin threats."

Kaito's eyes widened with excitement, eager to accept the challenge. He nodded, feeling a sense of determination and purpose. "I accept, Chief. I will continue to help your village and rid the forest of the goblin threat."

The chief smiled, his face creasing with age and wisdom. "I knew I could count on you, Kaito. You have proven yourself to be a brave and capable adventurer. May the road rise up to meet you, and may your journey be filled with success and glory."

With a final nod, Kaito turned and left the hut, the two parchments clutched in his hand. He made his way to the caravan, which was preparing to depart for the city. He climbed aboard, feeling a sense of excitement and anticipation. He was ready to face whatever lay ahead, knowing that he had the skills and the courage to make a real difference.

As the caravan departed the village, Kaito looked back, watching as the village disappeared into the distance. He felt a sense of gratitude and respect for the villagers, who had welcomed him with open arms and given him a sense of purpose. He knew that he would never forget his time in the village, and he was eager to see what the future held.
