Third Person POV
Kale found himself in a dark space filled with nothing but dimly glowing orbs. Faint noises erupted from each orb so it sounded like the entire space was filled with whispers and it irked Kale a whole lot.
"Hey voice! Get out here! Where did you bring me??" He yelled into the space irritation clear in his voice. A loud chuckle erupted seemingly coming from all parts of the room and Kale felt even more irked, "who do you think you're trying to intimidate? Do you think simply projecting your voice will make me fear you!" Kale once again yelled into the space stunning the voice with the incredulousness of his statement. Deciding to ignore the boy's cluelessness, The voice cleared it's throat.
[I am not simply the voice brat! I thought you'd have figured at least that much by now] the voice rang a slight note of annoyance in it's tone that made it sound whiny. "What? You expect me to believe I'm possessed by a spirit? Sorry but if you think I'll yield , you'd better think again! you're not getting my body" Kale yelled once again stunning the unsuspecting voice.
[How can a person be so fucking clueless and idiotic at the same time] it thought before once again deciding to ignore Kale's foolish comment. [I am not a ghost idiot] it snapped [my name is Taemoon, I am your past self] the voice quickly explained before Kale had the chance to think up another outrageous explanation for his situation. Fortunately for Taemoon, his statement actually shut Kale up and sent him into a state of melancholy as he deliberated what he had just heard in his mind.
"So you mean to tell me that I am a reincarnate of you?" He asked surprising Taemoon once more, this time with his directness and utter understanding of the his statement. [Yes, you are my reincarnate] he spoke his formless eyes trained on the younger looking version of him. [And not only are you my reincarnate, but you are a lucky reincarnate. My powers which you wield are not bound!] Taemoon cheered and Kale could visualize his non-existent body twirling in glee. He shuddered at the image and shook his head.
"Powers? What powers?" He questioned ignoring the chill he got from imagining Taemoon's body language. [Ugh, of course. I forgot you were dumb] Taemoon groaned rolling his non-existent eyes, "hey-!" [Place your palm on one of the orbs] his instruction sounded before Kale could complain about his insult. He was very much accurate so he didn't want the brat justifying himself.
Kale raised a brow his attention successfully deviated and Taemoon couldn't help snickering in his mind at how he was easily led away.
"What are they anyway?" Kale asked drawing Taemoon out of his thoughts. Taemoon made a sound that had Kale imagining him grinning and he shuddered once more. What chilled him to the bones wasn't how childish the images in his head looked but how the appearance of Taemoon in his head was exactly like his. Less handsome, but still like his.
[They're memories. Now if you don't want to have to imagine me dance LaLisa love me by Lisa choreography, you'd better put your palm on one of them orbs] Taemoon's voice, tinged with annoyance, rang and Kale quickly placed his hand on the orb nearest to him and coincidentally the most dimly lit orb before his mind could conjure up an image. The orb shone brighter until Kale's vision was completely blocked by a blinding light. He closed his eyes to reduce the sting and when he opened them back, he found himself standing in a room that screamed ancient.
The wooden walls were coated with lusterware so it had a red shiny look to it and the only sources of light were golden lamp holders placed on jade stools at every corner in the room. A wide canopy beg stood in the centre, it's peach coloured curtains trailing down to the equally shiny wood floor. A foldable wooden curtain stood on its left behind which a set of sliding double doors were while a set of mahogany seats and one cushion with a low table in the centre were arranged on the right.
Kale stood in front of the room's door directly opposite the bed blinking in slight disorientation.
'wait what the hell?! I'm in a fucking ancient setting room! Is this like all those transmigrating stuff and shit?'
The startled squeal of woman made him snap back to his senses. His body involuntarily jerked in the direction of the voice as he looked around swiftly.
A cute girl-ish looking lady with brown hair, wide amber eyes and rosy cheeks came into view, pale, small hands holding a book wide open over her face while her thin legs flailed kicking up the lower part of her grand garment. The huge bump on her stomach made it obvious that she was pregnant and Kale's brow raised in curiosity as to why the pregnant girl-woman was making a ruckus.
Not long after her squeal, in fact almost instantaneously, the doors Kale was standing in front of burst open passing right through him and in came a tall muscular man, the arms of his shirt rolled up to his elbows to reveal strong, scarred forearms that could break necks at once. Kale shuddered at the thought as he stepped out of the way for the man to pass despite already knowing the man could just walk right through him.
Despite the natural grumpy unapproachable features the man bore, a tiny hint of worry could be seen on his face as he rushed over to the still flailing woman.
"Pookie bear, what's wrong?" Sounded the concerned voice of the man. Kale barely suppressed his flinch at the contrast between the voice and face, as well as the very awkward pet name.
'pookie bear? Seriously? Couldn't come up with a better name?!' Kale thought feeling slightly disappointed with the man. The woman's response left him speechless though.
"Oh my lovely stud muffin, honey pie, snuggle muffin, I have decided a name for our son!" Answered the girl-woman as she sprang to her feet atop the cushion she was seated on without fear of falling. Said husband smiled slightly as he glanced at the book in her hand before watchinh hs wife with a loving gaze, "it seems you have finished reading your book" he commented and the girl-woman's eyes sparkled with excitement.
"Yes, yes. Kang Taemoon is really the best. No one stands a chance against him!" She yelled fist pumping the air and she jumped in glee while nodding rigorously, her husband's gaze was trained on her watching carefully so as to jump in when necessary. "Oh that's nice. So you want our son to be named Taemoon?" He inferred exciting the small woman once more and she fell into his arms with a huge sigh, "not just Taemoon, Kang! Tae! Moon! In honour of Kang Taemoon the cock warrior!" She corrected while hitting his shoulder with her chin. The man's smile grew even more affectionate as he held her close in his arms while snuggling his head into her hair. "Of course. Whatever you want pookie bear" he muttered.
Kale on the other hand, had zone out when he heard the woman mention Kang Taemoon.
'kang Taemoon, Kang Taemoon, Kang Taemoon, Kang Taemoon... So he's named after a lame manhwa MC I see' his thinking stopped and his mouth curved maniacally into a huge grin.
"Hey voice...."
[Tch, think whatever you want. As you can see, those are my parents, Lithora and Baal of the blood sucking clan, Kallagha and what you are going to see from here on out, just like this strip of memory, are major events that took place in my/your previous life] Teamoon spoke and Kale's grin widened. "What a marvelous joy ride"

"News on the kid?" Qadar inquired the moment Lewis walked into his office. It had already been a week since they moved to their head quarters and Kale was still showing no sign of waking up. The strange thing was that they had gotten him examined by both the gang and family doctors but nothing was seen wrong with him except for how his temperature kept declining. He was being kept in a heated room and occasionally taken to a sauna but Qadar knew they couldn't sustain his body for long that way.
Lewis' dead-fish-eyes expression gave way to nothing as he slowly shook his head, "however, we did find a letter mailed to his home" he informed as he walked up to Qadar's desk in response to the leader's beckon and placed the sealed brown envelope on the desk
"Thank you, continue to monitor the house for any visit or package. You can assign some of the reconnaissance team members to do that while you sign up more info on the Rodriguez though. Tell Kai to keep watch of the kid while you, Jerry, Milo and Noah investigate the others" Qadar instructed as he picked up the envelope turning it in his hand to observe it. Lewis balled his hands into fists at his sides his muscles growing tense. "By others do you mean-?"
"You know exactly who the fuck I'm talking about" Qadar snapped as he placed the envelope back down on the desk with a thump cutting him short. "Now please hurry, we haven't got time to waste Lewis" he added dragging Lewis' name as he squinted his eyes at him. Lewis sighed nodding slowly before turning to leave the office.
"Hey Lewis" Qadar called as the other was about to open the door. Lewis turned around and came face to face with Qadar's stern yet watchful gaze, the one gaze that he had seen years ago and which had made him follow the man. His slightly tense expression dropped and he sighed, "you're not alone this time. You've got us" Qadar's stern voice rang resolutely within the room oddly comforting Lewis. Lewis smiled.
"Thank you, boss"
