THIRD POV—
It was a sunny day with no sign of rain. We could see birds sitting and chirping on tree branches. On shifting our focus, we saw a mansion there. Outside the mansion's garden, there were gardeners tending to the garden; servants going in and out of the mansion, security guards and some other people doing their jobs.
Looking inside the mansion, a girl wearing a simple frock and hair done in pigtails sitting on a stool and examining herself in mirror. Her hair was auburn in colour. She had heterochromia, her left eye was crystal blue in colour and the other one was red. Sitting on that stool, she was muttering something to her while looking herself on the mirror. Her name was Eloise. She was currently getting ready to go to her new school.
ELOISE POV—
Wow, after looking myself on the mirror, I definitely want to compliment myself. I am too adorable, not to boost my own ego or something but I am too cute and no one would disagree with me.
'Eloise, stop admiring yourself on the mirror and get ready for school,' yelled mom.
Argh, why do I again have to go to school? *Tired sigh* I have completed my schooling in my past life and I am also a certified genius. I am a grown woman in a child's body. Like hell I want to deal with little brats in a school. But I can't say anything now, can I? Probably my parents would freak out, if I tell them about my reincarnation and then, I would be locked in an asylum like some kind of lunatic. So, no, nope, nada, not at all.
'ELOISE STARK!! GET READY AND COME OUT THIS INSTANT,' yelled mom. Oops, it seems from her voice that she is angry, very angry. I should probably get ready.
I put on my school uniform and go out of my room just to see dad standing outside my room.
His face lit up as soon as he sees me. He said in a scared voice, 'Eloise, you are ready. Good. Your mom is really angry and you do know her anger with first-hand experience, so let's go now.'
I nod my head and extend my arms for him to carry me. He takes me in his arms and starts climbing down the stairs. Over these years Howard and Amanda have grown on me and so does Jarvis and Peggy's family. I never thought I would come to love them as my family after all that yapping I had done before.
When we reached down the stairs, we see mom standing there and looking at us angrily.
She starts to walk toward us, only to stop walking when sees dad taking a few steps back.
Mom looked angrily at dad and yelled, 'WHY ARE YOU TAKING A FEW STEPS BACK HOWARD? AM I SOME KIND OF MONSTER? DO YOU THINK I WILL EAT YOU TWO OR SOMETHING?' and then she looks at me and said in a low voice, 'What were you doing up there to be so late? You know we have to go to our new school, right?' She paused and continued, 'You were looking yourself at the mirror again. Am I right?'
I find myself gulping and shaking my head to tell no. Then, she takes a deep breath and sighed.
She said, 'I don't know what to do with your father and daughter pair. Jeez!! You are both same.'
It looks like dad wants something to say but stops himself at the right moment. Yes dad, it's not the right time to speak.
'Come along you two, let's go,' said mom.
Both me and dad release a breath of relief and starts walking after her. We reach the entrance and get in the car.
Dad said, 'Driver, drive to Santa Monique— Malibu Unified School. Be quick, we have to reach there in ten minutes.'
'Yes sir,' replied the driver.
After, we reach there, we get out of the car and start and walking towards the entrance. After sometime I spot a woman in her mid-20's walking towards us. She has a huge smile on her face. She said, 'Welcome to the Santa Monique— Malibu Unified School, Mr and Mrs Stark and this little bun must be your daughter Eloise. My name is Alice Scott. Pleasure to meet you.'
Wait a second, does she just call me a bun? Do I look like a fucking bun to her? I pout and give a stink eye.
'It seems she doesn't like me that much,' said Alice, dejected. That's right I don't like you at all, you pea-sized brain lady.
'Our daughter is very shy; she gets flustered easily around strangers. You will behave well Eloise, won't you?' said mom with a hint warning in her voice. I frantically nodded my head to say that I understood.
Coming to my rescue, dad asked, 'Can you tell us where's the principal office? We would like to meet him total about the admission process.'
Alice replied, 'Yes, Mr Stark. You both can head over that building and ask the worker there to show you the principal office. Can I now take Eloise to her new classroom?'
Dad said, 'Thank you, Ms. Scott. Yeah, you can take Eloise to her new classroom.' Well, it looks like I have to go.
Alice said, 'Normally, children cry at the time of separation from there parents, when they go to school for the first time and besides that, she is only four years old. Are you sure you want to admit her in the first grade? Won't be it too difficult for her.'
'No, there is no problem at all. Our Eloise is very mature for her age. She won't have any trouble at keeping up with the older kids,' said mom.
'Fine, if you say so,' said Alice, sceptically.
That's right woman, I am very mature. I am a grown woman; I won't cry easily. Then, I turn and look at my parents.
Then, dad and mom crouch down to my level and hug me. To my dismay, I start crying. Both of my parents look at me in shock.
'What happened Ellie?! Don't cry we are not going anywhere. Just finish the classes and come back, you would find us right here,' said father in an attempt to calm me down.
Even mom looks surprised and shocked. She turned to Alice and said, 'This has never happened before. Normally, she doesn't cry that easily. I guess she thought we might leave her here and go.'
After saying this, she looked at me and softly said, 'Ellie, look at me. Listen to me, honey. We are not going anywhere, just finish the classes and come. Like your dad said, you would find us here.'
I sniffled and rubbed my nose and asked, 'Promise me you won't go.' I put out my Pinky finger for them to hold.
'We promise,' said both of them in unison holding my Pinky finger.
I calm down with some sniffling occasionally. I looked at Alice and said in a cold voice, 'Let's go.'
She laughed awkwardly and held out a finger for me to hold. I ignored and walked past her. She just followed me like a dejected puppy.
We walked together and reached at the entrance. It seems I am very dependent to my parents. To explain this would be a simple psychological concept and me being a child would also contributes to this concept's factor. But now coming to the most important matter. I stopped walking and jerked my head upwards to look at her. With as much coldness, my voice could muster, I said, 'Forget what you saw there.' She looked at me and nodded. We resumed to walk.
Alice said, 'You know that you are a scary child, right?' I looked at her and said nothing. She just signed. 'You are too difficult handle,' she murmured. Together, we reached my assigned classroom and motioned me to enter. When, I entered I saw those little brats shouting and causing trouble all around them. I held back a grimace. She looked all around the class and yelled, 'BE QUIET!!!!' Wow. I didn't know she had that in her.
She slammed her hands on the desk which caused the children to quiet down. 'This is Eloise, your new classmate and friend.' She then looked at me and said 'Eloise, please introduce yourself.'
I looked at them and said in a monotone, 'Hi. My name is Eloise Stark. Please take good care of me.'
'Aren't you too young to be in this class?' said a Chinese kid with a heavy Chinese accent.
'Yeah, Zichen, she is only four years old. Now, you can ask questions to her later during recess. Eloise, you can go sit with over there.'
At that very moment, another kid entered the room. Alice said, 'You must be Reed Richards. The principal informed me you will be joining us today.'
The boy named Reed smiled and said, 'Yes, Ms. Scott, I hope I am not late.' Then, he turned around and introduced himself. 'Hello everyone, my name is Reed Richards. I really hope you will take good care of me. I want to be friends with all of you.' The students applauded.
Reed said all of this in a very harmonious and cheerful way but if you look carefully at his eyes, one can say he was faking it. His eyes had a blank look.
One thing is certain, he is a good actor. He easily pulled wool over everyone's eyes, fooling them. He could fool them, but not me. I know these kind of people very well.
Alice nodded, probably applauding him as well. She said, 'Very good Reed. You introduced yourself very well. Now, you and Eloise here (pointing her finger towards me), can take the seat over there.'
Reed asked, 'Eloise, as in the Eloise Stark.' He looks shocked. I could say, probably it's a fast time seeing a baby celebrity. Not to be proud or anything, I am famous right from my birth.
Wait a minute, this name Reed Richards, I know this name very well. Reed Richards A.K.A the Mr. Fantastic. I jerk my head to see that he is already glaring at me. Huh, why is he glaring at me? What did I do?
One thing is for certain that this butterfly effect which caused me to meet this kid version of Mr. Fantastic, won't end good for me.
