ELOISE POV—
When I opened my eyes, I saw smoke all around me. I stopped levitating and so did my items. The items got a bit damaged and my mirror was completely broken. After the smoke dissipated a little bit, I saw a blurry figure in the cover of smoke. Yes, it worked. My altercation worked and I summoned a familiar. I am a genius. But before I could do a victory dance or something like that.
The figure or I should say my summon said, 'You dare to summon me human!'
Now, I should be afraid just like every other human being, but I am not. Why should I? It's my familiar and also its voice is very low-pitched as well. Wait a second, low-pitched?
After sometime, the smoke started to dissipate completely leaving a small cat-like animal. It had a long fluffy tail and its skin was golden in colour with blue patches on it. If I was not pissed then I would have appreciated its beauty.
'Rejoice human!! It's been ages since someone summon—'
'You are cat,' I interrupted and gave him a blank look. By the look of his face, I could say he was offended by what I just said.
The cat said, 'What! I am not a cat!! I am a magical beast. You are a mean human. I don't like you.'
'Pfft, You a magical beast. Look at yourself in the mirror, you are a fucking cat. Just a fucking cat!! And the one that is useless,' I mocked him.
Oh my God! I thought in horror. My room got destroyed for nothing. This is the result of my efforts. Now, I am more than cent percent sure that I am going to die in this world like a pathetic insect. No, why am I even thinking about the future. I think mom is going to kill me today itself when she sees my room.
'Human, you should calm down and I am telling I am not some useless thing. As I said, I am a magical beast. But I am not just any other beast, I am the prince of beasts.'
'Again? I think you are in some kind of delusion. If you haven't broken my mirror, I would have shown you myself that you are a useless cat and you almost broke all my things as well,' I sneered at him.
The cat looked guilty. Heh, I guess at least this cat has some shame in it.
'Well, sorry about your mirror. I kind of like dramatic entrance that's why I did that. Ok, wait a second, let me return your room as it was before and I will also heal your bleeding hand,' said the cat. Then, it flicked its tail. In an instant, my room returned to its original condition and my hand was also healed. Honestly, due to all this tension, I kind of forgot about my bleeding hand.
The cat looked at me hoping to get some praise from me. Fine, the cat is useful in some way. I reluctantly said, 'Good job... you did quite well. I was wrong about you, you are not completely useless. So, what's your name?'
Liam smiled and said, 'Ah, the introductions. I guess we made some progress. good for us. Especially for me. Fine, my name is Liam. Just Liam. What's your name? And aren't you too young to be a summoner?'
I said with a serious tone, 'Hi, Liam. I am name is Eloise Stark and I am four years old,' Liam looks at me in shock, I continued, 'and to answer your last question, I would say that in the future terrible things will happen and I need all the help I can get to fight against them.'
After hearing my words, Liam looked at me in shock but still nodded its head. He didn't ask any more questions about this, which kind of relieved me as I didn't know what to say anymore.
'So, you are a male or a female?' I teased. I know by his talking style that he is a male but let's just tease him a bit. He is not what I expected as a familiar. So, I kind of deserve this.
Liam looked offended at this question. It said, 'Cat is one thing, but why are questioning about my gender? Let me tell you one last time. I am a male and the prince of beasts. Ok, understood?'
I nodded my head at him. I said, 'Fine, I understood. But tell me why didn't you attack me? The book said that familiars don't like the method of summoning through blood by non-mages. So, why didn't you attack me?' I was a bit confused. The book said the summon will attack its master but then again, Liam said the book was incorrect.
'About that, I am not going to attack a 4 years old kid. Also, that book you are holding is useless. I can see the array given in the book, it's not fully correct. I believe you modified it,' I nodded my head to confirm what he said, 'and see, if I kill you, I will die as well.'
Ah, so that's the reason. I kind of suspected that when he said the book was wrong.
'Can I ask you an another question?'
I said, 'Ask it, Liam. I don't care what type of question you want to ask.'
'Why did you use this method for summoning familiar?' asked Liam.
I shrugged and replied, 'I am not a mage.' It's true I am not a mage but I want to be a one.
'Yes, you are not,' said Liam.
'See—'
Liam interrupted me. 'Wait, hold down your horses. I am saying you are not a mage. You are a sorcerer,' he said with tone of finality.
'But I don't have mana or the type of energy said in the book.'
'Bullshit!! If you are saying about Cynosure Energy, then let me tell you one thing. You are reeking of Cynosure Energy.'
What!! I was shocked. This is impossible, right? I gave him a scrutinizing look. He continued, 'Listen kid, you are a sorcerer and a one with a large potential. For the first time in my entire life, I am seeing someone with 4 cores.'
After hearing this, I let his words settle down in me. I took a breath and drank some water.
I closed my eyes and said, 'So, I am a sorcerer.' Then, I am opened my eyes and started to bounce on the bed. Honestly, after hearing his words I am too excited .
'Yes! Yes! Yes!!! I am a sorcerer. Today's the best day of my entire life.' Yes, I am not going to die like a pathetic insect.
'Calm down kid. No need to be so excited.'
I ignored his words and continued my celebration. Suddenly, the doors of my room opened. Both mom and dad burst into my room. I suppose it was due to the noise during Liam's summoning.
Dad yelled, 'What happened Eloise? A very loud noise came from your room and WHY'S THE MIRROR BROKEN?' Fuck, that stupid cat forgot to repair the mirror.
I was stupefied for a moment. After gaining some confidence, I said, 'I can explain, papa and mama.' Ok. Let's try to soften them.
I looked around the room and found Liam to be missing. Good, one thing is done. Let's focus on the issue before me.
