Gabrielle walked into the palace with Lucifer,now Kennedy tailing behind her. She walked towards her quarters gently nodding to the greetings of the guards and maids.
Suddenly, a guard approached her and she motioned for him to speak.
"Princess, the king told you to report to him immediately you get back to the palace"the guard said as he looked wearily at Kennedy. He could perceive the demon's scent coming from him and of course he knew vampires aren't friends with demons.
"Where is he?"Gabrielle asked and the guards turned to her before replying
"He's in the throne hall"
Gabrielle walked towards the throne hall with Kennedy behind her.
"Where have you been?"Aaron questioned his daughter immediately she stepped into hall.
He knew she didn't come home last night and if word gets out again, it might cause another gossip.
"I went to the demon's clan to get my fiance"Gabrielle replied and Aaron's eyes darted to the man standing beside his daughter.
He scoffed as he stared at Lucifer's new form. Everyone might be fooled but not him. He knew beneath those skin lies Lucifer.
"Your fiance?? Then this must be the demon's prince?"Aaron asked with a slight mockery that only Lucifer noticed.
"Yes, Am Kennedy Alistair in flesh and blood"Lucifer said with a mocking bow as a smirk plastered on his face. He knew Aaron was aware he was the one under Kennedy's skin.
That was one of Aaron's ability. No matter who you are, you can't fool him with another person's skin.
"It's a long journey from the demon's clan so you must be tired. Why don't you go to your quarters and rest while I have a word with your supposed fiance?"Aaron suggested and Gabrielle nodded still hesitating to leave but Lucifer gave her a reassuring smile.
"Have a good talk then"she said as she left them.
"So you are Kennedy now?"Aaron asked with a raised eyebrow immediately the throne hall closed after Gabrielle and Lucifer smirked.
"In flesh and blood"Lucifer replied and Aaron sighed.
"So she was at your place overnight?"Aaron asked and Lucifer smirked.
"Yes and trust me, your daughter isn't easy to satisfy. She kept on asking me to go on and on till I almost collapsed. I thought my prick was going to peel off at some point but regardless she tastes so sweet. Its such a pity you can't have a taste to know that am being truthful" Lucifer said and Aaron's face darkened.
"Bastard!"Aaron cursed out and Lucifer chuckled.
"Why do you call me? As I just said, am tired from satisfying your daughter and I need to rest"Lucifer asked nonchalantly and Aaron sighed.
"What's the plan?"Aaron asked in a serious tone and Lucifer chuckled.
"The plan is for you to sit down and keep being a puppet to your elders while Gabby and I do what we want to do. You aren't to interfere"Lucifer said and Aaron scoffed.
"It's not like I have a choice than to sit and watch. My hand are tied"Aaron said and Lucifer hummed.
"You are a king after all. Going against your elders for your daughter might lead to your death also going against your daughter for your elders might make you a bad father" said Lucifer and Aaron nodded affirmatively.
"I never knew you were this sensible in political matters"Aaron taunted and Lucifer rolled his eyes.
"Am not. I only repeated what you were thinking on your mind" Lucifer said and Aaron laughed loudly.
"Typical of a devil"Aaron joked and Lucifer also laughed.
"What do you want to say to me? Knowing the kind of person you are, you have something important to say that must be why you asked me to stay back"Lucifer said and Aaron's face turned serious.
"I met her mother, Lora when I was 270yrs old. I already had two mates before I met her but she was the best. She was unique and different. She was the daughter of an omega vampire and everyone were against me making her "their queen" but I did. Ten years after our marriage, she still couldn't bore me a heir. She had miscarriage many times until Gabrielle's pregnancy came. We were afraid and we thought we were going to lose her but we didn't. In the labour room, her mom sacrificed her life for her. She died"Aaron paused as his voice got heavy with emotions and Lucifer stared at him intently. He also knew the feeling of losing a mate.
Aaron continued as his eyes welled up in tears...
"The first nine years of Gabrielle's life was tough. She looked so frail and I thought I was going to lose her. I abandoned my duties as a king and focused mainly on taking care of her. I was almost giving up but she got a total transformation when she turned ten. She became stronger and I knew that the elders had their eyes on her since then. They weren't going to allow her be the next ruler so they wanted me to take another wife. They wanted a new queen but I disagreed. To me, Lora is my only queen and Gabrielle is the only one who deserves the throne."
Aaron turned to Lucifer and moved closer to him. He placed his hands on his shoulder and shook him gently.
"I have a feeling am going to die soon. They're conspiring to kill me and they will fight against my daughter for the throne. Am not telling you to save me. I have lived long enough to die anyways but please protect my daughter. She is the only thing Lora left for me."Aaron pleaded as tears fell from his eyes and Lucifer smiled at him.
"You know my story, Aaron. I once lost a mate and I had to wait for 500yrs to get another. I won't lose her for anything. I love her and I will protect her even till my last breathe"Lucifer said and Aaron nodded.
"I am trusting you. After my death, please stay by her side"Aaron said and Lucifer nodded.
"I will"Lucifer said and Aaron pulled him into a hug as he sobbed on his shoulder.
"I never knew a king could be a crybaby too"Lucifer joked as he patted his back comfortingly.
"You will understand when you have a child. It's such a pity I wouldn't be there to witness it" said Aaron and Lucifer chuckled.
"You will be there, Aaron. You have to be there"Lucifer said and Aaron sighed.

Lucifer walked in and saw Gabrielle pacing in the room. Her eyes brightened up immediately she saw him.
"Did he find out that you aren't Kennedy? Did he hurt you? What did he say to you?"Gabrielle bombarded him with questions and he smiled pulling her into his arms.
"Which one should I answer first?"he whispered as he trailed kisses down her neck and she moaned out.
"Am thirsty"Gabrielle moaned out and Lucifer chuckled.
"There's no water here. Go to the kitchen"Lucifer said and she whimpered.
The scent of the blood flowing through his veins hit her hard and she really wanted to have a taste. She could do it without his permission but that might make him mad.
"You know what I want. I promise I won't drink much. Just a sip"Gabrielle pleaded and Lucifer smiled as he tilted his neck.
Gabrielle licked the spot she intend to drink from and in a flash movement, she sank her fangs into him. She jumped and wrapped her legs around his waist as she drank his blood hungrily. Her eyes color turned red as she sucked harder.
Lucifer growled as he felt her drink his blood. He was getting pale and if she keeps it up, he might pass out.
"That's enough for now."he said but she didn't answer. Seems like she was lost in the taste of his blood.
"If you don't stop then this will be the first and the last time I will willingly let you drink my blood"he threatened and Gabrielle halted her actions as she retracted her fangs and licked the blood on her lips. She carefully went down and stared at her feet
"Am sorry, I didn't mean to drink that much. It's just that your blood keeps on calling for me"She said softly and Lucifer smiled as he raised her chin up to meet his eyes.
"It's fine, am all yours anyways. I just feel dizzy so I needed you to stop it else I might pass out"he said and Gabrielle bit her lips in guilt.
"I will make you fruit and vegetable salad also plenty meat. That should help replenish the blood"said Gabrielle as she made to run into the kitchen but he pulled her back to his chest.
"I have a better blood supplement"Lucifer whispered as he brought his lips close to hers. He inhaled her scent getting drunk in it and carefully he slammed their lips together.
The kiss was gentle and comforting. Soothing their aching hearts. Giving them hope amidst the troubles to come.
"I will still make you the fruit salad"Gabrielle whispered as they broke the kiss and Lucifer chuckled as he let her go.
Gabrielle walked into the kitchen blushing as she touched as lips. This kiss was different, it felt like he was promising her something. Maybe a better future and a safe life ahead.

Noel walked behind Vanessa as they sneaked into a small cabin. They got inside and a man that he identified to be a vampire was seated waiting for them.
"My lady, you've found him"the man said and he squinted his eyebrow. He doesn't seem to be from the past since he never saw him in his dreams then who was he?
"Yes I did"Vanessa replied as she turned to Noel.
"Noel meet Jonathan, our spy in the vampire clan and he will help you get into the clan"Vanessa said and Noel only nodded.
"What do you mean by getting him into the clan?"Elder Jonathan asked.
Initially, it wasn't in their plan to get anybody in so what's with the change?
"Noel will get into the clan as a guard personally assigned to Gabrielle. He would get close to her and help us from her side. If everything works well, he will be the one to kill Lucifer"Vanessa said with an evil smirk and Elder Jonathan frowned.
"What do you mean by killing Lucifer? He should help in killing Gabrielle instead"Elder Jonathan said and Noel growled as he charged towards him but Vanessa held him back.
"No one kills Gabrielle. Noel wants her"Vanessa said and Elder Jonathan nodded in fear.
"Okay,I will inform you when I get things ready then he can come in."Elder Jonathan said and Noel smiled.
At last, he will get to see her again after all these years. This time, he wouldn't lose her.
"One more thing"Elder Jonathan added and Vanessa raised an eyebrow at him.
"He has a wizard scent and wizards aren't allowed in the vampire's clan"said Elder Jonathan hoping this will ruin their plan but as always Vanessa had a way out of it.
"I got that covered. I will give him a potion to use and that will make him scent like a vampire so he won't be suspected. Do your part and leave the rest to us"Vanessa said and Elder Jonathan had no choice but to agree.
"We'll leave you now and I hope you get to work immediately"Vanessa said as she walked out.
"Don't you dare stab me at the back. I don't know if she trusts you but I don't"Noel threatened Jonathan before moving out too.
Elder Jonathan rubbed his temples in frustration. He didn't know how to go about it.
Gabrielle had always been independent and unlike the past princesses she didn't have a personal guard. Wouldn't it sound suspicious if he offered to give her a personal guard?
He was confused but he knew he had to find a way lest he wants to face Vanessa's wrath.
