Aaron sat in his study as he thought about his life so far. He was trained in love and he never lacked anything. His father made sure he got the best of everything. Everything was perfect and he even got his first mate when he was eighteen.
She was a young maiden vampire and the daughter of his father's beta. They grew in love and he thought it was going to last forever. They kept on hoping for a child but they got none. He prayed to the moon goddess every night and almost spoke ill of the moon goddess.
Thank goddess,he didn't die while starving himself in prayers as he came to stumble upon contraceptive pills his supposed mate took. She didn't want to bare his child yet she fooled him and everyone.
She made them think she was unable to give birth and even him started doubting his ability as a man.
He could remember her words when he confronted her.
"I have someone I love before I met you. I don't want to be a Luna or queen. I just want to live a quiet life with the man I love but my father won't let me. He wants me to stick with my mate because of your power and position. So I decided not to give birth to your child as far as I don't bear your child then I don't have to be with you forever."
He cried and cried every time he recalled her words but he later realized he was being selfish. He was holding her back from having true happiness and if he really loved her then he should do what's best for her.
So he cutoff their mate bond and let her go.
He lived pass that incident and soon emerged on the throne and on his coronation day, he met his second mate. She was very different from the first.
A power thirsty-wench who wanted power and position only. He knew she didn't love him but he hoped he could make her love him not until he caught her having an affair with his beta.

Those were her words to him and he almost destroyed the kingdom his forefathers suffered to build in a fit of rage. He cutoff their mate bond and decided to be alone afterwards. He doesn't believe in the love behind fated mates anymore.
It hurts that he had to be a pawn in the game of mates. They all took his feelings as a joke.
He became cruel and stern in his judgments and was ready to behead anyone who told him to get a queen.
But he met her, his Lora. She taught him how to love again and made him experience the feeling of being loved.
It there's one thing he was grateful for then it was Lora coming into his life. She gave him hope despite her low status, she made him soar high.
She was his everything and Gabrielle was the complete piece of him. Gabrielle was the only treasure she left for him and he feels like he was aging hundred times more as he watched them plot evil against her.
He wanted to eliminate all of them with his own hands but that might cause chaos in the clan. He didn't want to destroy all he had built.
He felt like death was going to come knocking his door soon so he picked up his pen and wrote down a poem.
Poems were the little things he learnt from Lora. She was a great poet and it's quiet unfortunate that Gabrielle didn't inherit that from her.
He wrote a poem by NIFEMI WRITES titled "THE DAY WE GET TO MEET AGAIN"
"I lived through centuries yet I gained less wonderful memories
I hoped a day will come when I will find a place away from all this troubles

I couldn't keep to the latter but I tried to hold onto the former.

I can feel that the end is near and I hope you are ready to welcome me again
Have been counting days to my last breathe as much as I want to be in your arms;

Tears clouded his vision and he was unable to write anymore. He dropped his pen and he fell on his knees crying. It hurts like hell to know that death awaits you at the end of the road.
Not just death by nature but murder. He had always wished to die peacefully like his father but that seemed to be a dream that will never come true.
"I miss you,Lora! Things has been tough since you left me"he cried out as he hit his chest softly.

Kennedy walked behind Amelia as she fetched fresh herbs from the forest. She decided to cook some herbs to assist his healing although he told her he had healed completely.
"How many more herbs to go?"he grumbled and she glared at him.
"Ten more and you will keep quiet and obediently follow me without grumbling"she said and he nodded like a lost puppy.
Amelia smirked internally. She really didn't need to fetch all the herbs but she only wanted to punish him a bit besides walking might help him heal faster.
"Let's just teleport to get the herbs"Kennedy said and Amelia smiled sweetly but not so sweetly.
"No, your demon also needs to heal. He must be very weak"Amelia stated and Kennedy rolled his eyes.
"Zack is never weak"Kennedy said internally and Zack let out a tired yawn.
"If mate says "am weak" then I am weak and I need to heal" Zack said as he went to sleep and Kennedy scoffed.
"Bastard"Kennedy growled internally.
A gasp from Amelia got him back to his senses and he saw her eyes widened as she stared at something or someone behind him. Zack hurriedly got up.
He turned and saw a man sending daggers with his eyes towards her and he was quick to take a protective stance before her.
"Who are you?"he bawled but the man ignored him as he stared at Amelia who was behind him.
"You know me, right? You always appear in my dreams and you are my mate. We had sex a couple of times too" Noel said as he stared at the little woman behind that demon. He knew he was a demon from his scent.
He was trying to locate places from his dream and somehow he ended up here where he saw a familiar woman picking herbs. Her name must be Amelia, that's if she is really the one from his dreams.
Amelia stared at the man before her and her eyes welled up. He might be in a different form but his scent is still the same. The man she once loved and gave her innocence to. She begged him to love her but he didn't.
"I want to scratch his face till he bleed and kill him again and again"her wolf,Pearl growled as she tried to come up to the surface but Amelia held her down.
"I don't know you"Amelia lied but her voice betrayed her. It was evident that she was lying.
"Why are you lying to your mate? You were always so eager to get on my bed before"Noel asked in confusion.
Wasn't she suppose to be glad to meet him? Or was the memories messed up? Maybe she never liked him. Well, he doesn't either.
Kennedy growled as his hairs changed color to golden and his eyes became like sun rays as heavy rain started falling. Zack emerged.
He willingly gave the body to Zack as he was having a hard time suppressing his emotions. He already found out that the man before him must be the former mate of Amelia and he couldn't control his emotions seeing him.
He wanted to rip his head apart but he didn't know what Amelia's reaction might be. He didn't want her to see him as a monster but he knew Zack wouldn't have a second thought before ripping his head off.
"So you mean am a monster?"Zack sneered and he rolled his eyes.
"That's your middle name"he retorted and Zack chuckled.
"Let's deal with this scumbag who caused our mate pains"Zack said as he turned to Noel who seem unfazed by his transformation.
Amelia gasped as she stared at Zack. It was her first time meeting him and he exuded a mean demeanor. She watched him step towards Noel and her hands automatically held him back.
"Zack!"she called softly and he turned to her with tilted head.
"Don't do it. He doesn't worth it"Amelia said. She had heard from Kennedy how ruthless his demon was and she needed no one to tell her he was going to hurt Nathan badly.
Zack carefully touched Amelia's face as wiped the rain droplets falling on her face as he squinted his eyebrows.
"Are you crying?"he asked in a soft tone and Amelia smiled as more tears fell from her eyes.
"No, am not. Let's go home"she said as she choked on her tears and Zack nodded positively as he turned to Noel with a glare.
"She saved you this time but I hope we don't meet again. If we do then you might know why Zack is Zack"Zack said deadly and Noel still remained unfazed.
He had faced a lot of threat in this life and he even faced death in his past life so this was nothing.
"You make me anticipate our next meeting. I hope you take care of my used item"Noel said glancing at Amelia who balled her fists and her body trembled as she sobbed.
Zack heard the tears of their mate and glared at Noel. He wanted to go to him and destroy that filthy mouth of his but Amelia held him back again.
"Please let's go"Amelia pleaded
She didn't want to stay there anymore. Her shameful past was just resurfacing and it's more shameful that Kennedy was with her.
Zack gritted his teeth in anger. As much as he didn't want to go without hurting this scumbag he had no choice since his mate wanted to leave.
"I will pray to the moon goddess that we meet again"Zack growled as he pulled Amelia into his arms and they teleported back to the mansion.
"I think she needs you more at the moment"Zack said as he allowed Kennedy take over.
Kennedy pulled Amelia into his arms and hugged her tightly as she wept on his shoulders.
"It's okay, it's all in the past now!"he comforted but Amelia sobbed harder.
She loved him and this was what she got in return?? He called her "his used trash". She really felt like a trash.
Kennedy whimpered as he read her thoughts and he raised her chin up to stare at him.
"You are not a trash. You are a treasure that he lost and he'll never gain back"Kennedy said as he closed the gap within their faces and kissed her lips softly.
Amelia moaned into the kiss and wrapped her arms around him. This feels heavenly and it makes her satisfied. There's nothing more comforting than this.
The kiss got heated in a while and she ran her hands through his body tugging his trouser. Kennedy pulled her closer and entangled his tongues with her.
Suddenly, the thought of her being touched like this by that scumbag came to him and he pulled away from the kiss. Amelia stared at him in hurt. She knew what he was thinking.
"Am sorry"Kennedy said as he noticed hurt in her eyes but she smiled sadly.
"It's okay. You aren't a saint not to have thoughts like that. I will do the same if I were you."Amelia said and Kennedy scoffed as he pulled her closer.
"No, I was a jerk for thinking about that. Who cares about what happened between you two? It's all in the past. You are mine now and that's what matters"said Kennedy as he claimed her lips again and Amelia smiled as joy erupted in her belly.
What more could she ask for in a mate? Kennedy was more than enough for her.
That moment all thoughts about Nathan or Noel's appearance flew to the back of their mind and they got engrossed in their world of passion.
