CHAPTER 19 💜 20
(DAY 1)
Neriah sat opposite Lucifer as they stared at each other. It was their first day and he promised to prove that he wasn't a monster but all he had been doing was staring at her since. Taking in a deep breathe, she decided to take the lead.
"So is this how you prove yourself?"asked Neriah and Lucifer's ears turned red in embarrassment.

Lucifer was speechless, he had said he wanted to prove himself but he didn't know how to. His demon and wolf already shut him out as they wanted him to handle all of it on his own but he was clueless.
"I don't know what to do"Lucifer answered nervously as he looked down. He couldn't bare to look at her.
Anyone seeing him in this state wouldn't know he was the almighty Lucifer,he looked like a little puppy being scolded by his mother.
"Well I know what we can do"Neriah said as she sat closer to him. Her body was aching to be close to him and her rationality was slipping out. Well, blame it on the mark!
If she wasn't marked then she could still remain the same Neriah who loathes this man but now her feeling are undefined and complicated. She doesn't know why she feels for him anymore.
But she knew that whatever it is will be over in the next three days. She will be going back home and she will forget everything that happened here including this man. So she will just enjoy being here while it last.

Lucifer stared at his mate and a sad smile appeared on his face. She still wants to leave and she wants to forget everything. Is it really the mark that made her stop hating him? How he so much wish it wasn't the mark but it was her who decided to stop hating him.
"What should we do?"asked Lucifer and Neriah smiled mischievously.
Lucifer knew at once that her idea wouldn't be a good one.
"Let's run down the hill"Neriah said and Lucifer's eyebrow furrowed.
"Are you trying to escape again?"he asked and Neriah sighed.
"No, am not. It's not like I can get away from you besides you already promised to take me home"Neriah said but Lucifer still stared at her doubtfully.
He could hear her thoughts and he knew she had no intention to run away but he couldn't bring himself to trust her maybe because she betrayed him once.
"It's fine if you don't trust me. We can just stay indoors"Neriah said sadly as she made to go back to her original position but Lucifer held her back sending sparks all over her body.
Newsflash,she feels nothing for him. Her body is probably reacting that way because of the mark.
"We'll go but don't dare run away from me. I can't guarantee how I will punish you this time"Lucifer said coldly but deep down he was hot. The reaction of his palm on her skin was making him feel how he has never felt before.
He felt hot and his hormones were raging. He had the urge to pull her closer and slam his lips with hers. Her thoughts that he was hearing weren't helping him at all.
Neriah licked her lips nervously as she nodded her head. What was wrong with her? She was feeling hot all of sudden. She somehow liked the thought of getting punished by him. Will he probably kiss her roughly? Or pin her down on the bed while he do naughty things to her or...
"That's enough" Lucifer yelled as he let go of her hand and she stared at him confused. She wasn't saying anything nor doing anything so what was enough?
Lucifer ran his hand through his hair in frustration. He never expected his mate to be this naughty. Her thoughts were wild and crazy. He had to stop her as he couldn't listen to anymore of it.
"Get ready. We'll be leaving soon"said Lucifer as he quickly left her side before he lose his rationality.

Neriah hopped happily down the hill as she inhaled sharply. This was the scent of nature, mixture of green leaves and water. She turned occasionally and smiled at Lucifer who was tagging behind her.
"Be careful, you will slip"Lucifer yelled but it was too late as she lost her footing and slipped
Neriah closed her eyes expecting a huge and painful collision with the floor but nothing came instead she felt strong arms wrapped around her. She blinked her eyes open and saw Lucifer holding her tightly as he glared at her. He looked hot and her eyes trailed to his lips that were moving.
It seems he was saying something but she was lost in how plump the lips were. She was sure they will taste like cherry.
Lucifer's face flushed red as he heard her thoughts and he cleared his throat as he raised her up.
"You should watch where you are going"said Lucifer as he walked ahead of her but soon he felt a huge weight on his back.
Neriah grinned as she jumped on his back. If he was going to scold her then he could also carry her.
"What are you doing?"Lucifer asked as his face went hot. Why was he reacting this way to her touch?
"What does it look like am doing?"retorted Neriah and Lucifer chuckled as he carried her down the hill then an idea clicked in his head.
"Do you want to see my wolf?"asked Lucifer hoping she will agree and he felt Neriah tense a little.
"Can I?"she asked cutely and he nodded as he placed her down and pull off his shirt to avoid ripping it while Neriah looked away shyly.
"Don't be scared when you see it"he said and Neriah nodded.
Sounds of bone cracking and body reforming was heard and a loud growl resounded around the forest.
Neriah gasped in fear as she stepped back unconsciously looking at the big creature before her.
It was a big black wolf if about 4inches tall with silver linings on his fur and red eyeballs making it look dangerous. The red eyeballs made her know that this was really Lucifer's wolf.
She pinched herself to be sure she was still alive. The wolf walked towards her and she stepped back making the wolf bow his head in sadness. She felt bad so she moved towards it slowly and rubbed his fur.
It felt so soft and heavenly and in no time she was running her hands on his fur earning purr from the wolf as it sat on the floor and she sat beside it.
"So what's your own name?"she asked the wolf and it stared at her confusingly. She laughed at herself and mentally smacked herself. She wasn't expecting a wolf to speak.
"I will call you 'Veer'. You look brave so that name suits you"said Neriah as she patted its head and the wolf purred in happiness as it moved closer and lick her face while she giggled.

Meanwhile, Vanessa was coming back from the meeting with the vampires. It took them a day to come to a conclusion on how to go about the plan and she was worn out already. Nathan decided to stay back at the vampire's clan and she cared less.
Suddenly, she heard a loud growl. She knew instantly who did that. No wolf could sound that powerful than Lucifer's wolf.
She teleported to the place the sound came from. She saw Neriah playing happily with Lucifer's wolf.
If she had any restraints about killing Neriah before then it was all cut off now. It was obvious that Lucifer's wolf loved Neriah and the look on Neriah's face proved that she felt something for Lucifer too.
"I won't allow you get in my way, foolish human"Vanessa said with hatred laced in her voice as she teleported away from the place.

Neriah had a wonderful day playing with Lucifer's wolf and she was worn out.They were on their way back home and of course she was on Lucifer's wolf back.
Lucifer smiled sheepishly within his wolf. He was glad his mate had a nice time. It was the first time he saw her laughing that widely and they played many games.
His wolf was really helpful but he was sure he won't have peace when he takes over the body because his wolf will keep on boasting about how happy he made their mate.
"Yes, I plan on boasting about it. Unlike you I didn't make her cry"his wolf said to him coldly and he rolled his eyes.

"Ahh,am worn out"Neriah said as she slumped on the bed. She sat up and stared at Lucifer's wolf.
"Won't you switch back to normal?"she asked and the wolf purred before coming closer and licking her face for the last time before switching back to Lucifer.
Her pupils dilated at the sight of Lucifer. He was stark naked before her. Her eyes traveled down as she gulped down nervously.
"I don't mind you checking me out,mate but I don't think you are ready to meet my little monster"Lucifer said and Neriah quickly took her eyes away.
Lucifer chuckled as he left the room to get clothes to wear.
"I will make dinner"said Lucifer as he walked out and Neriah hummed in response.

Lucifer kept on smiling sheepishly as he made dinner. He was felt joyful and he guessed this was what they call 'happiness'.
"There was a witch"his demon suddenly said and he froze.
"Where?"asked Lucifer as his eyes turned cold.
"At the forest,when mate was playing with us. She came closer and then left"said his demon.
"What do you think she wants?"asked Lucifer.
"I can't figure it out but she exudes a bad aura"said his demon and Lucifer nodded.
"I sense danger. We should protect mate at all cost"his demon added and Lucifer's grip tightened.
He wouldn't allow anything happen to Neriah. He will protect her at all cost even if it will cost him his own life.
"Let's watch and see"his wolf said and Lucifer nodded in agreement while his demon hummed.
