Chapter 1 - The World Is Different

Fresh blood continued to flow in the room. It was dark and very humid, not even a breath of air. It is not known how many people died in that room. All of these victims submitted and let their lives be lost in honor of the king of Altares.

Stepping with a straight body and his eyes kept looking at the people one by one who was currently bowing their heads to welcome the arrival of King Altares.

"I want this old woman!" said King Altares as he pointed at a middle-aged woman in somewhat tattered clothes.

Meanwhile, the woman raised her head not expecting that she was appointed to be the next victim. "No, I don't want to give my life for the king," he refused as he stood up.

No one dared to be as presumptuous as that old woman, the king of Altares stared blankly and his entire face turned red with annoyance.

His face looked extremely worn and a cold mist enveloped the entire palace.

Everyone's lips and bodies trembled violently feeling how the cold air pricked their skin. Even all the water around the Palace was frozen.

"If this old woman doesn't give her life for me, then I will turn this village into an ice village."

Such firm words with emphasis on every word spoken.

The noise was clear, people's gazes feared for their lives in the future if everything froze because of King Altares.

"Open the gate and let everyone out to think about their fate, including this old woman," he said, glancing at the old woman who was looking at him.

Sitting on the throne that he had been waiting for for a long time made him smile broadly. It's been two years since he became king after killing his father.

"Excuse me, king, are you sure about doing this?" the squad leader asked king Altares.

"Sure, I'm pretty sure. Why do you ask that?" he replied with a disapproving expression.

"Everyone in a few days will die because of your actions king, you will be punished later!"

"No one dares to punish me, if that happens then I will punish you first," he said while taking out his prided sword.

The sword was at his side and ready to behead the troop leader named Wiraga.

"You know I don't like people like you. That's why..."

Jleb!

Instead of his severed head, the sword stabbed Wiraga in the stomach. The pain was felt until a few minutes later his eyes bulged and his body fell.

"Arghhh... " Surprised by the dream that just happened again. No matter how many times a night he kept dreaming the same dream.

Altares has always been confused by his dreams. He stood up to get a glass of water with a shocked face feeling that he was the one who had been stabbed by the sword.

"I don't know what to look for, does that dream show who I am?" he said, confused by the meaning of the dream. "Yes, I am the king of Altares and how was I when I became king?" Altares spoke again. He lost half of his memory and is now trapped in a world like this.

Yes, his life now wasn't so bad but he had to find out why he was exiled in the future.

Unaware that it was already morning, Altares seemed to be late for work. He immediately went into the bathroom and came out of his room wearing a white shirt and black tie and black pants that made him look so dashing.

The altar has been trapped in this place for three months.

His luxurious house is indeed the result of his sweat working using the power he has. He remembered several months ago when he first set foot in this country.

Three months earlier.

His eyes opened and Altares was in an unfamiliar place. He was confused as to why he was there.

"What place is this?" asked King Altares who was lying in the middle of the road. He saw several people looking at him. The confused and strange looks were very clear in the eyes of these people. "Why are you looking at me?" King Altares spoke again with bulging eyes.

Altares sat up and looked up and down at the people staring at him.

"Why are they dressed like that? What kind of clothes are they?" He wondered to himself with a look full of confusion. "Which kingdom are you all from?" growled king Altares at all of them.

Instead of answering properly, the people laughed at him so that King Altares's hands clenched.

"Who are you and where are you from?" asked one of them with a chuckle.

"Sounds crazy, let's go!"

Everyone left Altares in annoyance. How not to get angry when the pride of a king was trampled on by commoners in this place? Altares got up and ran while swinging his sword at one of them.

"Choose death or apologize to me?" he said with a sharp look.

"Hahaha...haha...." The laughter sounded again, everyone laughed at it for the second time.

"This toy sword won't stab us!" A blonde-haired woman said with a faint smile toward king Altares.

King Altares was silent, he was surprised to hear the woman say that her sword was fake.

And his eyes fixed on the sword so that it made him silent again.

"This is not my sword." Altares was annoyed and threw the sword in his hand.

He who had been thrown into a strange place and now who would dare to exchange swords? Without that sword Altar would not be able to live perfectly, even the power it possessed was mostly contained within that sword.

"Arghhh... where's my sword!" Altar screamed so loudly that his face turned red.

His face was downcast sadly, this was the first time the king of Altares had experienced tribulations in life. He who always lived in luxury, now is down, as if he was not a king but himself like a commoner.

Walking without knowing the direction and his eyes were amazed to see several cars passing right in front of him. Yes, he was currently standing by the roadside with sparkling eyes.

"This place is nice, lots of iron horses that move fast, mine is not like that," he said, looking at several cars speeding by.

Altares remembered something when he was fourteen years old. He once studied the future with his teacher. Of course, the future with his past life is different, he also goes to a place that will help him be in this future world.

Just as he was about to run, King Altares didn't notice that a black car was speeding towards him and...

Bruk!
