His eyes widened when he saw a woman who was currently in front of him. Yes, Altares still remembered that woman's face. She was the one Altares threw away yesterday, and how could being here even want to propose to be a bride-to-be for Altares?
"Sorry, we can't accept you," Altares replied flatly and now he looked at Arga to drive the woman away.
"Why? I want to try, do I not fit the criteria? But I'm sure I will be a good wife."
That answer made Altares chuckle. Where is the good wife from? Just yesterday that woman had troubled Altares. After all, that woman can't be the woman Altares is looking for. Because Altares believes that the woman he is looking for is strong and brave.
Altares went back into his house, while the woman was still stubborn and kept begging.
"You have to go, we can't accept you!" said Arga grabbing the woman's hand roughly.
Expelled by force but not making the woman give up, she kicked Arga in the shins and ran into the house.
"Shit... that woman," Arga muttered, grimacing because his shins hurt so much.
He hobbled after her because otherwise he would have been killed by Altares for not doing his job properly. Yes, he knew very well how Altar behaved. Aside from being the commander-in-chief, Arga is also Altares' best friend. Yet he was exiled for ten years to perfect his powers.
Meanwhile, Altares is now in the pool. Finding the woman he was looking for made him exhausted, moreover, his efforts were fruitless.
Swim and soak because the weather today is very hot. Altar who was swimming suddenly gawked at a woman who was running towards him and didn't stop. Until...
Byur!
The woman fell into the pond. Altares' angry and annoyed face was so obvious. Her mouth gaped in disbelief at this ugly sight.
"Arga...." Altares shouted in the middle of the pool loud and firm until Arga came not long after.
"Sorry, I was negligent king," answered Arga lowering his head not daring to meet Altares' eyes who were looking at him sharply.
He was about to swim towards the edge of the pool and suddenly stopped when he heard the sound of splashing water and screams for help.
"Please... I can't swim," said the woman waving her hand.
Instead of helping him climb and sit in the pool ignoring women who can't swim. Meanwhile, Arga was speechless by what he saw. He was used to seeing Altars like that, even the Altars who became Kings were crueler than his future life.
His eyes stared straight ahead with a crooked smile that looked so happy.
"Arga," Altar called Arga who was standing not far from where he was. With wet hair after swimming, King Altares's handsomeness increased.
"What's wrong king?" asked Arga.
"I told you, if you are in this place, don't call me king, just call me by name!" Altar looks annoyed because if Arga calls him king then Arga will actually be considered crazy and Altar will also be affected.
"Good king, pardon me and what do you bear?" asked Arga, looking at the pool.
"Please you find another woman again, we will start again tomorrow!" Altar ordered Arga, he was still looking for a woman who would help him return to the past.
Arga nodded and said goodbye, but before leaving he again stopped his steps. "Altares, it looks like that woman drowned in the pond. You don't intend to help her?"
"Go and stay away from it!" said Altar.
"If he dies, it's you who will be questioned, even with your powers but the future is different... sorry, I'll be leaving now." Arga, who spoke earlier, advised Altares to help the woman, but seeing Altares' cold gaze made Arga scared and leave.
Arga's departure made Altares speechless. Arga is like his adviser, and what he said just now is true. But Altares was already irritated and angry at this woman for always interfering in his life recently.
"Is it true that women can't swim well, and what if later she just pretends and deceives me like the immoral woman earlier?" said Altar.
Out of curiosity, he dropped his body back into the pool. Diving and looking for the woman earlier, right in the water Altares saw the woman faint. And quickly he dives until he catches it, and brings it to the surface.
***
Back to save the woman's life for the second time, but this time it was different. Altar did not save by force but by artificial respiration. The woman almost lost her life, and strangely Arga's words had moved Altar to save her.
Now they were both in the room, and Altares was waiting for him to wake up from his stupor. He was slightly suspicious of the woman because she could have been a thief and chased after her. Where is the proof that at night women are playing in the middle of the forest?
"Arghh... where am I?"
Altares rolled his eyes lazily, like in those movies when people pass out and the first thing he says will ask where he is. "You were in my room," Altares replied flatly and gruffly.
"Huh? The room? Then my clothes?" he said while looking at the clothes he was currently wearing. Using a very large shirt even his pants have been changed. His eyes widened in shock at what happened to him. "What have you done to me?" he asked, crossing his arms over his chest.
"You weird woman, I was just helping you. I didn't even touch you, just looking at you grossed me out." Altares leaned his head back and said annoyed that he was being accused.
"Looking for a bride, you crazy man. Why doesn't anyone want a man like you, huh, when you're handsome and wealthy? But now I know the answer."
"That's none of your business!"
"That's none of my business. No one wants a man to be rude and disrespectful to a woman like you. You almost killed me."
Both of them didn't realize that they looked so close, even their breathing could be heard by both of them.
"Get away from me, you commoner!" Altares said while pushing the woman's body because she realized they were so close, but the woman instead pulled Altares' hand making both of them fall on the bed simultaneously.
"Quickly get your body away from me!"
