Eon sprung into action, leaping into the air and landing right behind Reniris at the perfect time to use his body to block the unexpected attack on Reniris's back. The force of the attack only managed to push him back a mere three centimeters back.
"a 2 v 1 is unfair, you know"
He said with a grin on his face, ready to pounce at the young lady who seemed to want to sneak attack Reniris.
"Nathaniel?!!"
"Huh?"
Eon showed a confused expression as he heard his name. How did this girl know his name?
"Someone you know?"
Reniris turned her head and asked, a mistake on her part as Alexander disappeared from his position in a blur of speed, faster than ever before.
"Got you!"
'Steel arts: Iron fist'
He arrived before her and swung his fist forward with the force greater than he did before. His arm glowed a silver hue as he used his internal mana(Im) to enhance his strength and power.
His fist was aimed at her torso as he planned to punch right through her body. She wouldn't die right away from that, which would allow him to watch her die like the wench that she is.
Unfortunately, Reniris disappeared, and his punch connected with Eon's hand, creating a shockwave that kicked up dust into the air and surprisingly enough pushed Eon's arm back all the way, something the Dragonoid found interesting.
"You owe me a favor for this!"
Alexander couldn't help but be confused, this man couldn't possibly be talking to him, right as he tried to pull his fist off the man's hand he felt someone wrap their arms around his torso.
"You could have dodged!"
Reniris responded to Eon as she lifted her opponent off the ground and slammed him onto the cold, hard dirt ground, and successfully knocked him out.
"A suplex, nice"
"No, not nice. it gets dirt on my hair"
She complained, and Eon simply shrugged and shook his head. Unfortunately, their conversation was cut short.
"Nathaniel Aluicious De Dreyer?"
Eon couldn't help but cringe as Reniris gave him a questioning eyebrow raise.
"Cousin, what are you doing here?"
Reniella cheerfully asked, surprised by this unexpected encounter, as she walked towards her cousin.
Eon found himself contemplating on what to do. On the one hand, he could play along with the charade and pretend. On the other, he could do the opposite and not do that.
Thinking further he realised that there was no point in pretending to be someone he isn't, he may have the prince's memories and there may be some left over muscle memory but he is his own distinct person and he wasn't about to pretend to be nobody.
Not only that but he found it distasteful to continue a life of someone who's already dead, plus he wasn't about pretend to have any relation to that fucked up family.
"I'm afraid you got the wrong person, The name's Eon Steel."
"Cousin you wound me, to think you'd deny me like this, I know we may not have spoken a lot but we've seen each every year in the sword tournament, but for you say such hurtful words, I am appalled"
She said playfully and faking a look of hurt as she walked straight up to him and looked him straight in the eyes, she was certain it was him.
Nathaniel was never allowed to participate in the sword tournament due to his lack of talent however he was always present and she saw his face often enough to remember him but regardless if they spoke little, he was still family and she would treat him as such.
"I don't know what to tell you, little girl my name is Eon Steel"
"Little girl?! I'll have you know I'll be a fully grown adult in 2 years so I'm no little girl"
She answered a bit offended by his words.
"So at current you are a little girl"
"..."
She could not argue with his logic so instead she scrutinised him, looking him over, and examining his magic signature. It was wild and untamed with sharp edges and shapes, like that of a child who has yet to be taught how to properly wield it.
This is what she'd expect from someone who is untrained in mana refinement but not something she would expect from someone who lacks a magic talent, just because one cannot use magic doesn't mean they don't have a magic signature, since mana exists in all things living or nonliving, as such even if he can't use magic he should still have a magic signature, but that's where the problem lies.
His magic signature shouldn't be so distinct and so unique, while everyone's magic signature was unique to themselves, people who can't use magic have similar magic signatures and one would be hard pressed to see differences at first glance, however there's still a difference.
Think of twins, while they maybe identical physically they're still distinct individuals as well it just won't seem that way from afar or just by looking at surface level
"When were you able to use magic?"
She asked curiously, by all accounts he should have the magic signature of a person who can't use magic yet here he was.
"We'll talk about this later, you're the Princess so throw that guy in a dungeon or something."
Eon decided that this would need a lot more explanation than he was willing to give at the moment so he decided to change the subject , plus it looked like Reniris would need her own separate explanation too.
"I can't just throw people in dungeon because you say so, you could be the one in the wrong for all I know"
She reasoned as she looked past Eon to see a man slumped on the floor and his rear end pointing to the sky and his shoulders kissing his knees.
"That's fair I suppose, but he did attack me and said he wanted to kill me. There has to be a punishment for that right?"
Reniris answered as she crossed her arms
"Did he kill you? No, so I can't really do anything plus were there witnesses to this?"
Eon quickly looked at the guild master, who immediately knew what was up, he sighed and scratched his head.
"I'm a witness"
He said jumping down the rooftop, he figured why not have the troublemakers be put in a dungeon, the Princess already took down a few so having the other two taken down will help the city become a livable place.
"Also, that man over there is responsible for at 10 deaths within this city, this year alone"
He said before looking around and spotting some adventurers that had been watching the fight from the rooftops and inside houses, he used his hand to beckon them to reveal themselves.
"Who are you?"
"I'm the guild master of this city's adventurers guild, my name Samuel no last name."
"OK, Mr. nolastname, why-"
"No, I have no last name not that my last name is no last name"
"Alright, why should I believe you? Are there any other witnesses"
"I'm a witness!"
An adventurer shouted from the rooftops.
"Yeah I'm a witness as well."
Another spoke and was followed by others who exited the houses or jumped down from the roofs.
Seeing all this the princess could not help but think.
'so many people just randomly standing on rooftops, weird'
....
A/N: Ihope you enjoyed pleat leave a comment, what do you think about Reniella? is she likeable? When I was thinking of her character I was imagining a female Dom Toretto, someone who is all about family and would do anything for their family but also kind of Overpowered. She'll be a recurring character so I hope she's likeable
