Having exited the training room, Sam had instructed the two to wait while he talked to the sole receptionist in the guild about making their guild cards.
"So… you owe me a favour"
Eon began. He had a cocky smile on his face as he informed her. He had leaned into the backrest of the chair he was seating on, relaxed.
While Reniris was sitting straight up as her eyes wandered around, checking out the empty guild building, she found a few things interesting, like the walls being enchanted and such.
"No I don't, I didn't ask you for anything"
"Yeah but the outcome benefited you. My actions resulted in your benefit"
"Oh, shut up. You just had a fight an–"
Her words were cut short as she used her arm to parry the sword aimed at her neck, receiving a shallow cut before she quickly jumped back, Eon did the same, although he wasn't targeted and only reacted to a perceived dangerous situation.
"Fucking whore!! I'll show you that you don't do that to people like me"
The words came from Alexander's mouth as he charged towards Reniris at speeds superior to the average adventurer, he arrived before his foe and swung his blade towards her neck.
Reniris ducked down, and placed her palm on his torso before using wind magic to blow him back, sending him back and slamming on to the hard walls.
She quickly made her way outside, she knew from her spars with Eon that closed spaces were her disadvantage as she preferred to fight from a distance since she preferred to use Magic rather than her fists.
Alexander didn't spare a glance at Eon as he rushed out chasing after her. Eon quickly chased after them, he wasn't about to miss Reniris's first serious fight.
Both fighters were now outside, Reniris healed the cut on her arm and tied her hair into a ponytail. There was quite the distance between her and her opponent, and for some reason he wasn't attacking right now.
She figured he must have been trying to figure out ways to close the distance and reach her since she's a ranged fighter and he was at a disadvantage.
'I won't give him the chance'
Seeing the two people stand off the civilians quickly did their best to get out of the way and hide inside their homes.
With a few looking through windows wanting to see the fight. Eon found himself a spot atop the adventurers guild, a perfect place to see the entire fight.
Alexander on the other hand had now calmed down enough to understand that the woman was not someone he could defeat easily and he knew from their first exchange she was mage, someone who had the advantage in a distance.
So he needed to approach this fight more tactically.
He grabbed two barrels from the street and threw one of them at her using a great amount of power and the wooden barrel shot in the air like a cannon ball, flying towards her position at incredible speeds.
*Fwoosh*
Seeing this, wind coalesced above her hand and an arrow of wind formed itself before she commanded it and shot it forward, at a greater speed than the barrel and the two projectiles crashed against each other and the arrow of wind destroyed the wooden barrel sending splinters of wood and water flying everywhere.
"?!!"
seeing another barrel flying at her, she decided to dodge to the side and let the barrel fly past her.
She felt the wind brush past her hair as the Barrel flew and she understood the barrel was thrown with a significant amount of force however turning to look at her opponent she found him gone from his original position.
She creased her brows as she began to think of his possible next move. It was already established that she was a long-range fighter, meaning that in order to properly get a good hit in, her foe would need to get closer as such…
'Behind me!'
She thought and quickly turned around to face her enemy, a magic spell already prepared, however as she turned to attack, she showed her back to her enemy.
"That would have been too obvious"
"?!!"
Alexander suddenly appeared behind her and swung his long sword full force, aiming to cleanly cut her head off, a wide grin was plastered across his face as the blade sliced through the air, the wind whistled as the blade approached her neck.
A spiralling tornado formed on her palm and she turned her hand towards his stomach, she gently placed it close to his torso and Alexander was once again sent flying through the air, as he was blown back several metres away from her position before crashing onto a building and stopping his momentum.
"That was close"
She said to herself as she touched her neck and saw the dark blood leak from a small cut, if she had been a second later in using that spell, she might have lost her head.
"He's got skill, no doubt"
She said to herself once more, as the wound closed itself, she found it odd that she had black blood but decided to shelve that for later, it seems questions about herself were piling up.
While she thought about that, multiple projectiles flew towards her at breakneck speeds, first it was a sword, the same one that Alexander was using, she simply side stepped let it fly past her head before grabbing its handle and using it to parry and deflect the various random objects thrown at her.
She then spun the sword around before stabbing it on the floor and taking a fighting stance, imitating what she saw Eon do. She used her hand and goaded her foe to attack
Bulging veins revealed themselves on his forehead as he seethed in anger as he saw her actions from his distance,he hated fighting mages and the bitch wasn't using any magic circles to cast which put him at a disadvantage.
Despite all that, he wasn't about to let this woman get away with disrespecting him, like that. He can't have people in this town think that he was to be underestimated.
This city was his to play in, and he can't have interlopers ruining what belonged to him.
The fact she was practically asking him to attack only fueled his anger. It was imperative that he killed this woman and set an example.
He charged at his opponent once again, his figure blurred as he utilised his full speed and reached her in mere seconds, but Reniris was ready
