I feel his hands on my waist, and hell, I've missed this. I've missed him—his touch, the warmth of his lips, and his scent.
I feel my blood drain for a moment when he doesn't kiss me back but instead pushes me away gently. I pull away immediately and glance at him. He says nothing but pulls me into a hug, whispering in my ear, "We need to talk."
I nod, and he starts packing his bag. Does he no longer want me? Didn't I push him away and ask him to stay distant? What if I didn't want that anymore? What if I wanted him close and craved more? I have taken him for granted so many times; not even Alan made me feel the way he does, or did half of the things he's done for me.
