NARUTO POV:
"We are going to be seeing what your ability may be able to do" Hokage Jiji said as he and Naruto walked to training ground 1, the Hokage' s personal training ground.
It seemed that the Hokage would train at Training ground 1, Captain of all Anbu in the village and Jonin leader at training ground 2, and till training ground 9 were all given as private training grounds for each clan.
"What do you think it might do dattebayo? I bet it'll be amazing!" Naruto exclaimed, ever the bundle of hyper energy.
"Well, we'll have to see" the Hokage said.
And see they did.
For the next 4 hours the Hokage along with Yamato conducted various tests, from sticking him in mud to see if it would respond, to putting him amongst a bunch of trees to see if he could use the wood style, his 'black chakra' as Naruto called it, did not seem to correspond with any of the 5 main elements nor any of the already existing sub elemental Kekke Genkai.
"If it were a non-elemental ability like Sharingan or byakugan it wouldn't have shown up on chakra paper" Hiruzen muttered to himself. "Maybe we should ask the fox or get a byakugan user to see if there are any abnormalities in his body".
They did just that. Not just any Hyuga though. To ensure privacy be maintained, they asked the leader of the Hyuga clan, Hiashi Hyuga himself. Of course, you don't ignore the request of the Hokage, so despite his bodyguard's protest he went alone to training ground 1.
"Naruto, please sit down in the lotus position and try to feel for your chakra core. It is basically like a source of water, and your chakra coils are like tiny rivers that flow through your entire body." Hiashi instructed as he activated his byakugan.
"Now, focus on the flow of your chakra. Feel where and how it moves."
What Hiashi observed slightly shocked him. What he had expected was to see Naruto's blue-ish chakra core as all human's had near between his ribcage, near the heart and the Orangish Nine tails chakra at his navel where the seal was.
While the Nine tail's chakra was in the correct place, Naruto's blueish chakra core was in the area in front of his right lung. Parallel to that, in front of his right lung was a pitch-black sphere, behind the heart was the core to a whole new system, like another set of chakra coils which joined with his normal ones in specific areas.
When he reported this to the Hokage, He also mentioned "It looks like the core for the 'Black chakra' as Naruto calls its network is something which I can only see the structure of, not the actual flow."
After Hiashi left Naruto said "Wait so we still don't know what it does dattebayo", sounding annoyed.
"Can you feel your black chakra core?" Hiruzen asked.
At being given a nod he said "Try channeling it to your right hand once and holding it up"
"Well, I guess I can..." Naruto said as he held up his hand and his skin started turning black.
Before he could react to , Hiruzen launched a water Jutsu at him.
To Naruto's amazement, the water was repelled from the black areas on his hand.
"Hmm, as I thought. It seems to repel or erase chakra." Hiruzen said, stroking his beard. "Naruto, while I cannot reveal to you who your parents were, I can tell you that this kekke genkai seems to be both your mother's and father's ability along with a few special scenarios being met. While the core was formed due to your father's ability, my theory is that due to you being an Uzumaki and a Jinchuriki since birth, your body was forced to create something to negate that massive amount of chakra to prevent you from exploding. The reason you can use it outside your body however, is due to Uzumaki's being proficient with creating seals by just a touch."
Naruto almost cried when he was told this. His parents were the reason he had this ability. "Hey Jiji, why can't you tell me at least their names?" He asked tearfully.
"Both your Mother and Father had powerful enemies Naruto. While I would hope it will never happen, the villager's hate for the nine tails might end up with them giving your parent's enemies a chance to hurt or kill you. Until you have proven yourself capable to fight on par with a Jonin or at least a Chunin, I do not think it safe for anyone other than those I feel won't try to hurt you to know about them."
Naruto nodded, all he understood was that as long as he would prove himself as strong enough, he would be told his parent's identity. This increased his motivation to be Hokage. Not just for recognition and to protect those he cared for, but to also know who his parents were.
"I would suggest you learn how to use a weapon Naruto. This ability along your wind affinity could easily counter most Jutsu, and it would be easier and more practical to channel these through a sword or such." Naruto nodded with a grin, picturing himself cutting a fireball in two.
"Also, Jiji i wanted to ask you something..." Naruto said while the hokage listened before nodding.
SASUKE POV:
Someone was at the Sasuke's hotel room door. He figured it would be either Sakura or Naruto.
He was proven right when Naruto barged in.
"Heya Sasuke. I've got some good news for ya" He said as he plopped on Sasuke's bed while Sasuke sat beside him. "So.. I talked with Jiji and he said it was ok so I figured I might as well ask you too."
Now Sasuke was curious. What could be so important that Naruto had gone and asked the hokage?.
"You wanna live in my apartment?" Naruto said, smiling at him. " You seem a bit lonely in this room, and I could definitely use the company dattebayo, so how about it?"
Sasuke was stunned. While he had been feeling very lonely, he had been constantly thinking about ways he would kill Itachi to distract himself. Now he was being given an opportunity to be spared from that loneliness, with his best friend no less.
All he had been thinking was of revenge. He had thought that he would have to distance himself from everyone and to only train.
'Isn't that how Itachi also was? And look how he ended' he thought to himself.
"Sure" He said with a grin.
And so, two lonely boys became less lonely.
Also Naruto saw how much of a clean freak Sasuke was, Cleaning the hall while Sasuke cleaned the room meant for him was not a fun experience apparently.
