Chapter 9 - 5 weeks

SASUKE POV:

Sasuke was very pleased with himself. Not only had he been able to get a deal with him learning forging, he had managed to convince the man who owned the shop to contact his friend who dealt with mechanical things like levers to teach some stuff to Sakura.

He could already imagine it. Them pulling a lever for a secret staircase to assemble itself in front of them. Where the secret staircase would take them he didn't know, but to his young mind it was extremely cool.

Of course, he didn't show it. He just 'acted all nonchalant and cool' as Naruto called it. Either way, for the next five weeks all of their schedules were going to be tight with academy, training with Yamato sensei and these craftsman ship lessons they would be taking.

NEXT DAY:

After getting a huge shock in the form of a hundred Narutos grinning at him when he came home the previous day, he had explained to Naruto the plan.

The blacksmith, named Higarashi koshi, was an expert in forging and was the owner of Higarashi weapons, a prominent ninja supply shop in the hidden leaf.

He stopped outside an old house. He knocked on the door a bit unsurely. Koshi had said that the person best for fitting a workshop would be here. The door flung open and Sasuke saw an eccentric looking man wearing an afro wig looking at him curious.

He realized he was staring and quickly bowed and introduced himself and what he was here for along with who had instructed him to go there. The man nodded after a bit and removed his afro before saying "Well, yer in teh right place. I'm the man yeh need. I built Koshi's workshop from scratch and yeh won't see a better workshop in teh whole village. Aight follow me now. I know just where yeh can buy everything yeh'll need" He said with a nasally voice. "I'm Kashin by teh way, call me old man if yeh want, most people do"

As Sasuke followed him, doubting whether this man who was clearly a bit drunk could help. He was proven wrong however, as they went from shop to shop, buying things they needed, buying so much Sasuke ended up going to Naruto and ask for 15 clones for help. While Sasuke was now filthy rich due to the whole clan's money being in his name, he didn't want to waste any if he didn't have to.

He was amazed when the old man inspected the house once, used a measuring tape and took a few measurements in a notepad, checked the blueprint Sasuke and Naruto had made for everything they wanted, before going into professional mode and instructing the 15 clones like he was a war commander leading his soldiers.

SAKURA POV:

While Sasuke was busy shopping with Kashin, Sakura was walking up to the house she had been told of. She had always liked making paper cranes and cardboard houses. She was thrilled when she heard a master craftsman/engineer would be teaching her.

As she knocked on the large rectangular building, she saw that a lot of things there were mechanically automated. She was startled when she heard an unfriendly voice. "Who is it? Who? I don't have time to deal with pointless things so go away if you're not important" Someone said very quickly and sharply.

"I'm Sakura Haruno. Mr Koshi told me to come here to learn craftsmanship."

There was a series of scuffles behind the door before, to her astonishment, instead of the door swinging inward or outward it receded upwards into the roof.

A thin bespectacled man with a white coat smiled at her and said "Well come in! I was so surprised when Koshi of all people asked me to teach a kid some stuff."

As Sakura entered the house she saw so many little trinkets she couldn't even understand half of what was going on.

"Alright then. Lesson 1: Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, can be used for making something. Take a wheel and a rope for example. With just those two, you could make a swing by tying it to a tree branch, or make a pulley, or even a weapon by swinging the wheel by the rope. A true craftsman can do all these things in their brain long before they actually attempt it. There is no room for failure."

As Sakura processed this information, he had already moved to another area, gesturing towards a bunch of wooden panel things. "These are panels. These panels can be used as a type of lock too. A stick can be turned into a flat board if it is simply assorted with the correct accessories. Same way, a box could become a house..." at this point Sakura was lost as he rambled on and on.

She got the gist. Think imaginative. "AND SO LET US SEE HOW THE BUD OF YOUR MIND SHALL BLOOM INTO A BEAUTIFUL FLOWER" he said with such vigorous hand gestures he looked like he was dancing.

"Another Gai-sensei" Sakura sighed.

These were going to be 5 long weeks.

NARUTO POV:

Naruto was currently doing a bunch of D-rank missions given to him by the hokage while 100 of his shadow clones worked on his new seals. While the hokage had been hesitant, Naruto had pointed out that they were just glorified chores and that academy students could easily finish a bunch.

Now, with the power of shadow clones, he was doing about 20 D-ranks an hour, a number which usually took a Genin team at least 2 weeks. He had even managed to find a way to make the infamous 'Capture Tora' mission easy by simply putting a beacon seal into the 'demon cat's collar.

Now when she would escape he would simply follow the beacon until he found it and would use 3 clones to surround it before taking it back to its master, where it was hugged almost to death.

Another good thing was that the villager's had seen how instead of pranking he was helping the village. A lot of villagers had already decided to give him a chance before labelling him as a demon after seeing him clean a lake with a great view no one had wanted to go near due to pollution, making the people in that area very happy that they would not have to breathe polluted air.

He was very happy when instead of forcing their children away, a few parents let him stay nearby their children when he was walking on the road.

A few people, like a mask seller who had hit him in the face for no reason at one point, had even apologized to him and had promised to try to convince their friends and family that he was not a demon.

He had already made a lot of cash due to these and had assured Sasuke that he did not need to hold back and make the workshop as great as possible.

If this is how the whole 5 weeks were going to go then not only would he be rich by the end of the week his reputation in the village would also exponentially increase along with his sealing skills.
