Chapter 14 - First Day At Academy, Hmm Maybe For Both Of Us...

"I still can't believe it."

A frail-looking boy with long black hair cascading down his back walked alongside a black-haired girl of similar height. While he was lost in confusion, she was buzzing with excitement.

Today marked the end of their mid-term vacation, and classes were starting again.

"Vigra, what's wrong with you? You've been lost in thought since yesterday. Is something bothering you?" Her tone, cheerful a moment ago, softened with concern as she looked up at her brother.

Vigra's thoughts drifted back to the events of last night.

He was indeed lost, still trying to process everything. But when he looked at the sweet, cheerful girl who was now supposed to be his sister, he forced a smile and shook his head. "No, nothing. I was just thinking about the upcoming semester."

Though he had already confirmed it the previous night, it was still hard to wrap his head around the fact that he had somehow transmigrated into the very novel he loved.

But, to be honest, his mind wasn't only occupied by his transmigration. He kept thinking about another girl—one he had once believed was meant for him.

For the sake of his hard-built VR company, she had poisoned him and left with his best friend, who he trusted the most.

The betrayal stung, leaving him frustrated and empty.

Now that his old life was over, all he could do was hope she'd face the consequences. But in this new world, he had no way to confirm and yet, other problems to focus on.

This world indeed had magic, which thrilled him, but it was also equally dangerous.

The body he now occupied belonged to Vigra, a first-year student at The United Academy—the very place where the main story began. Unfortunately, this boy wasn't even a named character, he was just an extra.

What troubled him more was that, despite inheriting Vigra's body, he had no access to his memories. He had no idea how to interact with his supposed sister or if he even had other family members.

Countless questions consumed him, making his situation awkward.

'I need to atleast get basic information fast, or she'll start suspecting something,' he thought, letting out a sigh.

He moved toward the class building.

According to his sister, he was in Class S.

Yeah, the very class where the main characters of the novel were—the class meant only for the best of the best.

And yet, somehow, he was in that class.

Was this body really that special? If so, he'd need to be even more prepared.

'Tsk! Curse my luck,'

At the very least, he had knowledge from the novel to guide him. But before he proceed, he needed to assess his strengths and figure out where he stood in the class's power hierarchy before walking into that room.

Which will give him better idea of his situation.

And what better way to do that than by checking his status? It was one of the conveniences of this world.

"Status," he mumbled under his breath.

In an instant, a glowing blue screen materialized before him.

"Fuck, what is this?!"

Vigra muttered under his breath as he scanned the screen. 'The rest is expected since Vigra is in Class S, but this 'Time Recoil' skill… if used right, it's a broke'

A grin spread across his lips, excitement replacing his initial worry. 'I'll manage the rest somehow, now.'

"Vigra, are you coming?"

His sister's voice snapped him out of his thoughts. Refocusing, he walked into the classroom, eager to try out his newfound skill. But even more than that, he was excited to see the characters he once thought of as fictional, now moving before his eyes like real people.

He had followed them for over a decade through the long-running novel. The spark of excitement within him surpassed the tension he initially felt. After taking a deep breath to calm himself, he sat beside his sister.

It was only then that he truly noticed her—she was beautiful, her features easily matching those of any female lead he had read about. 'Why was she an extra?' he wondered but quickly dismissed the thought.

As, It was time for class, and he needed to focus.

Today was supposed to be the most difficult theory subject—Magic Engineering.

"Did you guys hear the news?"

Vigra's attention shifted to two students nearby. They seemed to be fellow extras like himself, and he decided to eavesdrop.

"The Magic Engineering class is getting a new professor, apparently."

"Yeah, and he's a vampire."

"What? The United Academy invited a non-human to teach. Then he must be something extraordinary."

"They had no choice after the previous professor suddenly resigned."

"Well, the professor lost to a student in front of the entire class, what else could he have done?"

Listening to their conversation, Vigra's lips curled into a satisfied smile. 'At least the story's going exactly as I remember it.'

Next, his eyes drifted to the second row, where two girls sat together. One of them, with long purple hair and piercing purple eyes, radiated a dominant aura.

"Natasha Macstay," Vigra muttered under his breath.

She was one of the main characters of the novel.

"Natasha, I think they're talking about you," the girl sitting beside the purple-haired girl teased.

Natasha merely smirked, "What did I do wrong? I just pointed out to the professor that there was a mistake in his incantation formula."

At the time,

Suddenly,

Vigra, lost in the live conversation of characters he had only read about, suddenly felt a chill run down his spine.

The air had grown cold—just too cold to ignore.

He glanced around, noticing that others felt it too. Their faces showed discomfort as they shivered.

'Why is it getting so cold?'

His question was soon answered when he turned to the entrance. A tall, muscular man walked in, his long white hair neatly styled. Dressed in a sleek black coat, he looked more like a mafia boss than a professor.

A frown creased Vigra's face.

'Why is this scene getting different than what was explained in the novel?'

His worry grew even more as the professor's eyes briefly met his, sending an even stronger chill through him.

The man's gaze was bone-chilling.

Then, a loud, heavy voice filled the room.

"Alastor von Helsing," the professor announced, standing at the front with his hand resting calmly on the desk. "From today onwards, I will be your Magic Engineering professor."

His presence was sheer dominance and cold authority. The classroom, which had been filled with murmurs moments ago, fell into absolute silence.

All eyes were focused on him.

And then,

"Sir, may I come in?"

A boy with messy hair, panting heavily, stood at the entrance. He was clearly late.

But seeing the boy's face only deepened the frown on Vigra's face.

'Why is this guy late?'
