'tit!' 'tit!'
Jared lazily got up from the bed. As usual, he peered outside the window while stretching his whole body.
After doing his morning routine, a familiar sound of notification rang in his head.
[Ding!
Another wonderful day.
Would you like to sign-in?]
"Of course" he hastily replied.
[Ding!
Congratulations! You have received 5, 10x rebates to be implemented of your choice.]
Rebates!
He was baffled and surprised, and a rush of excitement filled his entire being. However, the mixed positive feelings quickly faded as his mind flickered with unknown doubtful thoughts. "System, it seems like i have forgotten something something important. Did i miss any---"
Then a sudden realization hits him hard.
'holy molly!'
His jaw fell when he recalled the long-forgotten objective he needed to complete. He had lost track of the 100,000,000 he required to fill in the 0/100.
His heart began to run tremendously fast; his entire body felt like ice, rigid and cold. His face instantly turned pale, as if his soul had fled his body.
"How could i forget something important!" His devastated tone echoed inside the house.
'what should i do?'
"System, how many days do i have left?"
[Ding!
You only have two weeks left.
Be sure to complete the mission, or prepare for worst.
Fighting!]
His eyes almost balled out from the socket.
"The f*ck!"

Meanwhile at the Delevingne Real Estate Branch.
The office was thrown into a complete chaos.
"Is this real?"
"What the heck! An entire street?"
"Is the manager not here yet? We need him. Call him!"
The abrupt full ownership transfer threw the entire office building into a major state of shock. They learned that someone had claimed not just one or ten commercial buildings, but the entire Yellow Street.
"How wealthy was this one? Owning an entire street!"
The Manager arrived and witnessed the whole chaos that was happening inside the office. He frowned upon seeing the never-ending chattering and loud noises.
"Manager!"
Employees began to cluster around him, prompting him for questioning them about what was happening. The employees began opening their mouths one by one. Despite his ears bleeding from listening to incessant conversation, he definitely heard unanticipated events and surprising announcements.
"What? The entire Yellow St? Are you serious?!" His eyes widen in shock with his mouth gaped open wide. One employee quickly ran towards him, holding a red folder.
"Here! Here! It was here!"
The Manager swiftly took the folder and flipped the cover only to see the clear written letters on the paper. It was clearly written there that someone named Jared Hale has legally purchased and claimed full ownership of an entire Yellow St.
'gasp!'
"Manager! This is big! This project is big and we will have a bonus!"
"This is not just one house or building! A hundred commercial buildings and street are owned by one person! We hit a jackpot!"
They rejoiced. The staff began to scream praises to the guy who would give them a sizable bonus for purchasing the street, which cost hundreds of millions.
The manager took out his phone and dialed the number on the paper to connect the owner.
Jared, on the other hand, was thinking anxiously about how to complete the the task when he received a call from an unknown number.
Krriinngg!
Unknown Number!
He looked at the notifications and saw the strings of numbers he missed from last night.
"Hello?"
"Hello, Mr.Jared Hale? My name is Nordy Glenn from Delevingne Real Estate Branch. I would like to personally meet with you regarding the full ownership of the Yellow St. There are papers that need to be signed and handle properly. Do you perhaps have time today?"
Jared's mind began racing, thinking the positive outcome that the Yellow St. would bring to him.
"Sure. Where are we going to meet?"
"How about in Moonlight Café located in the Yellow St."
"Sure"
After his conversation with the agent, he continued to carry out his daily health mission, despite his thoughts being preoccupied with incessant yelling at himself for forgetting the mission he had received.
Lifting the barbel, he could not stop cursing himself. "D*mn it! How could...you forget...the mission...you freaking... foolish!"
His expression was filled with frustrations and worry. There are only two weeks remaining, and that time is too short for him to accumulate the 100,000,000.
"Whatever. I hope it works out"
Time was ticking, and Jared was concerned about the consequences if he failed to complete the assigned task, but now that the Yellow St. belonged to him, he was considering making the most of it by adding the 10x rebates he had hoarded.
After much deliberation, he left to see the agent on Yellow Street. While driving, Nordy Glenn had just arrived at their destination. He sat down and checked his wristwatch to see the time. It was still too early, but he was eager to meet the person on the phone.
Jared showed up in only a few minutes. He surveyed the shop to find the person he was meeting. There are other customers, but his attention is drawn to the man next to the window, who is glancing at his wristwatch and tapping his finger on the table. He moved without regard for the eyes of those within.
"Nordy Glenn?"
Nordy lifted his head to the familiar voice of person who called him. Sure enough, the person in front of him was young, but his voice was the same as when they talked on the phone.
He wore a surprise face, realizing that the person standing in front of him was far too young to own an entire street. His face was absolutely beyond good-looking. His height and build was like those of a model in a magazine.
'how can this young man be so wealthy?'
He immediately stood up and extend his hand. "You must be Mr. Hale. I'm Nordy Glenn of the Delevingne Real Estate Branch. It's a pleasure to meet you".
Jared caught his palm and shakes them to his. "The pleasure is all mine".
After introducing themselves, they ordered drinks before Nordy placed the red folder on the table.
It was the property ownership certificate.
"As per the contract. The procedure will be needed. Identifications and signatures for handling the full ownership of the property"
Jared did not care about any procedures. All he wanted was something that could help him not to fall from the bottom of his life again.
"What about the renting?"
Yes. It's the money.
Money that could use to fill the gap.
But the problem was...
"The previous month's rent was already handed to the owner. And since this was the second week of the month, the renting will also goes with him and next month renting will start to fall on you as we speak"
It was the rent.
If he just owned the street in the last week of the previous month, then this month's renting will fall into him, but sadly, two weeks had passed by and even if he had just claimed full ownership, the previous owner still has the authority to claim this month's rent.
It means that he will start to get the money on the first day or even the last day of the next month, which is the problem since he only have two weeks left and he couldn't afford to missed any single day.
He needed the money, ASAP!
Jared flipped the paper one by one then signed several papers and went on for any necessary procedures.
"When will the next rent will be claimed?"
"Uhm. As for the next month's rent, some of the stores are paying their rents the first day of the month, and some are paying on the last day, it varies to the owners and the contract signed" Nordy explained.
Jared was beginning to get nervous.
He didn't want to experience the past life ha had, living in an old neighborhood for several years like stagnant water on a lake and never had the chance to enjoy life as much as he wanted.
He never wanted to feel the same shame and inferiority towards everyone he sees.
No no!
But now he has the wealth he dreamed of, he wouldn't let any mistakes that would dragged him down.
"I needed this month's rent, asap"
Nordy was stunned. "Uhm. We might have a problem with that. Even if you claimed---"
"I will give the previous owner this month's rent. I want this month's rent to fall into mine. I have unforeseen circumstances and this street was my last option. It's giving me a lot of headache"
Nordy's face has a hint of questions and curiosity, but he didn't want to rub the wealthy person the wrong way.
'Why would he need this month's rent when he could get the next month as if his life depends on it. Will he die if he can't get a hold of the rent for this month?'
But before he could speak, Jared interrupted him. "Bedsides, it wouldn't be so hard to convince the previous owner since i will be giving him this month's rent, in full"
Seeing the serious face of the new owner, Nordy shook his head. "There will be no problem. But it will take a few days to conduct and calculate, since there are new signed contract who paid for a full year"
"Wow. That was quite generous to paid the rent for a year" Jared was astounded. It was hard to find store owners who will pay a year-worth of rent.
"Yes. One of them was this store. It was a branch Café that started this month and they already signed the contract"
The Moonstone Café.
