MATTHEW
It is not an exaggeration to claim that he cannot win against someone like Logan. Logan has a significant advantage over Jared in terms of fighting power and physical build.
I'm not sure where his confidence comes from, thinking he could beat a professional fighter with extraordinary training and stamina.
I had just met Jared for a few hours, so I'm not sure what he's capable of, but his confidence is something else. I'm not sure what he's going to do or how he'll win against him, but I hope he can save his face after the fight.
Who knows what will happen to him after this.
.
.
.
'clang!' 'clang!' 'clang!'
The bell rang, signifying the starting point of the fight. Logan jumped on his feet, utilizing the same strategy he had used just moments before.
"Hey, i will give you a chance to punch me first"
Logan's frown, hearing what Jared said.
"Kid, fighting is not a joke---"
"Coward. I gave you the opportunity to strike first, and you were unable to do it," Jared teased, standing motionless.
The crowd began to whisper.
"What is he doing?"
"Is he nuts?"
"D*mn! The fight is over. He's not gonna win against Logan. It's just a waste of time"
Matthew and a manager next to him felt their chests thump with anxieties as they heard the crowd express their own sentiments. They realized Jared lacked the skills necessary to defeat a professional fighter. But the confidence he exudes makes them believe he has something on his sleeves, but they have no idea what it is.
"You f*cking b*llsh*t!" Logan released a strike while jared stood still, waiting for the punch to land on his face.
The crowd gasped, while the other party smiled wearing the confidence that they would win.
"Beat him up, Logan!"
"Hey kid! You're dead!"
But Jared did not mind. Logan hit him, and he took a couple steps backwards, feeling the pain and tingling sensation.
'f*ck! It's heavy'
It was the first time he took a hit from an actual fighter, and it never fails to overwhelm him; however, he never expected the strike to be so heavy that he felt a minor dizziness. He touches his lips, and blood flows from the cut.
"What now? You think this is a joke. I'm telling you kid, it's too late to turn back now," Logan said before throwing a punch, but Jared blocked him, forcing him to take another step back. He struck him back, but Logan quickly took some distance back.
"Hahahaha! Is this the confidence you are talking about? That's pathetic!" The coach laughed along with the others.
Rocky's members were disappointed. They never anticipated anything from the newcomer, but he had the nerve to make a bet. If he loses, the gym will be embarrassed due to his negligence.
They couldn't even speak and kept on shaking with their heads in disappointment.
Logan was yelling, lifting his hands and walking back and forth to show the others that no one could beat him, and Jared immediately grinned as the sound reverberated within his head.
'too easy'
[Ding!
Congratulations, host, for completing the given mission rewards.
Please stand still while learning Krav Maga and Mixed Martial Arts.]
'finally!'
His head was full with encrypted fighting styles. He shook his head, then stretched his arms. Logan looked at him and chuckled when he saw Jared looking calm.
"Stop pretending, kid. You couldn't even fight, what would you do?"
He didn't mind hearing the laughter in the crowd. Now that he knows martial arts, he can easily defeat a stronger opponent.
"Stop pretending to know how to fight and give up the 10,000,000 bet"
"Kore wa jikan'nomudada. Watashitachi wa koko de mudana tatakai o mi tsudzukenakereba naranai no ka? ( This is a waste of time, do we have to stay here watching a useless fight? )
"Sōda ne. Ie ni kaette yasumitaidesu. Koko ni kite mo mudada. ( Yeah. I want to go home and rest. Coming here is useless. )
The man responded to the woman next him in their native tongue. They both have the same bored expression, as if nothing else around them is insteresting.
The coach invited them knowing that they were not members and were only there to pay a visit, but the selfish coach wanted to benefit more from the two people's families, so he asked them to observe his territory, which included fighters.
He desired to connect with a bigger fish in the hopes of becoming famous, as the two foreigners were not average people. If he could express himself by flaunting his professional fighter, the person behind the two might give him support, bringing him to a much larger stage.
However, he notices that the two people appear uninterested, which causes him to become agitated and begin biting his nails. He hoped to impress them, but it appears that his approach is fruitless..
Meanwhile, inside the ring.
Logan started to plan for himself after the fight. If he won the money, he would drown himself in drinking and hire ladies to pleasure him. He grins as thoughts emerge in his mind while glancing at Jared.
"What now? I don't think you have what it takes to take me down. You don't even know how to fight"
But words never got through to Jared, and all he could think about was what martial arts he would use to defeat his opponent.
But well, no matter what technique he will use, it will only result to something he wanted...
"Who says i can't fight? Please prepare yourself, this will gonna hurt"
...it is to win.
With a grin on his lips, Jared folded his hand tightly and hard before launching an attack. Logan sensed something was amiss. Jared's footwork became active. His feet were moving like they were dancing. His body felt light, unlike before. His movements became lighter and faster.
Everyone present couldn't take their eyes off Jared, who was moving quickly, unleashing multiple punches and kicks, while Logan continued to shield himself, unable to strike due to the opponent's rapid change in speed.
"What? Is there something wrong with my eyes? Why does it seem like his movement changed?"
"No sh*t! Logan couldn't even strike an attack and all he even did was cover himself!"
"Hahaha! What the f*ck was that? That kid is hiding his strength!"
Logan sensed that something seemed wrong as the murmurs resonated and the cheering surrounding the ring continued. It was only a few moments ago that Jared appeared to have no fighting experience, but his quick movements have led Logan to believe that Jared has been hiding his strength all along.
Thinking that he was played by his opponent infuriates him.
With Jared's punches and kicks, making Logan continues to step back, the crowd cheering uproar.
He wanted to retaliate, not be humiliated. He broke free, intending to strike, but his desire for vengeance was stopped short as he was surprised by a sudden attack from his side.
His body began to tremble, and his vision distorted. The ringing in his head, which prevented him from properly hearing the sounds around him, quickly disrupted his sense of sound.
Logan's coach sprang up from his chair, shivering in anger when he saw logan stumble. 'What is happening? I was certain it was a kick, but what was its strength?'
They all saw it. When Logan broke free, he intended to strike a punch but the sudden attack from the leg landed on the side, causing him to set off balance.
"That's it?"
The distorted sound of Jared echoed in his ears. He had no idea what was happening. His body is shaking, bending his knees and wondering what happened.
Jared couldn't also believed what he was seeing. Logan was on his knees, looking weak. Several strikes made Logan bend on the floor.
'am i that strong?'
He was speechless and the rest of the crowd felt the same way. They don't understand why Logan is kneeling, recovering his breath, and seeming weak, given that Jared strikes with tremendous blows but not to the point where his opponent is forced to bend his knee.
'was that kick strong!'
'maybe he strikes an attack like pinning acupuncture needle on the point'
They were lost in deep thoughts but no one knows the answer.
The manager wrinkled his brow, analyzing every possibility that came to mind, and he can't help but wonder, 'What was that? I was certain there was nothing impressive about his kick, yet Logan seemed feeble; how much strength did he put into his leg?'
'he looks normal'
