Eleanor's POV
The silence in the room was suffocating. Jarvis stood by the door, his hand hovering over the knob as if he were about to flee. Alexander, who had been brooding by the window, suddenly turned. His eyes bore into Jarvis with a sharp intensity that made the air crackle with tension.
"Do you have an idea where Mira is?" Alexander's voice was low, but the command in it was unmistakable. There was an edge to his tone, a barely restrained fury that made my heart skip a beat.
Jarvis stiffened, his fingers curling into a fist. "I don't know," he said, his voice shaking with a mix of frustration and anger. "By the time I returned home to pack my things, several days after the kidnapping, the whole place was empty. It was like she vanished into thin air. No trace, no clue—nothing."
