"Are you serious?!" I exclaimed. I was beyond ecstatic. My heart raced through the roof. If he did really mean it, then I could spend extra time with my son. This was a dream come true. "I am serious," he said. "It would be easier for you and me, of course, so how about it?" He glanced at me, awaiting an answer. "Absolutely yes!" I exclaimed in joy. This was an unexpected surprise. A damn pleasant one, as such.
"What brought about this wonderful gesture?" I questioned him.
"My son." He answered me instantly. "I saw how attached he is to you, so I decided to allow you to live with us for a while. I hope that it's okay with you," he said.
"I am delighted to accept the offer, even if it's in the interim." I burst out. "Than that's settled," he remarked.
