Going forward, Kang used Yuna and Aster's assistance to note the threshold for the guild rankings. As for the S-rank, Kang needed to have a look at the ones from the top one to the top five to see if they were true S-rank or not.
Once done with that, Kang considered the fact that humans could have three abilities at most which made him question the reason why. As far as he guessed, each human was born with their abilities and thus they could effortlessly use them due to the unnatural familiarity called 'Talent'.
But what if someone wanted more, never mind more, what about something stronger? Kang thought as long as someone knew mana circulation and control then they should at least use that ability if they have it. It was not like they had a system that controlled that aspect for them.
With the sunlight of the next day around the corner, Kang notified Aster and Yuna to prepare for them to enter the gate he reserved the previous day. About an hour later, all of them entered the gate. This time, Kang allowed Aster to hunt so he could assess his potential as intended previously.
Seeing him in action told Kang all needed to know as Aster was an agility-based hunter. Unfortunately, the weapons he used didn't help him much but instead brought his speed down due to how heavy they were. Helping him on the spot, Kang created two light daggers before transforming them into acid weapons.
Now with the new equipment, Kang watched Aster improve significantly since his balance was now much better compared to before. Still, his moves and attacks were clumsy due to using a new weapon he was not quite familiar with. Either way, Kang had a good idea to fix that issue once they were back to the guild building.
Yuna's improvement was pleasing as well, but that as far as it concerned beasts. For intelligent beings such as humans, Kang believed he needed to spar against her to help her progress in that aspect.
The same was correct for Aster as well. But for now, he decided to bring their full potential against beasts out before proceeding forward. He believed it would help them regardless, even if it was minimal at the end of the day.
About an hour later, Kang allowed Aster to rest since Yuna was reaching her limit soon and then he would need to do his actual job, which was collecting the mana stones for them. Soon enough, both left the gate as ordered, leaving Kang behind.
"A complete set of different beasts and terrain, it looks like this gate comes from another dimension." Activating his Lifesteal as he marched through the dungeon, Kang took his notes. Compared to the vastness of the rift he entered before, this dungeon couldn't amount to 10% of its size.
While Kang would have loved to explore more, he decided to leave because this dungeon was gonna collapse and close soon since all of the beasts inside were wiped out.
"Hmm, Not bad. I should probably go hunting on my own sometimes to boost my stats at the very least. On the other side, I may as well give both of the serums to get some experience from the beasts they kill…" Checking his status, Kang noted his laziness was unacceptable. Having his arm torn apart easily was one of the things on his mind. Meanwhile, that was just an A-rank hunter according to the system. Then what could the true S-rank hunters do? Probably far worse, either way, Kang didn't want to know nor experience such a thing.
Thus he proceeded to book as many gates as he could before executing his daily plan. On one day, he would accompany them to see their progress and feast on the corpses, and on another, he would solo a single gate by himself. What transpired inside, was nothing but senseless grind and killing as Kang's stats continued rising slowly toward his goal.
The days passed quickly while Kang continued his relentless hunting. Thanks to his devouring, Kang was past midway with a total of 200 in Constitution, 150 Dexterity, and 200 in Strength. With Strength and Dexterity right where he wanted, Kang continued pumping all the stats he found into Constitution as intended.
One thing he practiced along the way was using precision and blood control to alter his body size rapidly to gain an advantage in battle. Not to mention his blood, which crossed the threshold of a hundred thousand, being 134 thousand, and his level, which reached 20.
With the day of the auction approaching, Kang decided to take a break and continue after. Even though he ended up at 245 Consistuion instead of 300, he content with his progress so far. Using the 30 attribute points he had from leveling up, Kang threw all of them at his Dexterity stat to bring it closer to Strength.
Three days later, Kang entered the Hunter Hub auction house accompanied by both of his followers. As something under the full control of the council, the massive hall was big enough to handle a couple of thousand hunters not counting the VIP rooms that welcomed a couple of S-rank rankers along with their followers.
As one of the item providers, Kang and his group were treated very well. The room he had was one of those closest to the stage with a screen that displayed a closer image in case he needed to inspect something before bidding.
