"Isn't Ron a 'Summoner'? What on earth is a Necromancer?"
Upon hearing this unfamiliar job title, Link couldn't help but raise an eyebrow and curiously ask.
"'Summoner'?"
The Big-Eyed Demon was momentarily taken aback, then scoffed disdainfully, "Master, please don't compare those fools who worship a mere beast as a deity to our noble and sacred 'Necromancers.' It's an insult to our realm of the undead!"
"Uh… alright then!"
Link felt a bit exasperated. He didn't quite understand why the Big-Eyed Demon was so upset, nor did he grasp the intricacies of this so-called "Necromancer." However, he had always been rather carefree, and soon accepted this brand-new identity.
"So, this is my summoned creature?"
At that moment, Ron was staring wide-eyed at the skeleton soldier he had just summoned, his eyes sparkling with excitement.
"Come on, give me a spin!"
With Ron's command, the skeleton soldier obediently turned in place, just as he had instructed!
"Hahaha, so obedient, so good!"
Seeing this, Ron couldn't help but burst into joyous laughter!
But then, whether it was due to excessive excitement or a momentary lapse in judgment, he took a couple of steps forward and hugged the skeleton soldier, planting a big kiss on its dirt-covered, maggot-infested cheek!
Smack!
"Ugh…"
Link watched in horror, nearly retching at the sight. He couldn't help but curse, "Damn it, Ron! Have you lost all sense of nobility? Kissing your own summoned creature?"
"This… haha, please don't be angry, young master! I was just too excited; after all, this is my first summoned creature! I never thought I, Ron, would have a day as a practitioner!"
Ron scratched his head awkwardly, then turned to Link with a face full of excitement, "Young master, with my current strength, I should be able to help you quite a bit, right?"
"Just you? Let's not kid ourselves!"
Link rolled his eyes in exasperation. Ron was merely a Level 1 Summoner Apprentice. If he encountered that "Golden War Lion" Leo from before, a mere fart from the opponent would send him scattering. Where did he get the confidence to claim he could assist?
However, thinking about it, having such a weak servant beside him didn't reflect well on Link as a master!
With that in mind, Link once again asked the Big-Eyed Demon in his heart, "Big-Eyed Demon, isn't my servant's strength a bit too weak? Is there any way to make him stronger?"
"Master, as the ruler of the realm of the undead, you can certainly bestow greater power upon your followers, provided you have absolute trust in them!" the Big-Eyed Demon replied promptly.
"I trust him completely; otherwise, I wouldn't have made him my first follower!" Link said without a second thought.
Ron had grown up alongside him. Although he was just a personal servant, his loyalty was beyond question!
"Then there's no problem!"
The Big-Eyed Demon said solemnly, "With your current strength, you can easily elevate your follower to an 8th-level novice practitioner!"
"What? An 8th-level novice practitioner?" Link was taken aback.
"Indeed!"
The Big-Eyed Demon nodded and added, "Moreover, as your strength increases, you can grant your follower even greater power. However, this bestowal cannot exceed your own strength!"
"Wow, that's just too outrageous!" Link exclaimed, unable to contain his surprise.
"Master need not be astonished; this is the privilege of being the ruler of the realm of the undead. You can manipulate all the powers of the undead realm at will, without fear of any backlash!"
"However, while your follower can quickly gain immense power, they cannot cast spells directly without incantations like you can. They must chant spells for both summoning and casting,
meaning all their actions require your consent!" the Big-Eyed Demon patiently explained.
"I understand!" Link took a deep breath, finally managing to suppress the excitement bubbling within him!
After all, although his strength had surged dramatically, he had only just reached the level of a 9th-level novice practitioner!
And Ron, without lifting a finger, could be elevated to just one small level below him with a mere nod!
This made Link feel that his realm of the undead was truly full of endless possibilities, and he suspected there were even more surprises waiting for him to uncover!
Forcing himself to calm down, Link looked up again at Ron, who was still joyfully playing with the skeleton soldier, and couldn't help but mutter in frustration,
"Guess you've hit the jackpot, you rascal!"
With that, he finally extended his hand and pointed sternly at Ron!
