Chapter 44 - Egghead and EMET (Part 5)

The air around Egghead Island crackled with tension as Luffy faced off against both Saint Saturn and Admiral Kizaru. The clash of Haki reverberated across the battlefield, their auras so intense that even seasoned Marines kept their distance. Kizaru, with his light-based attacks, zipped across the battlefield with almost blinding speed, but Luffy was no longer the rookie he once was. His movements were sharp, calculated, his Observation Haki seeing further into the future than Kizaru could anticipate.

"Still so slow," Luffy teased with a grin as he deflected a barrage of light beams with casual ease, using Conqueror's Haki-infused punches. He weaved through the light at lightning speed, his fists glowing with the power of Armament Haki, clashing directly with Kizaru's defenses. The sheer force of their strikes sent shockwaves throughout the island, shattering the ground beneath them and rattling the skies.

Saint Saturn, meanwhile, watched the battle with growing impatience. The Elder's power radiated outward, a darkness that threatened to consume everything in its path. His awakened form revealed an inhuman presence— a towering, monstrous figure with an aura of despair. "You've made a grave mistake, Joyboy," Saturn's voice was like a low growl. "You may have inherited his will, but you will fall here."

Luffy's smirk didn't waver. "I don't care who you are. If you get in the way of my crew's freedom, you're going down!" With that, he launched himself at Saturn, his body flowing with lightning, his limbs transforming into thunderbolts, ethereal and lethal. His fists hammered down on Saturn, each blow infused with Conqueror's Haki that rattled Saturn's own monstrous defense.

For a moment, the battle seemed evenly matched. But then, Saturn's eyes glowed a deep red, and with a snap of his fingers, the other Elders appeared, as if summoned from thin air. Each one transformed into their fully awakened Zoan forms, creatures of myth and legend, their combined presence turning the atmosphere heavy and suffocating.

The Elders circled Luffy, their eyes widening as they realized just who he was. "Joyboy… He's returned…" one of them muttered, their voices filled with shock. "But this Haki… it's… stronger."

As if to confirm their fears, Luffy stood taller, eyes gleaming with determination. His presence seemed to expand, his Haki stretching out across the battlefield, denser and more refined than ever before. "More more Haki, fivefold!" Luffy announced, his voice shaking the air itself. His aura erupted, growing five times stronger in an instant, crushing the hopes of his enemies under the weight of his overwhelming power.

The Elders, despite their demonic forms, flinched as the pressure bore down on them. Even Kizaru faltered, a bead of sweat forming on his brow as he felt the true gap in strength between them and Luffy.

No longer playing around, Luffy's next move was devastating. His body shifted into a more divine state, his Zoan awakening taking the form of Indra, the mythical god of storms and war. He now had four muscular arms, crackling with divine lightning, and held a glowing staff that pulsed with electric energy. His features, sharp and otherworldly, exuded a sense of both beauty and raw power.

The sky above them darkened as if recognizing the presence of a god. Luffy's voice boomed across the battlefield as he prepared his final attack. "Raihou Indra: Judgment!"

Lightning split the heavens as Luffy swung his staff downward, unleashing a blinding flash that consumed the battlefield. The light was so intense that it erased the Elders from sight, their bodies vaporized before they even had a chance to counterattack. The immense blast expanded outward, shaking the island to its core, until the light finally dimmed.

When the brightness faded, there was nothing left of Luffy's opponents. The Elders and Kizaru were gone—vanished, their existence erased in a single, godly strike. The Marines who witnessed the battle could only stare in stunned silence, unsure of what to make of what they had just seen.

Luffy, standing amidst the destruction, laughed—a deep, hearty laugh that echoed across the battlefield. "That was fun!" he said, looking at his hands as if he hadn't even fully grasped the limits of his power.

His crew, sensing the growth in their captain's strength, couldn't help but join in the laughter. Zoro, Sora, and Franky chuckled at the sheer ridiculousness of Luffy's abilities, while Nami looked on with a mix of awe and disbelief.

Over at Zoro Squad's battlefield:

The battlefield was alive with the clashing of blades, fists, and immense power as Zoro, Sora, Nami, Franky, and EMET stood tall against the overwhelming force of the Marines led by Kizaru and Saint Saturn. Now with Luffy facing the Elders, it was up to the rest of the crew to deal with the hundreds of elite Marines.

Zoro glanced at Sora, both understanding each other without words. They were surrounded by powerful Marines, but a smirk crossed their faces as they prepared for a coordinated strike.

"Time to clean up this mess, Zoro?" Sora asked, gripping his blade, his eyes glowing with anticipation.

Zoro's swords shimmered, coated in dense Haki. "Yeah, let's show them the true power of swordsmanship."

Together, they leaped into the air, their swords drawing arcs of light and wind. As they crossed paths midair, their combined energy created a vortex of raw power. They both slashed downward with all their might, Haki-infused strikes intertwining.

"Kirin-Garyū: Stormbreaker Vortex!"

The combination of Zoro's destructive three-sword style and Sora's lightning-infused speed sent a spiraling tornado of cutting wind and electric destruction through the ranks of Marines, tearing through their defenses and leaving nothing but devastation in their wake. The storm of energy raged as it cut through everything in its path, sending hundreds of Marines flying.

Nami stood back with her Clima-Tact raised, ready to unleash her newest creation. Franky had already prepped his ultimate weapon, his most powerful mecha suit yet, named General Thrasher, a towering mechanical beast armed with even more overwhelming firepower.

EMET, the ancient robot, stood tall, his eyes glowing with ancient energy. He had witnessed battles that stretched back over 900 years, and now it was time to unleash one of his most destructive attacks.

"Franky, ready?!" Nami shouted, her staff crackling with energy as she summoned an enormous storm cloud above their heads.

"You know it!" Franky yelled, as the thrusters on his suit roared to life. "Let's give them everything we've got!"

With that, Nami raised her Clima-Tact, summoning the full force of the storm cloud. Lightning crashed from the sky, guided by her staff, as Franky's General Thrasher opened its cannons, launching beams of concentrated energy into the mass of Marines.

"Tempest Cannon: Thunderstorm Inferno!"

As the lightning met Franky's energy blasts, the combined attack obliterated the Marine forces in a massive explosion of fire and electricity, leaving craters where the soldiers once stood.

But it wasn't over. EMET stepped forward, his eyes glowing brighter as he charged up ancient energy, a technique not seen for centuries.

"Judgment of Kurma: Heaven's Annihilation!"

A massive wave of ancient power erupted from EMET's body, engulfing the remaining Marines in an indestructible wave of raw energy. His voice echoed with the weight of a forgotten era as the attack vaporized everything in its path, leaving only smoldering ruins behind.

In the aftermath, a few trembling survivors scrambled to their feet. Zoro crossed his arms, letting his swords rest at his sides as Sora tapped her High-Heels on the ground.

"We left enough to send the message," Zoro remarked, eyeing the trembling Marines who managed to survive the onslaught.

"Yeah, these guys better run back to their superiors and let them know what's coming," Franky added with a grin.

The Marines fled, barely able to comprehend the overwhelming force they had faced. As they made their way back to their superiors, they carried with them the terror of what they had witnessed.

Back at Marine Headquarters, the atmosphere was tense. The Fleet Admiral, Akainu, sat at his desk, listening to the trembling report of the surviving Marines who had returned from Egghead Island. The reports painted a grim picture.

"Admiral Kizaru... presumed dead. Saint Saturn... presumed dead," one of the Marines managed to say, his voice shaking. "The Straw Hats, they... they unleashed something... unstoppable."

Akainu's face twisted in anger as he processed the news. "So... the Straw Hat and his crew are getting bolder. And now they've taken Vegapunk too," he growled. His fists clenched tightly, magma slowly dripping from his hand. "Send every available fleet. We need to end them before they become an even bigger threat."

The room fell silent, as the weight of the report settled over everyone present. The world had just learned the hard way that the Straw Hat Pirates were no longer a force to be underestimated. The world would soon face the wrath of a new era led by the future Pirate King, Monkey D. Luffy.
