Chapter 35 - Early

"Well, why are you still here? Leave!" He continued to yell at her. Is this your glass house?" she questioned him calmly. She chose the tactic of a snake, coiling up before striking as hard as she could.

"Well...I...It doesn't matter! Don't overstep your boundaries here!" he fumbled about his words. Just as she had suspected, this place wasn't his. Most people who wanted to bully others would always bluff trying to make the other feel inferior especially if they were in a new environment. Sasha was pretty sure he wasn't talking about the glass house anymore. His resentment towards her was absolutely ridiculous and he was obviously trying everything to make her feel guilty. Too bad she wasn't such a pushover. "Look Sir, I know you don't trust me, and believe you me the feeling is mutual. It doesn't mean you have the right to talk to me that way, especially when it's been proved that I'm not her!"

"What's going on here!" A stern and chilling voice rang throughout the glass house. Sasha was shocked to see Orion standing at the entrance, his eyes blazing like a huge inferno. "Sire!" Yul immediately spun around. "I was just passing by when I saw her here tampering with the flowers. I just wanted to make her aware she wasn't supposed to be here." he tried to explain himself. Sasha just gritted her teeth in anger. This old man was absolutely shameless.

Orion massaged his temples. Fortunately, his work had ended much earlier than he had expected so he had an opportunity to rest a bit. Unfortunately, it seemed that these two were bent on destroying his much-needed peace. "Yul, excuse us" He interrupted Yul's ranting. "Huh?" Yul was puzzled. Why was it him that had to leave? "Yes Sire" he could only hide his anger and had to relent. He made sure to glare at Sasha hatefully before stomping out.

"You truly shouldn't be here." Orion's gaze swept across her. It had been just over a week since she began living in the Palace but she already looked much better than when they had found her at the river bank. She looked chubbier and healthier. He could only continue to extend her stay to appeal to his somewhat egalitarian principles. "I'm sorry, I overstepped my boundaries, I'll leave now." She clutched her gown tightly with both hands extremely embarrassed. She never expected to see Orion again so early. Feeling bad for her he sighed. "I'll talk to Yul, he won't give you anymore trouble."
