[ 27 seconds after Croviel killed Zyran]
Looking at his now partially burnt hand, Croviel felt disgusted and disturbed. As he watched his hand slowly heal, his thoughts went back to what happened earlier while he continued walking towards the still frozen Sofia. 'Without a doubt, that human was about to awaken'. He softly rubbed his hand, as Zyran's proclamation repeated in his head, further worsening his mood. 'And I have a feeling that things would have turned ugly if that were to happen. I should have just taken them to the gate instead of playing with them but that female human... There was something about her that I found hard to resist. It's a shame she was fragile and just died on me, I would have loved to add her to my collection of fine creatures'. Croviel turned his head towards Alora's body. 'Her soft skin really felt good in the hand, I'm almost tempted to take that body back with me'.
He returned his sights back on Sofia, 'This one isn't half bad either. I guess I'll have to settle for her'. Croviel reached Sofia and held her by the chin, turning her head to face him. 'Those dead eyes are such a turn off. This is why I don't like breaking them too soon, it just takes away all the fun. No matter, it's the body I'm actually after anyway'. He then examined Sofia's body like he was looking at a tasty dish, even going as far as to lick his lips. 'Pig or not, she's a fine one. Unfortunately, I won't be able to hear her beg under me since she's already broken, such a pity'.
'Sigh!'
"I should probably return to that red muscle head—". Croviel stopped talking when he suddenly felt something extremely heavy on his shoulder, which made his knees almost buckle. "What is—". His words got caught on his throat when he turned his head and saw a hand lying on top of his shoulder. 'Impossible! How can anyone sneak up on me without alerting my senses. Unless...' Croviel felt a cold sweat trailing down his back.
"Turn around". A voice resounded behind Croviel, one that sounded familiar but yet different.
Turning around completely, Croviel almost stumbled down when he saw who stood behind him. His eyes were wide open as he said: Y-you! Your supposed to be dead, I destroyed your heart, so how the heck are you still alive?". Croviel stuttered as he tried to make sense of the situation. He scrutinized the human that stood before him, even going as far as to rub his eyes incase he was starting to see things. 'Just what's going on?'. He questioned himself. 'How did he heal his injuries?'. Croviel further questioned himself when he saw that the grazed cheek and the hole in the chest was gone.
The man who caught Croviel off guard looked at his now empty hand and then back at Croviel, his expression was blank and unreadable. That's when Croviel finally noticed that he looked different. Unlike before, his messy black hair was no longer completely black, as the tips of his hair strands now had a purple shade whilst his eyes were now no longer blue but purple, with slits. He also appeared to be taller while his torn suit struggled to contain his new more refined physique. The one thing that currently stood out in him was the faint purple dot on his forehead. His whole demeanour was different, as if he was an entirely different person.
"How are you still alive? Tell me now before I kill you again!". Croviel pushed back the fear that was starting to build up and questioned the human. He really wanted to know how a human could survive after having their heart destroyed. 'Its just Impossible'.
'Zyran' who was scanning his surroundings as if trying to familiarise himself with the area, Stopped what he was doing and slowly turned his head towards Croviel, his expression slowly morphing from curious to amused. "It has been quite a while since someone dared to use that tone on me. You have grown arrogant... Croviel". As 'Zyran' spoke, his tone was full of unquestionable authority.
Croviel felt his heart skip a beat when he heard his name coming out of the mouth of a human. 'I never told him my name?'. When he realised this, his fear turned into dread. "Just who are you? And how do you know me?". His tone was laced with fear when he asked this.
"Don't you remember me, Brat?". Zyran's left eyebrow slowly rised up. While a purple aura slowly began to cover his body, making the surrounding space begin to distort.
Croviel's body froze as he finally realised who was standing Infront of him. With his expression slowly turning ugly, he raised his shaky hand and pointed at 'Zyran'. "Y-you! Your—". Before he could finish, he felt a palm being gently placed on his chest. 'Fast... I didn't even see him move!'.
"Unfortunately... I didn't permit you to speak my name".
Before Croviel could speak, he felt his body becoming lighter as it began to lift off the ground , he tried resisting but he couldn't as his limbs felt like they were binded together. Then all of a sudden his vision blurred, when his vision cleared again he found himself surrounded by clouds, looking down he saw the whole of Moon city in all it's grandeur. He could feel the cold wind brushing against his skin, as the city's beautiful lights reflected in his green eyes. Before he could continue to appreciate the view, his body suddenly felt heavy, as if he was carrying mountains. He started plummeting down, his speed picking up by the seconds. Within 30 seconds, his body broke the sound barrier and continued picking up speed, heading directly towards the city. As the winds grew stronger, they began to slice parts of his exposed skin only for the wounds to heal seconds later, while his eyes became so teary it obscured his vision. He tried with all his strength to fight it off but he couldn't, never in his life has Croviel felt so helpless. His fear turned into worry as he watched the ground slowly drawing closer.
1 500 metres...
1200 metres...
700 metres...
300 metres...
150 metres..
Croviel closed his eyes and gritted his teeth...
'BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!'
An explosion of unparalleled force occured directly within one of Moon city's parks, causing a shockwave that obliterated buildings around the area of impact. The ground vibrated ceaselessly as the whole city experienced powerful seismic activity and beyond, causing some of the furthest buildings to collapse due to the constant shaking. A huge fiery mushroom shaped cloud formed and pushed all the surrounding clouds aside, it could be seen from miles away. All that remained of the once beautiful park was a 104 metre deep crater while all the buildings surrounding the crater were destroyed , killing all the occupants hiding within. Some of them not even being aware of how they died.
The crater was surrounded by scotched desolate land with the nearest building being 40 kilometres away. From the sky one would see that 1/5 of Moon City was destroyed in the explosion. Leading to the loss of thousands of lives. It is without a doubt a truly devastating event.
Lying naked within a 104 metre deep crater was the former proud demon Croviel, his current state was nothing but horrible. Everything from the waist down was gone, obliterated on impact. This led to his innards coming out and sprawling on the ground, as black blood profusely leaked out, forming a puddle beneath him. One of his arms was burnt into a crisp while his other arm was mangled beyond recognition. His right eye was missing whilst all his hair was burnt off, leaving him bold. Even though his body was visibly healing, it was extremely slow. It would take time to completely heal, time he didn't have.
It was at that moment that Croviel felt the wind picking up, followed by the sound of slowly approaching footsteps. He didn't need to be told who was coming, for he already knew. 'I can't feel my legs. I can't even move a single limb. Who would of thought that 'I' Croviel would be reduced to such a miserable state by 'him' no less. How is he back... Both his body and soul were destroyed thousand's of years ago. So how did he— Argh!'. Croviel's thought's were interrupted when he felt his body becoming heavy once more, this time slowly sinking into the ground. He could feel his bones breaking from the pressure, just to heal again, like a never ending torture.
He gritted his sharp teeth, trying to bear with the pain. Slowly, he twisted his neck and with his one eye he saw the cause of his current state standing a few steps away with his arms folded, his expression was serene. It was as if he wasn't affected by the fact that he destroyed 1/5 of a city whilst also taking the lives of thousands of people. This only further reassured Croviel of who this was. "Why... Cough! Cough! Cough!". Croviel tried to speak, only to choke on his own blood. "... are you 'cough!' d-doing this? 'cough!' aren't you also a fellow— Aaaaahhhhh!!!". Before Croviel could finish his body's weight further increased, causing his chest to sink in. He could barely move his body now, let alone talk.
"You should really shut it..."
